Server was amazing and paid very close attention to our vegetarian eater and we left a big tip because of his mindfulness.

Fries were cooked really good, we always ask for extra crispy and they delivered
Malts were the best part of the meal, probably could have just had those
Took my kids there for dinner. Michael was our server. As usual, he was funny, attentive, and provided excellent service. Food was good too. 👍
Black Bear is one of my consistent go-to restaurants. Food is always fresh, priced at a value and service is fast and friendly.
Good neighborhood diner. Staffs are friendly. Good is delicious and generous portion. Price is quite reasonable. While indoor dining is prohibited, they have outdoor sitting at the parking lot. They also have carryout.

I always order there full course big foot chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and onions ring and it is always amazing and tasting oh so wonderful^° I especially love the old cabin feel of it making it very cozy

Sorry IHOP I had to upgrade! The server Michelle hear really made my day with her warm and gentle service. She also knew what I wanted before I could even open my mouth!? The staff will correct something wrong right away and are very efficient in their work.
And the food?! Oh man...😋 Their country red potatoes are made just right as well as their hashbrowns. And the pancakes are huge so, one is usually pretty good...you've got to be hungry for two of them; and, I don't know what magic the cook works but, the pancakes are not too moist and not too dry or airy...there's just real substance in those hotcakes.
It's been such a long time since I've really wanted to eat all of the food off of my plate and Black Bear Diner in Danville is where it's at. Don't know about their other locations but, there's only outdoor seating at this time yet, that doesn't stop the people from coming in. Well worth your time and money folks!
The picture is of their Chicken Sausage and Eggs. It usually comes with toast but, you can substitute it for a pancake which I did! 😋 😋 😋

On a Saturday around 1 pm were able to walk in with 8 people. They seated and served our party quickly. It's a standard diner so it is diner food, nothing truly special but it is still good.
Excellent service, but there was hardly anyone in the place. The food was simple, a Belgian waffle, eggs, and bacon cooked just right. Food was delivered fast and got us out quickly. The only downside was a smelly/dirty restroom.
We just love black bear diner! The price and food tastiness can’t be beat! Their online ordering system is seamless and you just walk in and your food is waiting in a stapled brown bag with your name on it. And if you’re lucky, they’ll send you home with a little after breakfast treat!
