Service was really great! Food was even better!! Really great quality for a pretty penny (it's a bit expensive) but you get what you pay for in my opinion. I had the Duroc Pork Chop. It was cooked to perfection. And their ice cream is made from water buffalo milk! You should definitely try it!
Dined at Albatross for Mother’s Day Brunch and it was pretty nice. The menu was rather small for a special occasion menu, and we were seated on the patio instead of under the covered tent despite the risk of showers. Food and drinks were tasty, but service was nice but a little lacking. I would dine here again with friends but probably not for a special occasion.
That was our first time at Albatross but surprisingly all our dishes were good! We tried strawberry gazpacho (for a hot day), whole branzino fish (really good! no bones!), honey fried chicken (not salty at all, five stars for that - usually restaurant food in US is way oversalted), and curry mussels in creamy sauce w/ bread - superb! For desert we had bread pudding - not too sweet, nor too fatty - ideal to finish a good meal. The cappuccino was very good too - better than in most famous coffee shops. Pleasant surprises all around - pretty rare in my personal experience! P.S. main dishes are pretty big, but we did not hesitate to take leftovers home.
Food looked great and tasted good, but the main entree portions were on the smaller side for what was being charged. The eggs in the Prospect Benedict (smoked salmon) and Diablo Benedict (Dungeness Crab) we’re cooked to oozy perfection.
Service was friendly, but slow and uneven. Initially was asked if we were ready to order. We weren’t ready. Sat and waited for awhile once we were ready to the point one of the owners came by and took our order. It took awhile for our food to be served -the restaurant was less than half full and there wasn’t a lot waitstaff.
The mimosa royal and fresh squeezed blood orange juice was tasty.
Came here for a 1 pm brunch with the family with a reservation. Atmosphere was farmhouse chic.
After brunch Lattes were disappointing. A lot of milk foam which made the latte cooler and tasted more milky than it should be for a $6/cup. There was no latte art either. Would not order a latte here again
#kidfriendly - there was a pricy simple kids menu and access to high chairs. We ordered for our kids from the main menu because the portion was bigger for $3 more (Each at $10 - 3 kids menu was 1 pancake with fresh fruit, 1 mini hamburger with fresh fruit, or 1 French Toast with fresh fruit). However, there was no diaper changing table in either men’s or women’s restrooms.
#dogfriendly - place welcomes dogs and they get to eat with their campions in the outdoor dining are in front of the restaurant
This beautiful spot contributed to one of my favorite group brunches in a long time. They easily accommodated a large table for us outdoors at opening time and had crayons ready for the kids. Service was good and the menu items were all presented well with a great variety.
Had a great Mother's Day Brunch! Awesome benedicts and killer Bloody Marys. Great service and atmosphere. Very popular, make rezzies.
Our first time here. We had reservations, and in spite of it being crowded, we were seated right away.
The place was clean, the staff friendly, and more important the food was great!
I couldn't decide between the short ribs and the hanger steak, but ultimately went with the steak. I really enjoyed it so we'll definitely have to come back so we can try that and other dishes that looked good on the menu.
I showed up here to try a new brunch spot. The place was relatively empty, so it was nice that the waitress was actually attentive. I passed on the chicken and waffles, as a breast was the only option for chicken. I ordered the chilaquiles and absolutely loved it. The pomegranate mimosa was tasty, as well. It seems the menu changes often, so I will likely be back to try something different.
Wonderful patio and a welcoming staff and atmosphere. The food will blow you away, and Todd killed it with the drink menu. I'll be back again and again, and so will you. The crunchy kale and halibut are game-changers. The short rib, the blistered shishito peppers, the hanger steak, everything is incredible. Chef Angel is a prodigy.
One of my fave spots in Danville. Posh modern decor, nice patio and sidewalk seating, friendly staff, great food, reasonably priced. Love, their brunch, but also good for lunch and dinner.
