This is a great place to eat. We found the Dayton Diner on line, read other reviews and decided to give it a try. Dinner Saturday evening was wonderful. So good we went back Sunday morning for breakfast. Again we were not disappointed. The decor is reminiscent of the 60's with Elvis, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe , etc. Very clean and you can't beat the staff. Renee was our waitress Saturday evening and we had Karen on Sunday morning. The owner came to our table no less than 3 times both times we we're there. The prices are reasonable. The table set ups are good too. There's plenty of space so that you don't feel like you are sitting on top of one another. This is a must go to kind of place for us the next time we are driving through. Wish we had a place like this back home.

Great place to eat anytime of day. Great breakfast specials and plenty of hot coffee refills. Huge menu with sandwiches and meals. Dinner specials and it's BYOB.
We go there often with friends after church. The food is always good, prices are reasonable & great service, especially the gentleman that works to the right. Sorry I don’t recall names.

The essential Jersey Diner in almost the exact center of the Garden State. Anything here is great anytime!
Good Food, Good People, staff treats you like family nd have put on many parties and Happy meals for Our family in good times and sad. They have a very relaxed environment that makes dinning so much more enjoyable. Did I mention they also have take out too.
The French onion soup was great as was the open face real fresh turkey platter

Lunch and dessert portions were large and price is great overall. We really like the Aesthetics of the restaurant. It’s like a 50-60’s feeling with music playing from the same era. The manager is very nice and helpful. The one critique I have is the wait staff have not been warm and friendly.
Ok I stumbled on this diner last week and I'll be back again for sure! The diner is clean and it was such a pleasure to be waited on quickly with hot fresh food! It's not too often you get a restaurant able to deliver all three. Clean Great Wait Staff and Delicious Food!!!!
This is a nice old school diner. Nice 50s motif. We stopped by for breakfast and we're not disappointed. The food was good, the place was clean and the service was outstanding.

I had the stuffed salmon special. It was not fishy tasting, which is always a concern for me when ordering from a restaurant not known for seafood. The stuffing had huge chunks of crab or sea legs. The soup special was fantastic. My husband had the taste of Greece appetizer. It was huge and fresh. Service was excellent. Desserts were good too, although not made in house. My only complaint was that my Broccoli side tasted like freezer burn or old refrigerator.
We went on Wednesday and the diner was all in a Valentines Day Theme. It's pasta night and you get soup or salad, main course and a dessert all for one price. Excellent service to go with the food as well. Need to come back on Prime Rib night and try that!
I was very excited when we figured out this was a new location of an old favorite in Dayton. You would expect all the diner classics; everything is fresh, made to order how you want it, and always prepared correctly. Check out the "soup of the day"; they have some fantastic soups! The atmosphere is electric; the staff is always friendly and attentive.
