5 stars is not enough for this Diamond in the rough. They are not always super busy, but that adds to the Masterpiece that is Chef Paul. To start, his 100 year old mother still comes out and takes care of the customers, always pushing you to eat more (like a good Italian mother should), she even turned a few chairs into a bed and brought out a pillow for our 7 year old who was super tired and falling asleep before we got there. Our waitress Nadine was excellent and took care of anything we needed. The Chef (Paul) comes out to your table to personally tell you the specials and returns after you get your food to make sure you like it. At the end he brings all the ladies in your party a beutiful rose and upon leaving the restaurant he was there to say goodbye. This truly felt like we were at our family's house eating with relatives. All of this fantastic experience doesn't even compare to the food. OH MY GOD, the food. From the appetizers to the fresh table-made Caesar salad to the entrees and dessert. I couldn't decide on what to eat and other diners there told me don't worry, no matter what you get will be awesome and THEY WERE RIGHT!! My only regret is that we live in NJ and won't be back untill next year. We will be back though and recommend anyone that is ever in Daytona Beach, you must eat at Chez Paul!! Thank you Paul, Nadine and Grandma for THE BEST dining experience we have ever had!!!!!
We were a table of 8 and we all give this restaurant 5 stars. Absolutely amazing from the time we arrived and left. We can't say enough about Paul and his staff and how they all treated us like family....and they are family. Paul's mom Ellen who is 99 delighted us with her special personality and such a hard worker. Thank you Ellen. Steve will now eat his bread!😂 Nadine who took such good care of us and answering all our questions. Joe and Charlie wirh extensive wine and service knowledge. Every selection of food was awesome ...beyond words. The stories Paul told to make us laugh were so special and precious. The entire dinner was a wonderful experience. We can't thank you all enough. We will never forget our experience at Chez Paul. I second the review below from HH. Here, family cares about you and are very much proud of their products. The attention to detail goes beyond words. Chez Paul comes out to explain the meals, Nadine, Joe and Grandma made sure we had everything we needed at all times. Grandma even gave us some great anise at the end of our visit and because it was our first time there, we got signed the guest book. The roses for the girls was a sweet gesture.
All I can say is WOW!!!! From the service, the owner greeting you with his mother who’s over 100 you couldn’t ask for better food or better service. It was our 51st anniversary and they brought us complementary champagne and a complementary after dinner drink. They went way and beyond what you would expect in any restaurant. The prices were great and the food was outstanding. THIS IS A GOLDEN GEM!!!
We had the most fun here. This is a course menu, so take your time and have fun. We will definitely be back. Thank you all for a wonderful time.
You can tell this family is extremely passionate about all facets of running this restaurant, from food quality, to service, to atmosphere and tradition. Everyone there cares about creating the perfect experience. The chef is very present throughout the experience and is obviously extremely proud of his team’s work, as he should be. We got several free tastes of things throughout the night, like fresh pesto pasta and sorbet to clean the pallet before the next course, and the rose for the women was a fine detail. Our rockstar/drummer waitress, Nadine, definitely makes it into the hall of fame for perfect service, as does gentle Joe, who uncorks fine wines and prepares a traditional table side caesar salad and frothy cappuccinos with finesse. The queen of hospitality, of course, is Grandma. This social butterfly is 100 years old and makes sure you have everything you need to enjoy your meal. She made some amazing suggestions for dinner, too. We will definitely be back.
Step away from the algorithms, the glitz of International Speedway. Step back into a more relaxed environment where food is presented and prepared by a chef and served by a staff who actually engage in conversation, instead of taking your order and running, only to reappear with something lukewarm at best. Chez Paul is as unique in atmosphere as its food is a culinary delight. Don't miss it.

You are greeted by Chez Paul and you are introduced to his exceptional staff that makes you feel like family. They cater to you during your dining experience, no rush just relax and enjoy. The abombance the of the dining area is relaxing and cozy but enough to accommodate large parties. The appetizers, dinners and desserts are made to perfection for your pallett. Expect traditional, homemade Italian and French cuisine which is exceptionally well prepared. Also, have your salad and dessert made table side! And enjoy the spirits!
