I had the lamb burger, fries and Vinny Vinny Viechee drink. It was actually the best and drink I’ve had since I moved here two years ago!
The Food was unbelievable along with the warm, knowledgable and engaging staff and add in the distinguished ambiance...this place was simply spectacular!! Metaphorically speaking it truly is an oasis in the desert!! If you haven't YOU MUST GO!!
Awesome food! The service was excellent. Ask for Jeff he's the best! The selection of wine paired well with the food. My favorite was the chickpea and cherry salad. It paired well with the burger!

I've been a customer for years and an afternoon meal during DBF is now a tradition with all my friends. The great service has been consistent throughout the years. I love that the menu is eclectic but has options for every appetite. The adult beverage offerings are always exciting. I've yet to meet a cocktail I didn't like. Lastly, any restaurant that serves bacon by the glass is a winner! Long live Leons!
Ask for Maurice to give you a drink flight, he is amazing. The food, drinks, and atmosphere define Atlanta and Downtown Decatur for me. Simple, sophisticated, artistic, and welcoming. I go ever time I’m in town.
Excellent food. Was pleasantly surprised that they had a vegetarian menu. I had the miso risotto which was delicious. The staff were attentive, pleasant and helpful in every way.
Leon's beats to a different drum in a great way. The hummus plate & cocktail was terrific! If you haven't yet, try Leon's now. They have a nice food & cocktail menu. Eat inside or outside. The staff were the best.
Anytime I'm in Atlanta or anywhere nearby, I will make the trek to eat here. The food was delicious - with recipes that I felt were composed to maximize the flavor composition and not merely to include the latest hip ingredients. The drinks were fantastic. Service was done well - attentive but not bothersome. Best of all, I felt the prices were in line with what the food was worth - which doesn't always happen in Atlanta.
After participating in an awesome scavenger hunt (no, seriously, it was a blast and I may have to write up an additional review), Hubs, the Niece and Nephew (ages 11 and 13, respectively) and I were ready for something to eat (and a cool place to sit). As Decatur has plenty to offer, I was looking for a kid-friendly spot that didn’t have a wait. We had passed Leon’s Full Service during our search for clues, and doubling back, it seemed to fit the bill. We decided to sit outside (voted ‘very cool’ for the misters that were set up) and were promptly greeted by our waiter. The name of the restaurant, in case you were wondering, takes a cue from both the filling station the venue used to be as well as the alcohol selection.
Food was incredible. Great flavor a and good ambiance. But, pretty sure the server forget to hit send. Waited a long time for entrees but manager was great and took a couple of items off our bill. I would still go back.
After reading some of the other most-recent reviews I was a bit hesitant regarding Leon's and attended a small dinner party of 8 last night (Friday) with some misgivings and lower expectations. I'm happy to say that this local restaurant/bar was much, much better than expected and the entire experience exceeded my expectations.
My dining companion and I arrived about 8:00 PM - note that the city of Decatur had decided to close down the main drag and fill it with many tons of sand in order to create a festival "beach" atmosphere for whatever occasion they were celebrating - so the noise level and unwashed humanity were both intense (and parking minimal). We had just completed a ride on the Silver Comet taking time only to rinse down our bikes and thoroughly wash ourselves before heading to the birthday dinner - I think after parking and walking to the restaurant we made it by about 10 after. The honoree and his wife were waiting for us outside having a few brews so we joined them while waiting for the rest to arrive (all fashionably late I might add) - we asked to be seated outside at their long table (there may have been as many as 10 or 12 showing but some got scared off by the noise and lack of parking so the final tally was 8).
While waiting I sampled some of their brews on tap - quite an assortment, enough to satisfy even the most picky of beer aficionados - and settled on a hoppy IPA for the evening. As people began to arrive we were seated and ordered some appetizers for the table - these included two buckets of pub frites (skin-on fried potatoes) and a pot of mussels. Leon's does something magical with your basic fries by doing them up crisp then allowing you to pick up to three of their sauces (so we tried 6 with the two buckets). To say these were good would be an understatement - our selection included: peppercorn gravy, masaman curry, madras curry catsup, smoked tomato mayonnaise, black pepper mayonnaise and fresh horseradish mayonnaise - I think my favorite was the horseradish mayo - what a great, inexpensive appetizer to get things going. The Prince Edward Island mussels we ordered were flat out great too - an amazing lemongrass broth and the baguettes were made for dipping - place a mussel on top and you get a satisfying, juicy, meaty bite. The pot was also a good appetizer to split - everyone got two or three bites - just enough to get the saliva going. Fortunately we weren't plagued by all the flies that Vanessa T. reported during her lunch visit (and we were outside - maybe the trick is to order them in the open?).
For entrees we sampled a wide variety including three sammiches (burger, steak, beef brisket and turky schnitzel), ribeye, sea scallops, calamari, baby arugula, radishes, another order of pub frites and lug nuts (sort of a nut brittle, this one had almonds in it). Everything we shared and tried were wonderful with one exception - the burger came adorned with a mustard that obliterated the taste of the grass-fed beef (I'd recommend all the condiments on the side). I had the panko-coated, fried turkey schnitzel - your basic flattened turkey breast extending to two sides of a bun, covered in a chunky slaw and thin-sliced radishes. This was served with a tiny, crunchy and intense pickle and my chosen side, a really wonderful zucchini cheddar casserole with sweet onion gravy. Not for everyone, it was the perfect side for me to cut the fried flavors (not to mention the tiny pickle - could have eaten a handful of those).
Between the two of us with drinks, two sandwiches and the pot of mussels, our portion of the bill was about $42 - not bad for an evening out in a nice restaurant. It could have been more however our guest of honor footed the bar tab (very nice of him) while we were waiting.
The ambiance of the restaurant is very hipster and bar-like - makes sense as the place is a converted gas-station (there's a Purol sign hanging inside that may be original?). The noise level was high inside, and actually fairly calm outside considering the beach party going on less than a block away. VERY little lighting outside makes reading the menu difficult (most used the light from their mobile phones) but small votives came out about 8:00 PM. There's only street parking nearby with the exception of the very large deck across the street - $5 to park there.
The best part of the experience here was the service - it was flat-out exceptional. From the hostess, the bartenders, the food runners and especially the servers, service was excellent, the people attentive and super-nice and extremely knowledgeable regarding the food, drink and beer selections. It's rare than you can get some honest recommendations using palette nuances simple for the diner to understand and where most servers fail. The training of the staff is exceptional.
Trendy gastropub in the heart of Decatur's foodie mecca. This place is hip, clean, and comfortable. They have several tables inside and a large bar area plus a very nice outside dining patio. Menu is limited and they have daily specials. My wife had a daily special, which was a buffalo shrimp sandwich with cabbage, a side of fries with garlic aioli dipping sauce. I had their burger and fries with Leon's ketchup dipping sauce. My burger was ok and not great simply because it came to me well done when I had ordered it medium. I swear this happens 9 out of 10 times when I order a burger anywhere. How hard can it be to cook a burger medium? Anyway, the beer selection is good and I'll definitely return to try other menu items. Although their fries are good, I believe that they of the frozen bagged variety. Leon's puts such a heavy emphasis on their fry dipping sauces it seems that they would want to serve them with fresh, hand-cut fries. I know other reviewers have mentioned hand cut fries and from their pics it looks like they may have received them - not the case with ours. Overall service was excellent with the entire staff pitching in to super serve patrons.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great location. Definitely a favorite place for us to go. Check it out, you won't be sorry!
Mango ketchup deliciousness. Ordered the fries to start and chose the goat cheese fondue and the garlic aioli. The server also brought us the mango ketchup because it apparently complimented the fondue very well - which it most definitely did. I ordered the lamb ribs which were spicy, tender and delicious, if a little on the fatty side. My friend ordered the chickpea side. The next day when I went to enjoy the second half of the lamb ribs for dinner (mouth was watering as I opened the "to go" box - I discovered I had the chipeas - not my thing, so very disappointed. My friend, however, was very entertained by the error. I'd be happy to eat here again.
Atmosphier and food where great
Four of you had: brisket, tuna, lite salad and clams. Desert was the oatmeal pie was a good .!!!!!
Great food, awesome beer selection, the BEST service. The food was fantastic (splurge on dessert and get an oatmeal cream pie... wow), but what really stuck out to us was the wonderful service! We had a few beers with our meal, and our waiter was able to describe the nuances of each beer and even brought us several samples. We had a great experience here... definitely worth a visit!
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant concepts and execution. The chef here is a super star in the making. Incredibly well thought out dishes that made me shake my head in amazement. If this place was in NYC, you'd have to make a reservation 3 months in advance and take out a second mortgage to afford it. We are very fortunate to have Leon's here in Decatur. And the drinks are some of the finest I've ever had. Hand crafted by unpretentious mixologists.
You can really tell that this restaurant is expertly managed and every employee genuinely cares about you having a positive experience.
An excellent place to dine. Great food, excellent service, and late night hours make this a must for anyone in the area. Completely worth the drive for a late night bite. If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd dine here once a week.
Parking is a bit hit or miss.
Food - 9.5/10 - Fresh, local, well presented an excellent
Ambiance - 10/10 - Perfect indoors or out on the patio
Service - 9/10 - You need to ask for the bill
Awesome Bar and Drinks!. Our bartender Catherine totally rocked the Pimm's Cup and the Corpse Reviver #2. Two of the best drinks I have had in a very long time!
A taxi there and back and a fabulous dinner for 4 cost the same as the previous nights dinner downtown and was better on all accounts including atmosphere. Worth the drive to decatur. Looking forward to returning.
Good times. Have been here several times. Always enjoy the food and they have awesome coffee. Seems to be the place to go on weekends.
Outstanding bar with great casual dining. We have enjoyed Leon's many times. The bar is phenomenal in that they have creative and superb cocktails, a large selection of draft craft beers and an outstanding wine list. The menu is small and focused on small plates, changes frequently and is always excellent. I especially enjoy the moules and frites, which is almost always available. Arugula salad is great but it's composition changes. Yes it is very busy and you need a reservation for weekends, but I've never experienced anything less than perfect service, like some other reviewers claim.
My party of four started with two drought Corsendonk Apple Whit beers, a Reverse Martinez, and a Tilt-A-Whirl. The stirred drinks take a few minutes to receive, but are worth the wait! Great cocktail selections! For dinner we ordered the brisket sandwich, the trout, the flat iron steak and the pork shank. We were not disappointed with any of our dishes, but the pork shank might have been our favorite. Our server Jason was very attentive. All in all we could not have asked for a better meal. We would highly recommend this trendy restaurant!
Great service warm and friendly staff!
Love it here. Great drinks - expensive but strong. The bread pudding is to die for. Of course get the fries, the garlic aioli is my favorite.
This place is always excellent! Great appitizers. Very creative and tasty menu. The staff is very warm and friendly. Fantastic beer menu.
Used to like this joint a lot until I was swarmed by flys while dining there - YUK!
Full service needs a little more full. I really liked the concept, Leon's had the look of an old gas station, hence full service. I ordered the briscut sandwich, a great open faced sandwich that is hearty, perfect for the cold blustery day. The sandwich was presented well, but it was tepid inside. They needed to heat the meat up a little more and really put on some more of the pepper gravy. Then you'd have a winner. My wife had the burger, nice but get it medium rare or medium not well done as it will dry out. The dessert was great, a mini apple pie served in a cup with ice cream on top. The beer list was great, given the owners are from Brickstore Pub. I would go back and see if the kitchen executes a little better.
Wonderful. Dined here for the first time recently and absolutely loved the food. I highly recommend
Great experience. Super friendly and helpful staff (Thanks Emily). Great food with quality presentation. Had to wait a 30 min or so to get a table, but stayed warm at the bar until. Full bar, with great range in craft and import beers. Great atmosphere and very intriguing menu; hope to be back soon to try more of it.
Great Lunch. Stopped in for lunch today. I like the industrial-like decor and the outdoor patio looks like it would be a lot of fun in warmer weather. They have a really nice beer list with some rarer selections. The service was very friendly and prompt.
As for food, I went with the the Lamb Burger lunch special. It was topped with goat cheese, arugula and a jam (can't remember what kind of jam exactly). It was absolutely incredible! I was kind of iffy on the jam before ordering, but I'm glad I went with it. It added a nice contrast in flavor. I went with the fries for the side with the goat cheese fondue; also very good. My fiancée went with the Panko-fried Turkey Schnitzel sandwich topped with radish-celery slaw and tarragon-mustard mayo. The piece of turkey was massive, both in taste and size! As for her side, she went with the zucchini-cheddar casserole which sits on top of some sweet-onion gravy. It was really good. It made me wish that I had ordered that with my sandwich.
Overall, Leon's Full Service was a great experience and I look forward to many more meals here, especially when it warms up again and we can sit outside.
I went to Leons on a Tuesday night and loved it. We sat on the deck which had a nice relaxed beachy feel. Our waitress was so sweet and I wish I could remember her name to give her props!! We had the frites (French fries) with a variety of different sauces and calamari..which was AMAZE :) the beer was also great. If you want good food, chill music and a relaxed atmosphere try it out.
Yes. You should go. Plain and simple.
Thank you!. This place was unique, fun, fresh, reasonably priced and handled our party of 12 flawlessly.
How refreshing - we will be back!
A Decatur Favorite. Leon's has it all! Great food, great people, great beer, and great service! Expect some wait during the summer, as the place is packed nearly every night.
The beer selection is wonderful, and the prices are decent. However, I come here for their pub frites - which are very addictive! They come with your choice of sauces. Be sure to try the garlic aoli and the smokey tomatoes mayo.
Leon's also features a late night menu that is always rotating with seasonal, local picks.
The atmosphere is nice, and when the place is packed you don't feel claustrophobic. When the weather is nice, they offer ample outdoor seating.
This is a perfect place to hang out with friends!
Great space, awesome service, quality food featuring local ingredients, and of course beer and cocktails. Like really good beer and cocktails. Check it out.
Leon's is awesome! My wife & I went out with some friends on July 4th. The place was absolutely slammed, but you wouldn't have known that by how smoothly everything went! We took the first available table (waited about 25 minutes b/c of the large crowd), which ended up being outside on the patio. Great atmosphere! My favorite on the menu is their mussels w/ fries. You get your choice of 2 dipping sauces - definitely go with the smoked tomato mayo for one. They serve excellent gastro pub fare with a thoughtful beer list (obviously, since Leon's is from the same folks who brought us The Brick Store Pub) and excellent service! A must for anyone visiting Decatur.
What more can I add?. This place is fantastic and EVERYTHING is delicious. I've eaten my way through overy half of their menu and it is all good...ALWAYS! Also, I'm not a huge beer fan but they have soooooo many choices that everyone will find something they like. You can't go wrong with this restaurant...did I mention that their half pound oatmeal cream pie is sinful!
In love with Leon's. Simply put - Leon's is a fantastic restaurant. Great food that is flavorful and unique combined with great service. Definitely try the bacon in a jar with peanut butter as well as the burger. I definitely recommend Leon's.
YUM!. We went tonight before going to see Chelsea Handler and sat at the bar. I love the drink menu, their selection is not the typical but that's what makes it better!! The food was absolutely outstanding, we couldn't decide on a sandwich so we ordered three (took home leftovers for a midnight snack). Everything was delicious and we are already talking about when we are going back. Great job guys!
YUM!. Ask for Holly! Our server Holly took on 13 of us on a busy saturday tonight and the service could not have been better.
The sauces were incredible - try the garlic aioli and bbq sauce and mustard were delicious. I've already planned a return trip to just eat fries and try the cocktails!
I might move to Decatur. As I left Leon's Full Service for the first time, I looked back at the locals who still packed the patio with envy.
Granted, it is only 15-20 minutes from my place in Buckhead. But considering how often I intend to come back, I should probably just save myself the gas and look into breaking my lease.
Upon arriving on the Friday night that my girlfriend and I went to the first come, first served neighborhood pub, it was apparent we were a little behind the 8-ball in discovering this place. It was packed. Since we were staring down a 1.5 hour wait, we decided to pony up to the bar.
It is not often that I would cite a cocktail as THE highlight of an overall fantastic meal, but I might just have to in this case. If you are a bourbon drinker (as I am) and you love bacon (as you should), then don't leave here without trying the Benton's Old Fashioned. They save the drippings from all of the Benton's country ham and bacon used in their various dishes and soak it overnight in bourbon. They then freeze the mixture and cut off the solidified fat, leaving behind a bourbon that is deliciously rich with the smoky and meaty taste of the bacon. This balances beautifully with the maple syrup and bitters to make a cocktail that you can't get anywhere else in town. I also had the Cebellos Fix (tequila, pineapple syrup, cilantro, lime juice and bitters) and their version of a Brown Derby, which were both great, but neither motivated me to update my Facebook status. The old fashioned did.
The pub frites are a great way to start the meal, and there is a wide selection of great dipping sauces to pair with them. We had the smokey Leon's BBQ sauce, goat cheese fondue, and the black pepper mayo. I would recommend all of them.
Next, we munched on the Pig Smorgas, which was probably my favorite dish that we ordered. The country ham, melted gruyere, cherry jam, and pineapple all blend wonderfully. The salty smokiness is cut by the sharp gruyere, balanced by the sweetness of the cherry and pineapples, and the crunchy toast gives it a nice texture. I honestly considered bypassing a main dish and just ordering four more of them.
I was really eyeballing the beef brisket sandwich for my main dish, but I went with the waiter's recommendation and had the Beef Bistro steak instead, which was really the only lackluster part of the meal. "Lackluster" may be a little harsh…it just wasn't AS great as everything else. I think the bread was just a little too thick, which gave the sandwich a dryness that was a distraction from the otherwise nice flavor combinations of the roasted red peppers and the horseradish mayo.
Overall, this place is great for dinner, for drinks, or for both. But I guess that's kind of the idea with the whole Gastropub thing, and they pull it off wonderfully.
Great atmosphere and food!!. It was date night and we were walking around the square looking for a cute restaurant to get dinner. We came across this restaurant, looked at the menu, and went in for a try! The atmosphere was very inviting and cozy! It looked to have been an old gas station converted to a restaurant, which gave it that much more character! There were many drink choices, not too over priced either, the staff was very nice, and the food was delish! We ordered the frites with the goat cheese fondue and peppercorn sauce. I had never had "frites" before, or so I thought. It turned out they were just french fries, but still very good! For my main dish I ordered the beef briscit, which was VERY tasty! It also had peppercorn sauce on it, which made it wonderful! For the side, I ordered the spinach with egg on the top. Very tasty, but I was just so stuffed I could not even finish that! Very great location, crowd and great for dates! Will go back!
I met a friend for a glass of wine (not a great selection, but with so many beers to choose from, what was I thinking?). Frites with smoky catsup mayo sauce were great, mescalin greens with goat cheese was perfect, and the steak sandwich was very filling. Great space at the bar and with the open doors, it was a relaxing and comfortable scene. I'll be back!!
What's In A Name?. I've had the pleasure of going to Leon's twice now. Each time has been a great experience. The place really lives up to Full Service with great, friendly service. The servers know their beer, too!
The first time I went with friends who knew the owners. We got to hear how there was a lot of adaptive reuse and how a lot of the architectural details were heavily considered, not just casually chosen. I've gotta say the place is beautiful and I think the proof of that comes when you see people gazing about.
That time we ordered two buckets of the frites samplers. Five sauces were chosen--the short run is that they are all delicious--the other ones we didn't choose are probably just as heavenly. I shared the open face brisket sandwich paired with the spinach, farm egg and pecan side. The kitchen surprised us when they split it over two plates for us without us asking--nice touch guys! The brisket was obviously slow cooked for a great long time trapping a lot of awesome smoky flavors. That was piled atop great crusty bread with a subsequent piling of crispy fried onions. The spinach side reminded me a lot of what spinach would taste like if you treated it like some collards. It was soft with a light vinegar flavor to it. The egg and pecan was crumbled atop it. We also ordered the calamari--less than piping hot but perfectly fried, not at all rubbery like you could easily get with someone not paying attention. Paired great with BBQ sauce. Great! Our friends ordered the cheese and meat platter and I think the beef sandwich. Both looked awesome. I've seen the meat and cheese platter at other places a little more generous but the sampling of local (state) blue cheese and salamis looked so tempting.
The second time the place was a lot more packed. Our party waited in the bar area and we got to enjoy the red hot rye (made with my favorite Red Rock!!). Service was surprising--we were hiding up near the bar and the hostess found us (impressive face recall for a packed, dark bar). She politely advised us of how imminent we'd have our table and that we should close our bar tab. Talk about awesome service. Drinks and light apps this time: another bucket of frites was split along with olives, an open-faced brisket sandwich.
What a great place--I'm so glad a quality neighborhood pub is not far.
Good food and reasonable prices, some of the menu items are a little bizzare and have interesting tastes, but I would go back
Great look & feel, fantastic beer selection, attentive staff, fun menu, food leaves room for improvement
Was indeed Full Service!. Only in its second week, Leons was hopping for a Wednesday night! Nice selection of beers on tap, and a reasonable selection of wines by the glass. Very good service for someplace still trying to settle in.
For a starter I went with the calamari (cornmeal fried calamari, leons bbq, red onion pickles ). It was good, but a little heavy on the breading for my tastes. The bbq sauce was very good. Nice smokey & spicy flavor, a little sweet.
For a main, I went with the osso buco (niman ranch pork osso bucco, roasted butternut squash, braising greens, gordon DIPA jus) that was big and fall'in off da bone moist and tender. Cooked perfect. My only complaint was that neither the seasonings or the "jus" had any of the normal richness that you'd expect with osso buco (at least the traditional veal osso buco).
All in all, a nice place with an interesting menu. Somewhere between "pub food" and true "gastropub" and I suspect that I'll return and try other things.
Leon's --- Dining with flare!. Leon's Full Service food is fantastic and reasonably priced! Walking into the restaurant I was amazed by the bar. It stands from floor to ceiling... with a sliding ladder spanning across the front. The beer taps are classic.
The outside of the building has a beautiful wood facade and two bocce ball courts that will be well used with warmer weather.
And the food. . . with fun names like 'rabbit tenders' for their classic chicken tenders and beef steak brisket sandwich are delicious. But I urge you to start with an appetizer, four of us shared a meat and cheese plate and we shared a french fry appetizer that came with our choice of three dipping sauces from their wide assortment. My favorite was the goat cheese fondue. I recommend the roasted chickpea side dish, it was perfect. We will return soon for a dessert taste.
It’s rare I venture down to delicious Decatur but it is high time I visited Leon’s. This former service station has a clean modern yet casual feel. The outdoor seating is as well laid out and attractive as it is indoors. Lots of windows inside so you get almost an outdoor feeling in there (dependent upon where you’re seated of course). The menu is short, sweet, and seasonal. The purveyors the food is coming from is listed on a chalkboard on the wall in the main dining room. I love a restaurant that proudly displays their sources. Just a handful of menu options each salads, small plates, entrees, cheeses and sandwiches. Even though the menu is limited the bar selection is not. This is a gastropub after all! The food clearly pairs well with cocktails, beer and wines. I got an order of the pork belly with kimchi grits. Hello my name is SPICY!! Super creamy and spicy grits topped with three slices of perfectly tender pork belly and fresh bright crunch kimchi slaw. Really creative and interesting dish. I couldn’t resist pub fries with smoked tomato mayo. They did not disappoint. Crispy double cooked skin on fries with your choice of condiment. A luscious side of brussel spouts hash is not to be missed. Chock full of bacon, apples and onions it really is a star on the menu even though it's a side. Leon's has many vegetarian options that won't leave a vegetarian feeling like an afterthought but still options for the carnivore to feel satisfied. Great attentive service too. I'd be a regular if I lived in Decatur. Older: Can't decide which free mac n cheese this week? Posted March 12, 2015 Author Stephanie Anderson
This is a huge order, even though it's under the small plates section of the menu. She gets a side of Brussels sprouts hash, which has bacon in with the sprouts.
“Bacon in a Glass,” and it’s just that: 6 small strips of crispy, salty bacon served in a glass. On the side is a dipping sauce of peanut butter. (Yep, peanut butter). Only in the South.
We had a wonderful time at Leon’s and it was a great meal that we really enjoyed. When you’re in Decatur, you MUST go to Leon’s!
Whenever I hear the name Leon, I am immediately taken back to Midnight Madness's , quirky but brilliant scavenger hunt mastermind, Leon. Now that I got that out of the way, let's talk about the restaurant. Apparently this place is run by the Brickstore fo

On Tuesday, I went with some friends to try out Leon's Full Service . Leon's is a relatively new-ish gastropub owned by the folks who own Brick Store and Twain's - two of my most beloved bars/restaurants in Atlanta (specifically Decatur). Everyone and the
Last weekend was a great one food-wise for me, as I got to visit Star Provisions, Holeman Finch, and even convinced Mario to ride out to Decatur to try Leon's Full Service . Leon's Full Service Leon's was packed when we arrived, and since we didn't have a
Leon's is a newer eatery in Decatur, well liked by print media and bloggers, long lived on "most talked about" charts and an inducer of enormous quantities of flowery and ornate prose. Something about this place induces people to indulge their writing mus
I visited this new hotspot before I decided to start Tongue Sausage, but my experience there was so great that I wanted to go ahead and tell about it. "Leon's" is located in downtown Decatur, and comes from the guys that created one of my other favorite s
Came here today for drinks and appetizers before dinner. We parked in a lot that was about a block away from the restaurant which wasn’t a bad walk, but still a walk.
My fiancé loved the decor outside and we were instantly seated when we approached the door. We were seated at one table but moved to another by the waitress because it wasn’t the cleanest.
My fiancé did have what looked like parsley in her water glass which was weird but understandable.
We ordered two cocktails and both were DELICIOUS! Will definitely be back for the drinks.
We had the olives and the charcuterie board and both were great choices.
We’ll definitely be back again to try more of the menu which was small but seemed well thought out with quality options.
Had dinner here last night and everything was awesome. It has been a while since I have been at a restaurant where every single thing I had was delicious. Drinks, appetizers, entrée all delicious, flavorful, and fresh. We had the Bacon in A Glass, Peppadews, Hanger Steak, and The Grilled Chicken Skewers....DELICIOUS!!! The vibe and ambiance inside and outside was chill (my kind of place to go). Great customer service. LEON'S is the perfect restaurant for a date, hang out with friends, or even by yourself if you wanted to. I will definitely be returning soon!
Had lunch here for the first time but it will not be the last. This location is in downtown Decatur. Nice restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Leon's menu is limited but the food very good. Their burger and chicken sandwich is delicious. The fries come seasoned with your choice of 2 housemade sauces. Try the garlic aioli and jalapeño mayonnaise, good stuff. Our server Kat did an excellent job. 5 stars for sure.
Best chicken sandwich I've tasted! Nice ambiance with well versed serving staff. Only drawback is limited menu. However, it was a really nice experience.
The food is good, but service was a tad bit slow. We had the Pappadews for an appetizer (pictured) and they were delicious. We also had the Hanger steak and burger. The steak was good but I ordered medium and it was more medium rare. Overall its a quaint place with a nice vibe and good food. Those small things are why I gave only 4 stars. Definitely try it!
Hubby and I came here since he was eyeing this spot for a while and we wanted to grab dinner at a new spot. Located in the heart of Decatur, the spot is super cute with the option of seating inside or outdoor which they have a nice patio! We ordered some of their speciality cocktails that were surprisingly delicious! Crafted beautifully. Beware, the menu isn’t vast but it’s punchy with some quality items. We got the bacon and peanut butter as an appetizer which ended up being super tasty. Our entrees, we got the steak frites that we smashed. The horseradish on the fries were a bit strong for my liking but nonetheless, good. The highlight of this dinner was the dessert. The strawberry crumble, wow wow wow. Soooooooo good! This spot does have brunch so we’re definitely coming back to check it out!
This place was awesome. There aren't a lot of menu items and everything my friend and I had was absolutely divine so they must perfect each recipe and item. The flavors of our food was amazing.
This is a fantastic place to have a nice dinner with plenty of options for all. It’s nice to come have a drink and chat or a full meal. Get the chickpeas and cherries side dish.
