This place is just fantastic! The food is so delicious and every bite was a great surprise. Worth the drive from Nashville or Franklin just down the road about an hour and a half. Service was right on the money. Ambiance is very comfortable and the music is low cool jazz perfect for digestion. We will be back, hopefully with more friends. 5 stars from me.
This is my favorite place!! From the best prime rib to spitfire shrimp and stuffed mushroom caps..... And a dozen raw on Fridays, the food is fabulous. Hats off to Christy Wheat and her amazing staff including executive chef Josh Moore and sous chef Winston Clements, this is THE PLACE!!
Awesome place for a fantastic dinner or just enjoy drinks and appetizers with your pooch on the patio. Warm, friendly and welcoming owners and staff. A must-visit if you're traveling through North Alabama.
My wife and I enjoyed my birthday dinner last night. My wife had the Crystal and I had the special blackened amberjack over spicy shrimp jambalaya served with fried pickled okra. Our server Jennifer took real good care of us! We will be back.
We were in tonight... As a vegetarian from Australia, I only eat meat maybe once every couple of years... (When my body is really craving it)
They had New Zealand Lamb on the menu, so I went for it. Absolutely delicious.

We had the best dinner there last night!! The food was grand, server precious and eager to please our group... And the chef went above and beyond with special orders a on a hectic night!
Another great meal at Simp McGhee's. We had our favorite meal, fish of the day pontchartrain, last night was amberjack. Chef Moore does a great job cooking that dish and the mushroom caps were awesome. Christie's staff are always friendly and courteous.
Best dining experience in Decatur hands down!! Great food, great atmosphere and quality top notch service. Been going for years and never ever had a bad experience. A definite must if you choose to dine out in Decatur!!!

Service was very attentive. Food was very good. Staff is aware of celiac disease and gluten-free safety and practices. Gluten-free pizza appetizer was so good. My non-celiac friend loved it as well. Said he couldn't tell that it was gluten-free.
Cajun food is amazing. It says upscale but you don’t have to dress fancy. Reasonable prices and the quality and taste is worth every dollar!
I had the grilled shrimp with andouille grits and Tasso gravy. It was great. My husband had the grilled redfish with seasonal vegetables. He said his was good, but the food was only lukewarm. Both meals came with a generous sized salads. The service was fast and friendly.
