Like many people, I’m a huge loyal Starbucks fan. Since my son was 6 years old, we would have “Starbucks Saturday” where I would dedicate 1 hour to him, to talk about anything he wanted over my Grande Red Eye and a Starbucks apple juice. He’s 21 now. 🤗. And for the last 12 years I’ve worked remotely at various Starbucks locations so it’s like “home” to me.
I’m writing this review because like I said, I’ve worked at many locations throughout the Chicago/suburban area, and I have to say that the Starbucks Deerfield location (Deerfield and Waukegan Rd) is hands down the BEST - best in service, best in atmosphere, best in food (always in stock) and the cleanest (which is a huge thing given not all locations are clean or have clean bathrooms).
I attribute this all to the manager, Mylen (spelling?) who hires the best people and I can tell, runs a well managed store. Being new in the area, they knew my name and my regular order by week 2. It’s a family atmosphere where the community who come here, are friendly and the staff are professional.
One day I told the manager “I have to tell you this is the best Starbucks location I’ve ever been to…” and he said “thank you. I’ll share your feedback with the team”. That response explained it - great management, great team.
If you’re ever in downtown Deerfield and have a few min to sit down for coffee… come here…. and just take it all in. 🤣. Great friendly atmosphere !
As far as Starbucks goes average looking location but the baristas here are very nice and quick!! Come every week and have never messed up an order once and is always ready in under 5 minutes!!

Literally so kind. I accidentally placed my breakfast order at the store further down the street and I had to go open at my job, so I wouldn’t have enough time to grab my food further away. I figured it was going to just be a lost breakfast on my part but the employee made my day by filling my order here even though it was completely my mistake. Thank you so much, I’m running on 2 hours of sleep and i really needed to eat. You were beyond kind in helping me out.
Overpriced food and drink, but everyone flocks here to get it.
Never in my life have we gotten our order in less than 5 minutes. We had 4 drinks prepped and ready in 4 minutes. Wow, and they were all done right! I've been to other Starbucks in Austin Texas, Harlingen Texas, San Antonio Texas, Pensacola Florida, Baltimore Maryland and this location is the best! Everywhere else took a lifetime for Pike Place only.
I've edited my review since first posting it. I frequent this Starbucks a couple of times a week. The barristas are great. I usually do mobile orders and my mobile order is waiting stacked nicely on a shelf. Despite being so busy they always greet everyone with a nice smile.
We come here almost everyday. Excellent service! Everyone here always remembers our order. I’ll only go to the Starbucks. Amazing staff!
For whatever reason, one of the best Starbucks around. Drinks are (almost) always right. Staff is warm and helpful, comfortable to sit and eat or work. Not as walk-in busy, but drive through is perpetually a line.
All Starbucks are NOT created/staffed equally! Choose this location. Your drink will be awesome.
Great place to work. So, I took a huge paycut to settle down at a place where everyday, I live for and love coming to work. The people are really fun to work with and the customers are among the most pleasant and make the day quite a breeze. The work is not the easiest at first but making it thru the day is worth it when you see those beautiful people coming in and out. Yes you will always find one or two who are not pleasant but the 99.9 who are making my far travel which costs me $200 monthly a little less painful to my heart. I hope that anyone who reads this truly can take
The time to share any positive feedback for our managers and team leaders. They all have a great amount of love and appreciation for you and that is just from my observation.
My favorite place. I especially love when they recognize me and remember that my kid doesn't want the strawberry syrup at the bottom of this frappucino. Professional and Friendly staff. Most of the time.....
Usually service is good, plenty of spaces to sit. 4 stars because the last time I went, the mobile order I put in wasn't prepared until 5-10 minutes past the time it should have been.
The staff is super friendly. Sara is my absolute favorite.. she's so welcoming and helpful. This is my favorite Starbucks location.
