A buddy of mine has been raving about Komodo Loco for several months, so when I had the opportunity, I had to see first hand what the fuss was about. It is off the beaten path, near Downtown Denton, off Hickory, on Oakland, which is a seldom traveled side street. The place looks like it is a 100 year old brick building that has an interior reminiscent of the best restaurants in New York City or Chicago, definitely not Denton. Very chic, yet very comfortable. Gabi our waitress was off the charts stellar. We started with shishito peppers that were pan blistered with sesame seeds and served with soy sauce and lemon, Wow! We followed with chicken skinz which are fried chicken skins served with wasabi micro greens, green onions, sesame Thai, and Korean barbecue sauce. Incredible! My friend had a bayou tower, which consisted of raw spicy tuna, avocado, serrano peppers, fried crawfish tails, creamy wasabi, eel sauce and cilantro. He said it was beyond fabulous. I had the fuego rojo roll. It consisted of spicy raw tuna, fresh jalapeno, ebi shrimp, habanero tobiko, strawberry, and sesame Thai sauce. The quality of food is beyond belief, the service is on point, the decor is cutting edge, and the prices are moderate. Dinner was one incredible taste after another. This is fusion cuisine beyond expectations. There is nothing in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex that holds a candle to Komodo Loco. Put this place on your Bucket List and you will return time and time again. On a scale of one to ten, I give this place a seventy five.
Komodo Loco is the best! If you’re a foodie this place will have you’re tastebuds exploding! From the out of the norm delicious appetizers to the amazing Asian Fusion menu that includes out of this world Ramen! To top it off the Bar is full of exotic shots, cocktails and beers. Always a blast at this place!
Great service and excellent food! I had salmon hand rolls and a sweet Thai rice bowl with a Kirin Itchiban. Prices are low compared to other places and food tastes great. One thing tho it is an interesting fusion of food. I found myself eating fried tatortots covered in porkbelly and queso with my sushi. Is that traditional? Probably not, but damn was it delicious.
Although nearly everything on the menu was spicy, our waitress Ifrah helped me pick items that either weren’t spicy or I could omit the spice. EVERYTHING we ate was bursting with flavor and wonderful. Ifrah was amazing and knew the menu inside and out. I’ll definitely be back.
Great food, low-key cool denton vibe, great service! We had the loco egg roll (chorizo!), tempura shrimp (perfect), Loco dragon roll (amazing!!!) and the ramen-- yum! Extensive sake list. I'm usually a nigiri girl, but our server helped me select something different to try. We will definitely be back!
First time we have eaten there, and definitely won’t be the last. The food was great, along with the service. Highly recommend it to everyone.
We don't go out to eat very often in Denton. When we do it's komodo loco. The fish is very fresh and high quality. This place is not for a quick bite, service and food take time. That being said, it is worth every moment waiting. Try the yellowtail tartar with a quail egg, the gyoza, or the crispy duck wings. Yuuummmmm
This place is phenomenal!! Such a fun and different menu. Asian cuisines meets a Hispanic flare. Everything is great!! The owner is so nice and really made sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend
This was our first time in and even though they were very busy we didn't have to wait too long for a table. We got our food quickly and our waitress was amazing. Food was delicious! Highly recommend it!

Love it! The food is delicious, the atmosphere & drinks are awesome. I try something new each time, while still sticking to my favorite appetizers and I’m never disappointed! Our favorite go to place.
The entire family loves this place. There is something for everyone. Great drinks, great food and a great atmosphere. The owners are super cool and mingle with the patrons. It's our go to place now.

This place is amazing. From the signature drinks, to the ramen and sushi rolls. The staff is great and the atmosphere is unique and pleasant. Really was surprised by how amazing the fajita roll was. Very unique and tasty. However the pulled pork tatchos, (tator tot nachos) stole the show. We added kimchi to our order and it really hit the spot. We will deff. be going back and most likely will be on a Monday since the bottles of sake are half price.

We couldn't decide on one thing so we ordered a little of everything. It was all so delicious and very reasonably priced. The service was excellent.
This place has a amazing. I appreciate the social distanced seating. My Horatio Bayou roll was insanely delicious and the Miso ramen was top notch! Our server Kobie was super attentive, kind, and checked on us frequently to make sure we didn't need anything. Will be back soon!

Delicious sushi and fusion food. They were extremely accommodating to my dietary needs, which was so very helpful and made for a great evening out. We had a lot of starters to give things a try and they were so great. A chic, cool vibe in the heart of Denton, check Komodo Loco out!

I just had this place and I will definitely be coming here again! I was a bit apprehensive of the thought of the food having both Latin and asian influences but this place truly makes it amazing! The food is delicious and it's definitely not like anything I've had before! I was wanting something new and delicious and Komodo loco delivered!
Rolls are fantastic, even the mushroom appetizer! Music can be odd - everything else is well worth 5 stars. Denton gem!
