We discovered this place during our weekend visit to Denver. We were pleasantly surprised that Denver has a rich vegan/vegetarian eateries. Watercourse is one of the oldest. It has traditional food items with vegan twist. We ordered beet salad and Cuban sandwich. The food was fresh and flavorful. There are plenty of tables both indoors and outdoors. The parking is street parking.

These tacos right here are the BEST tacos… you don’t understand the emphasis on best. It was an explosion of flavors in my mouth that took me to another level. Absolutely delicious. Actually mad at myself for not ordering another plate to take home. Restaurant is cute in and outdoor eating. Our waiter was nice but just came back twice, to be fair it was really busy so it’s understandable. Back to the tacos WOW. let me know forget the hibiscus lemonade 10/10.
Delicious!! We got the cauliflower, the brown butter gnocchi, and the mushroom cheesesteak sandwich. All were amazing. We went for late night happy hour and got $3 beers and they were great as well (and cold!). Pretty casual, maybe not date night but definitely for a low-key meal. Highly recommend this place!
Came to watercoursr on my first trip to Denver. For the 4 days that we were there we went to watercourse every single day. Everything was delicious with 1 exception-The one not so great dish was the pancake souffle. It was a tad dry & should've come with more jam and maybe some whipped cream. Every other dish we had was exceptional- the country fried steak was the #1 dish. Perfectly breaded and seasoned and large portion. The mac n cheese was very creamy and very coconutty- if you're not a fan of coconut cheese then I wouldnt recommend it. Empanadas were very good. The MILKSHAKES!! Can't forget the milkshakes. So simple but SO good! And the daily pastries- all delicious. So much variety, big portions and friendly staff is why I give this place 5 stars all around!
Watercourse is the best vegan restaurant in Denver and perhaps the best vegan food I have ever had. I am not vegan but enjoy several of the dishes as I have a friend who is medically forced vegan as animal and animal byproducts would literally kill her. But back to Watercourse. We both loved the food and the service. Anna was our server and was friendly and sweet. I got the Portobello "cheesesteak" and house salad with ginger maple vinegrette. The sandwich was melt in your mouth delicious and the salad was very generous (I poured it out on my plate after finishing the sandwich, and it was like a second meal). We loved the lunch portion cheese plate so much that we ordered a dinner portion to take back to our hotel for dinner. My friend got the fried cauliflower, which had the best coating and the beet salad. She liked the salad but said it could have used more dressing, so I gave her the rest of mine, which worked. Decore is neat, and I especially loved the Buffalo wall painting. There are gender neutral bathrooms but done right with floor length doors and walls. Really, only the sinks are shared space. Definitely stop in for a meal.
We sat outside so the kids could move a little more. The food & drinks were totally delish including a cupcake for dessert. We got a cocktail which was good. The prices were somewhat steep. We were approached by someone who wanted money which I guess can happen if your sitting outside.
This place is always on my list when I visit Denver and I am never disappointed. The menu has been paired down from my last visit, but what is there is quality. I got the sweet potato and carrot arancini, which were like little falafel balls of veggie goodness. It was different than most anything I have tried before, well worth it. The Mac and cheese was tasty as always, as were the blackened and buffalo seitan wings. The cherry limeade was a big surprise, super refreshing. Harley was great, upbeat, and very helpful.
This was such a lovely place for great food and drink. The cherry limeade was excellent, and the club sandwich was awesome. We also enjoyed a charcuterie board which was fantastic, best vegan cheese I've ever had. I highly recommend this place, even if you're an avid carnivore!
It was bustling when I went last night for dinner. I had to park on the street a few blocks away and walk over. I was greeted immediately and able to find a seat at the bar. The menu has a good variety of creative options. I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I am a foodie and like to try different dishes. So I ordered the SWEET POTATO + CARROT ARANCINI (GF, SF, crispy, cheesy sweet potato and carrot risotto balls with beluga lentils, shaved carrots, and arugula salad). It was delicious and filling! The portion was good for a reasonable price ($17). Service was quick; my food came out hot and fresh. They include a 7% service fee for the chefs, and then you can tip the server on top of that. I enjoyed my first experience here and will be back to try the rest of the menu!
My guy ordered a Mezcal cocktail off menu and I ordered the Rose Gin cocktail and it was perfect: tart and dry. We shared the Caesar Salad which was quite good. I had the sweet potato carrot arrincini over lentils and a bit of an arugula salad atop the platter. It was good not great. I REALLY like the arrincini but atop the lentils and with the arugula salad..it didn’t totally work. But still I ate every bite. So it was def good enough!!😂 my bf had the Cubano..he is def not vegan so the seitan as the protein didn’t do it for him. The fries were great..they’ve got to be at a vegan restaurant!! And give me all the vegan ranch!!! We sat outside and it was lovely and inside is super cool and buzzing.
I wanted to steal the pastry case and run it all looked so good, but I was tooooo full. It was over $100 for the meal, so it’s def a once in awhile place for us, but that included a 20% service fee, plus tip on top of that.
Love this place. Mondays are 2 for 1 margs, and they were actually surprisingly good. So naturally, we had a few. Food is always delicious here. The wings, cuban, and mushroom philly are unreal. Can't get enough.
Fabulous! I had the breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel with breakfast potatoes, which was very tasty. My husband has the classic cheese burger, which he devoured in record time, exclaiming, "This is really good!" My friend had the mushroom cheese steak and said it was also very good and he would definitely order it again. Our other friend has the wings and liked them very much.
We rarely have a vegan meal out when everyone loves their meal. The service was timely and friendly. I love it when servers are also in love with the items on the menu, don't you? We were there on a warm and sunny fall Sunday and sat outside on their picnic table. It was glorious.
The whole experience was superb and I highly recommend checking Watercourse Foods out! Sorry no pictures! Next time!
This is the best vegan restaurant in America in my opinion! Go check out the vegan deserts, they have tons to choose from! The drinks are amazing, and they recently updated their menu. Vegan charcuterie was probably my new favorite.
This is my absolute favorite restaurant. Every time I go I am blown away by the quality and quantity of the food. In addition to being vegan, my husband and I have dietary restrictions that the staff is always happy to accommodate.
I am so happy I came here. The atmosphere is cozy and really nice to hang out in. They have a QR code to get to the menu. Watercourse has really friendly staff, and the food came out really fast! I definitely recommend the Cuban sandwich which has the right amount of flavor and crunch. I like the extensive cocktail menu they have as well. They even have a specialty Mocktail list which is such a perk if someone doesn't drink or is trying to drink alcohol less!! I am definitely coming here again!!
