Loved this place! Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. The service was great, and the food was delicious! Right next to Union Station. I love the decorations in the restaurant. They have a lot of seating inside and out.
Oh, let me tell you about my recent experience, a swanky restaurant that took me on a culinary journey I won’t soon forget. From the moment I walked in, it was like stepping into a world of elegance and sophistication. The dimmed lights, soft music, and plush seating set the mood for an extraordinary evening.
Now, onto the food. The menu was a masterpiece, showcasing a fusion of flavors and ingredients that felt like a work of art.
The staff, oh my, they were attentive without being intrusive. Our server guided us through the wine pairing with genuine enthusiasm and knowledge.
Very elegant, very professional staff, and amazing dinner. I had a special list pasta with filet mignon and mushrooms over cream sauce. The meat was so tender. I would have to say it was in the top dive of specialty pastas I have ever had. I highly recommend and very worth the price. I will be going here when I am in Denver. Be careful, though. I didn't realize that charging for bread was a thing. Apparently, in many fine dining establishments, it is no longer complementary. I also recommend reservation. You can do that online through their website. We went earlier in the evening, 4:30pm, and it was a prefect time.
We visited Venice restaurant twice recently 5/9 & 6/9/23. We are very happy with the welcoming service & excellent quality of food served. I appreciate the smiling ladies at the front desks who are so polite & welcoming. The waitress & waiter are very pleasant & professional in their job. Three of the employees recognised us on our second nite.
Thank-you for the great food & service. I would certainly recommend this restaurant if you visit Denver. It is just directly opposite Union train station.
Keep smiling ladies!

2023-Sept, Monday night. We had a reservation for 730pm. We arrived in the area around 7 p.m.
Parking was very difficult, we went around blocks and blocks and were not able to find one metered parking space so we ended up with valet parking that cost $20 for 2 hours.
We were seated at around 720 p.m.
Nice ambiance however it was way too loud to have a quiet conversation.
Our waitress took our drink orders, and in a few minutes, she arrived with it.
We placed our appetizer order. And she gave us our bread which looked and tasted burnt & was hard like a rock (see photo). She never came back so we asked another staff to replace the bread which he did with no hesitation.
When our waitress came back she took our main orders. After a few minutes of taking our order, our appetizer arrived.
The calamari & zucchini were good.
We were finished with our appetizer for some time and our food hadn't come. She came back around 8:13 p.m. and told us that she had asked the manager why our food hadn't come. Two minutes after that, our main course arrived.
The Liguine con Frutti de Mare and Ravioli d Aragosta were delicious. We couldn't find our waitress so we had to ask another staff to get another glass of soda.
We ordered a Vulcano and Creme Brulee for desserts. Both were good too.
So as far as the food goes, they were delicious. Except for the bread-- unless it is freshly baked, it was hard.
As far as service goes, it can be improved.
The facility was too loud.
They don't validate parking.
2 meals, 1 appetizer, 1 soda, 1 Pineapple juice, 2 desserts, our total came to $130 with tip. Plus $20 for Valet parking.
Bon Appétit 😋
Absolutely delicious! Service was incredible. Food was outstanding. Must try the veal meatball appetizer. Our waitress was spot on, great recommendations. The owner, GM (Paco) and even the host checked in on us a few times- stand out service for that! You don’t usually see that. They made our “night out” for my bachelorette party absolutely memorable. Seriously though, the food.. some of the best Italian I’ve ever had.
The food was was excellent and the staff was amazing. I hate when I forget our server’s name but the girl from Argentina was amazing and Paco as well. It makes a huge difference when the staff is truly on point and excellent. I had the Osso Buco and the veal was so tender. My friend had the Rigatoni Salsiccia and I would definitely order that next time! It has some great spicy sausage which makes the sauce delicious! Everyone at our table voted the Rigatoni Salsiccia #1. Both dishes were amazing!
Nestled in the heart of Denver right by Union Station, Venice Ristorante & Wine Bar awaits to transport your palate to the romantic canals of Venice.
We arrived at the restaurant and were seated in the main dining room. The aesthetic was charming & intimate with murals of Venice, Italy on the walls, low lighting, & dark woods. The service at the restaurant was impeccable. From the moment we set foot inside, the Venice staff greeted us with beaming smiles and genuine warmth. Manager, Paco and our server, Luis provided an exceptional dining experience and expertly guided us through the menu. It was clear that they were well-versed in each dish and were genuinely passionate about sharing their knowledge. Their professionalism was matched by engaging demeanors that created an inviting and hospitable ambiance throughout the restaurant.
For cocktails I had the Italian Manhattan made with Sagamore 8yr Rye Whiskey, Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth, Cynar, & Angostura Bitters. The Manhattan was a sophisticated cocktail; with each sip, the warmth of the rye whiskey & vermouth washed over my palate.
The Veal Meatballs were made with garlic, eggs, gorgonzola, parmesan cheese, Arrabiata sauce, pancetta and grilled garlic bread. The Veal Meatballs were a comforting Italian dish - piping hot, incredibly tender & juicy.
The Insalata di Spinaci was made with baby spinach, walnuts, pears, cucumber, cheese crumbles, & raspberry vinaigrette. The salad was plated beautifully and looked like a crown. The cucumbers held everything together while the baby spinach and greens were adorned with nuts, cheese & dark vinaigrette.
Throughout the meal, the service maintained pristine standards. Each course was brought to the table with a well-timed grace, allowing us to savor the previous course while anticipating the next. Empty plates were promptly cleared, and utensils were replaced, ensuring a seamless progression from appetizers to main courses.
The Rigatoni con Salsiccia was made with short tube pasta tossed with Italian sausage, caramelized onions, button mushrooms, and marinara sauce, & finished with a touch of cream. This classic Italian dish was hearty, filling, & packed with great flavor. The al dente pasta was generously coated in creamy sauce and the sausage added spice. Paired with the Rigatoni, I had a Tuscan Blend - the Casanova di Neri Irrosso 2020. This red wine was full-bodied with a juicy cherry finish.
The Risotto ai Frutti di Mare was made with shrimp, mussels, clams, and saffron. The saffron turned the rice a beautiful gold while the seafood sat atop. The risotto was velvety and luxurious in texture and coated the tender shrimp, mussels, and clams with each bite. Paired with the Risotto, I had the Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio Valdadige. This dry white wine had an appealing flavor of golden apples.
The Rack of Lamb was served atop potatoes. The Rack of Lamb was gorgeous in presentation & taste - the meat was outrageously succulent.
The Sea Bass was served with artichoke hearts, fresh herbs & vegetables. The delicate taste of the sea bass paired well with the sharp, fresh taste from the marinated artichokes.
For dessert we had White Chocolate Mousse. The dessert was lovely & served in a martini glass. The mousse was light and airy & topped a tangy fruit layer of raspberry puree.
What a meal! Dining at Venice Ristorante was an experience that left us not only satisfied with the incredible food, but also so appreciative of the dedicated individuals who made the evening unforgettable.
Nice place for a high-quality Italian dining experience in Colorado. Worth a visit!
Top notch service, the food was delicious. The veal caprese was better than the marsala. The zucchini and calamari was super delicious. Best bite was the gnocchi and vodka sauce, like pillows of goodness. The creme brulee was a bit underwhelming, add some real vanilla bean but consistency and crust was spot on. Not pictured but MUST order meatball appetizer, we even ordered another round.
One of my favorite spots downtown. Their Gnocchi Vodka Burratta is to die for. Literally. Service is always great. Will forever return.
Venice is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in LoDo. Beautiful romantic atmosphere and they also have a nice patio facing the union station when the weather is nice. Their service is great. Food is also great. My favorite is Carpacio & polienta, polleto picatta. If you've never been here, I strongly recommend taking advantage of tapas happy hour to try out multiple dishes.
Beautiful establishment, great service, & phenomenal food made for a wonderful experience @ Venice last night.
Cherry on top of our cake was seeing Henry Winkler there 😊
Milagros was very attentive to our table, and she had great recommendations. Safe to say, we all enjoyed our meals.
First of all Christian was our server and he was AMAZING! He was super informative of the menu and a great person. Request him! For two, the FOOD!!! Your life would not be complete without the carpaccio & polenta for starters. The main dishes (vitello alla caprese and a special with broccoli and chicken and shell pasta) and were great as well. ALSO just had a small side of fettuccine —— THE BEST I’VE EVER HAD. I had a glass of rose and finished with an espresso martini which was divine (shoutout to the bartender who was super busy but it didn’t take long at all for my drink!). We truly enjoyed this experience and will be back again!!
My partner and I went here for our anniversary and now we are wondering what else we can celebrate and how often so we can return as often as possible! The food is divine, the service is incredible - after 7 anniversary dinners, this is easily our favorite! We ordered the pear salad and tortellini from the specials menu, and the gnocchi a la vodka from the main menu and it was *chefs kiss*! The flavors were perfection, the portions were hearty, and the prices were reasonable. Cannot recommend enough!
Service was great attentive and knowledgeable, got us to our table at our reservation time, recommendations were fabulous with an unbelievable wine selection. We valeted and our car was waiting and warm when we stepped outside. Just an amazing experience all around.
Managed to get a table off the street. Delicious food options, though they didnt have a vegan option on the menu, they kitchen staff made something for one of the party.
Wine list is very extensive and with a wine cellar visible in the middle of the bar, it certainly creates so visual wow factor..
Food was delicious and staff were very attentive
