Perfect neighborhood cocktail bar with amazing drinks and an awesome happy hour. Great vibes, no wait, and wait staff were awesome. Everything one could ask for and we'll definitely be back!
Love to hangout here and read, study. Good wifi, great drinks. Happy hour is excellent w/ $10 traditional cocktails, coffee is absolutely superb at all times of the day (in the evening they just don't have drip).
Everyone there really has a passion for making interesting and quality drinks. I had a specialty cocktail there like five months ago, went in this week and they were happy to do it again. And they build a reasonable tip into the bill, which I approve of. Always add an extra buck or two in there since I'm usually in during the happy hour.
Always delish.
Dined at this place with a guest who was in the mood for fried chicken. The restaurant is the end unit of a strip center that faces an alley or street , but Lou's faces Grant Street so it's fairly visible. Street parking was easy to find, but it might just have been the time I was there. There are both indoor and outdoor dining areas and I believe the outdoor area is shared with the bar next door which also shares an interior passage with Lou's. The indoor facility is small and has limited capacity with a couple of booths and a few tables. Upon entering we were greeted by the staff at the counter and after a couple of minutes we had made our decision and placed our order. We sat in one of the booths which was clean and did not have a greasy feel to it. Our order was out within 10 minutes and was very good. We had the Caesar salad which was very good. The greens and croutons were pretty fresh and the dressing had a good zing to it. My guest had the hot spicy chicken sandwich and I had the medium tenders and waffle fries. The chicken is available in 3 heat levels so the medium actually had a bit of a kick to it. My guest got the hot and it did have good heat to it without the use of too many spices. The waffle fries were a bit on the salty side for my preference, but still had good flavor. The entire meal was delicious and the service was very good. The portions were a pretty good size and the prices are fairly reasonable. The only drawback was the drink selection was pretty weak. If you're in the area then this place just might satisfy your hunger for some fried chicken.
My second day in Denver I crashed off of a big wave of energy kinda hard and rough into What I now know as Salita and Matt the bartender. I was beat up from the road and this man provided electricity in many forms in a space that can’t help but recharge your core drained systems from percolation to hydration, highly recommend the chorizo burrito and a spicy dash of something added to the coffee and relax, recharge and blast off from this literal cornerstone of Denver expression, culture, support, independence and reality. May we all thrive together.
Walked by last night and decided to go in. Nice craft cocktail bar with great service. Great place for a date and bday fancy drink. I will go back. Downfall is it is pricey. 4 specialty drinks with the automatically added 22% was $78. Did not have any food but the small bite menu looked good.
This place is awesome! Italian coffee shop with new American swing. The cocktail menu looks divine but it was 8 am! He was whipping up a Bloody Mary from scratch for someone else! Nice work Matt!
Salita opened in Feb 2023 and totally flew under my radar as it's in the old Lou's Italian building. The atmosphere is elegant and refined, and the service is welcoming and kind. I ordered the pour over coffee which was delicious. They also have wifi!
My hubby and I just went here today 4/2. What a great little place!!! Although we do miss Bones (hint hint) we love all of Bonanno Concept restaurants. And Salita did not disappoint. Matt was awesome! Addison came in just as we were finishing, he was great to talk to also:) Whether you are going there for coffee or after 5pm for a cocktail this place is cozy and perfect for a date day/night! Matt knows how to whip up some great concoctions! Oh and their breakfast burrito was awesome too! We are looking forward to those Mixology classes coming soon. Thanks Matt for the coffee drinks and the stories today! We will be back!
SO GOOD! Not only is this one of the best chicken sandwiches in Denver, but it’s also the quickest! I haven’t waited more than a couple minutes for my food and I’ve been there twice. Got an adult Capri sun from the cooler, be sure to check those out. I want to try spicy watermelon margarita next time, but this ginger apple bourbon one was soooo good. Love this place!
Searched for "small restaurants near Cap Hill" and this was one of the first results. I was dining with a child so, the chicken tenders menu items were appealing. Food exceeded my expectations. Friend chicken sandwiches with so much flavor & creativity. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich & brussel sprouts & was not disappointed at all. Excellent service & additional points for the ice cream selection; that was a surprise! Gratuity is added, but only up to 15%; you can add more, which I did. 😊
Great spot! Great cocktails and lots of high end options. If you don’t see it on the menu, ask! They’ll make it happen (or something close). Cute little spot for a pre or post dinner drink. Highly recommend!
Delicious chicken sandwich, hot sauce is smokin if you like heat! Good waffle fries as well, all served up in a trendy atmosphere with friendly service. Great for a lunch stop, check it out.
Cool place! Great food! The fried chicken is plump, juicy, not greasy and not too salty. Mac and cheese is great. It is not salty or over spiced, just plain good. Brussel sprouts are fabulous as is the slaw. The banana pudding is wonderful and the vanilla wafers crisp. Fresh and it's not too sweet.
Grant Street is closed so if you're driving you have to circle around the block. I squeezed by a 'road closed' sign on E 7th.
Sign says you have to be vaxxed but I wasn't questioned. I wore a mask the whole time. ( My food was 'togo.') (Verizon 5G here.) My food took a while to be prepared. Two guys behind counter and two customers already served at a table. I still gave it five stars but it may look like 4 1/2. I'll be back.
Sexy little cocktail spot. Well-thought-out drinks and eggcellent service. Do yourself a favor and pop in.
I had the Lou, medium, and a side of fried okra. Both delicious. Had to eat it in the car because of mandated no indoor dining. They are so nice and grateful for the business. I did not order ahead, but you can on their website, which is easy to navigate. I will go back soon and hopefully get that party for two, it's a good value even if it's only on the weekend (and Monday).
Hands down one of the best Nashville Hot chicken joints I've ever had the pleasure of eating at. The hot was intense but full of flavor and BIG portions. They even had King Cake for Fat Tuesday! A go-to in my trips to Denver from now on.
First off, we’ve had multiple really wonderful experiences here. Different anniversaries, just coming to hang out. Every single time our experience has been wonderful. We’ve really grieved the loss of the speakeasy St Ellie’s on Platte St and thought we’d never find our cocktail soulmate again. Salita has scratched that itch and we’ve been so grateful to come across skilled mixologists again. They can make you the most basic of espresso martini, but also make something on the fly like a Vieux Carre. Skilled and personable, a wonderful combination. We’re mostly familiar with Jake and have multiple really wonderful interactions with him. We always feel at home, well taken care of and everything is delicious. Fried chicken is good but these cocktails are excellent ;)
Salita is good. That simple. Great service, which comes from their green Russell heritage. Great menu, and a the only bar in the area with a top shelf cocktail menu. When it's worth the price, it's worth the price.
