This was an amazing place to have a nice quite dinner. Monica especially was a great server who had great recommendations and described each special in detail. I would recommend this place to any Italian food lover!!! Great job Nonna's!!!
Food is amazing! The crab cakes, the bread, everything is great! Staff is kind and quick. Highly recommend this place!
As always the food is excellent. Had a little issue wth the hostess but when advised the owner of issue, he listened and apologized. We will come back soon, it's a great place and owner really cares.
Excellent authentic italian food, the owner and staff are amazing. We'll definitely be going back. It's s hidden jewel in a strip mall.
I've been going there for about 13 years! The food is amazing, as well as the service 😎 You shoud def check it out, on the NE coner of Leetdale and Monaco....hidden gem, for sure!!
Great food and the owner is super nice! He seemed to know everyone in the place. Zucchini was delicious!
We enjoy coming here regularly- tasty food, specials, wine and live music.
While the food, location, and Winey Wednesdays are all important, Patty pulls as back. We feel like family.
Great food, great people and great music on weekends. Cann't go wrong.
Super nice owner and that love is in the food!!! Crispy zucchini appy was really yummy, GREAT minestrone soup, ravioli formaggio was delish and the chicken parm was cooked perfectly! Great sausage too. Will be back!!!!
Amazing food! Got the asparagus ravioli and chicken florentine, I highly recommend both!
Some of the best Italian food I've had in a long time! Highly recommend.
We had excellent food & wine!
We ordered from this restaurant for the first time. I Love lasagna… and the lasagna at Nonna’s was very good- hearty portion, great gravy (sauce) plenty of cheese, and meat. It definitely filled me up. It came with a nice side salad and thinly sliced garlic bread that was very tasty. If you are craving some great Italian food, I would highly recommend stopping in for a bite to eat at Nonna’s Chicago Bistro ..
Small quaint place that packs outbound flavors. I felt like I was back home in Chi-town in little Italy. Greeted and treated like we were family. We as a party shared each other's plates, that tells you the portions sizes. Every single dish was homemade, the pasta made my wife say this is how I want it to taste at home. The Italian beef was the largest beef I ever had and ranks in my top 3 beefs I ever had. The desert was phenomenal. I did not care if I was seen licking my plate. 😁 I can't wait to go back.
I tried to call and make reservations but didn't get an answer. We went anyway and Brian host/ manager was able to get us a booth anyway. I'm so glad he did. Food was nice and atmosphere was okay even before the live jazz band began. Which was not too loud and very enjoyable. I had purchased a Groupon which is what brought us there and it made the dinner extremely affordable. bread and marinara sauce to start, 2 entrees soup or salad and a soft drink, we had iced tea all for around $25. I myself had chicken Marsala and my partner had some sort of spicy sausage pasta, which really was not very spicy. Overall it was great atmosphere and okay food made very affordable with a Groupon.
This is the best Italian restaurant in Denver. Hands.Down.So.Bomb. The asparagus & artichoke ravioli is the best dish you will have in your entire life. The owner is awesome & very personal and the rest of the staff is delightful.
My husband found Nina’s on Groupon, and being from Chicago, bought it. Then we realized it was on the other side of town, so we sat on it for a couple of months.
Then we had an event sort of in the area so we went over after and boy am I glad we did.
Ninja’s has an old-school feel to it. It felt like somewhere I would have gone with my parents as a kid. My husband said it felt like Goodfellas could have been filmed there, so I’m not sure what that says about my childhood. Anyway.
If you buy the Groupon- and you should- be aware that you can’t order off the regular menu AND that you have to tell the host that you have a Groupon (we’d never had to do that before).
So, my Eggplant Parmigiana was delish- crispy, fluffy eggplant and my side salad exceeded expectations. My husband liked his lasagna and his minestrone. My 2 year announced part way through the dinner that he “was enjoying this restaurant “. High praise. Although we definitely didn’t need it, we split the Chocolate Lava Cake and it ended up being a strong choice. Also, bots if wine are half off on Wednesdays…so see you soon (on a Wednesday) Nonna’s!!
Our first time here was amazing! Food and service were both excellent. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!
My wife and I used to love coming here for date nights. We now live in Oregon but recently came back for work over a weekend. Nona’s was the highlight of the trip. The mushroom appetizer, lasagna and ravioli are as good if not better than we remember, and the Nona’s special coffee and tiramisu are as amazing as we had remembered. Wonderful staff, relaxing and welcoming ambiance, the best restaurant in Denver. We can’t wait to come back.
What a lovely dinner - the minestrone soup was full of delicious and varied vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection and it came out hot. There was plenty of it too. The bread was just as good, great combination of oil and cheese. I had the chicken florentine and it was quite good. Chicken was tender, sauce was good and just the right amount, lots of noodles. I got the toffee lava cake for dessert and that was my favorite of all. Oh my goodness it was so wonderful, definitely get it if you like cake, chocolate, or toffee.
Go early, around 5 or 5:30pm, or make a reservation, if you don't want to wait. They also do take out which is something I'd like to try. Staff was great, it was a nice relaxing evening with delicious food.
Great service, great food! We were welcomed by the gracious owner and made to feel right at home! I really enjoyed how they don't rush your meal. Time to talk and let the food settle makes it much more enjoyable. The madd pasta was a hit and the calamari was a wonderful starter. Fresh and delicious salad and bread. Taking dessert to go. Trying the limoncello cake! It looks divine!
Cozy neighborhood Italian! Homemade food and desserts! Great drink list! We had been curious about this Italian restaurant that we pass every day on Leetsdale. I have to say I was impressed. Portions were large which was good because although prices were reasonable, it wasn't inexpensive. We had 2 specials. Portobello ravioli topped with Ossobucco sauce and a chicken lemon dish. We also had crabcakes and the limoncello cake. All were amazing and delicious. We will go back for sure. Wednesday is a half off bottles of wine night! Service was pleasant, helpful and friendly. Thanks for a lovely night out!
