I loved this place from the minute I stepped inside. The ambiance is beautiful: exposed brick, huge chandeliers, lofty wood ceilings, tons of character and history. The fact that it's off the beaten path and sits right at the edge of the train tracks just adds to its cool vibe and uniqueness. Both times I've been, my friends and I got the flights of reserve wine and they were all excellent, especially the Malbec. Highly recommend the tuna tower, charcuterie board, and hummus. We went on a Friday and were pleasantly surprised with the crowd. Lots of really cool, friendly people, and the owners are great. The only thing that could make it better would be a night of live music. My new favorite spot!
Love this place, we bring our dog and hang out on the patio sipping delicious wine. What could be better?
Owners Chad and Marla are so lovely.
I've been waiting for a fun wine bar to open up in my neighborhood and this is more than I would have asked for.
Chandeliers, cozy seats, 2 patios, elevated food menu, a little train "ambience" - yes yes yes.
Heading there now to get a bottle of rose. Can't wait to hang out with our pups on the back patio!
My friend and I stumbled on this place and were so glad that we did! The wine, the bar staff, and the ambiance were on another level. Not only is this place unique for its location, but the owners and the staff really take pride in giving their guests a great experience. I cannot wait to come back!
This place is amazing, but the food.... no words cause you won’t want to stop eating!
Chef Sarah Machado will be one to watch out for Colorado!!!
Wow, and congratulations on Best New Bar. If you haven’t been in to try this food you are surely missing out. DO IT!!!
We recently held our wedding at Bigsby's, and the experience was exactly what we were looking for! The space is beautiful. The food and wine was fantastic. The service/staff was very friendly and professional... Their event coordinator, Cassie, was absolutely wonderful to work with - she was so accommodating to our needs, and was flexible with adjustments along the way. Highly recommend to anyone looking to host a event/party/wedding!
Ok you need to ask for Kassidy! She was the best server I have had in a long time! I was my daughter-in-laws birthday and Kassidy made it wonderful. The wine was get the location is quite with great parking. It is a must go! Love the reserve wines. Totally suggest paying a little bit more to try them.
Everything was soooo good, seriously, the margarita flatbread was juicy and flavorful, nice and filling it’s perfect for if you accidentally enjoy too much wine. With the truffle popcorn they don’t skimp on the truffle and the almonds in the olive and almonds are delicious. I asked the waitress how it’s so good and they soak it in house in a delicious marinade
My server taylor was friendly and courteous, Nicole the bartender made phenomenal drinks and answered all my questions. Another server Ashley was very friendly as well and brought dog treats out for the dogs that were in the patio! I highly recommend this place to anyone into wine or good food, if you’re in Denver you won’t be disappointed.
Oh and the patio is dog friends but they’re not allowed inside
Amazing service is the first terrific thing I need to mention about this place, Lauren was our server and took great care of us. We didn't even realize we went past closing hours, but instead of rushing us out, she let us enjoy our last cocktails and finish our stories. Just an absolute pleasure. And the ambience and food just made for a perfect night, would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will be going back!
This is such a vibe, the service was wonderful they are very helpful and tell you about the wine they have. The food was delicious, great serving portion. The atmosphere was so chill, there was a company team meeting there -great idea for employees to mingle. Parking is on the street or the parking garage right next door.
Service was great, space is beautiful, extensive wine list (lacking anything sweet though), only complaint is the food unfortunately. Plates are extremely small for mid-range pricing. Went here for a graduation celebration and some of our party left dinner still hungry. However, the meatballs and the green tea chocolate cake were phenomenal! More of a drinks & apps kind of place.
We recently had our wedding at Bigsby's and would highly recommend it as a venue! The space is beautiful - lots of exposed brick and beautiful lighting fixtures.
Cassie, the event coordinator, was so helpful from start to finish, meeting with us multiple times both in person and over the phone to help plan, set our menu, choose our signature cocktails, and create our timeline. The day-of staff were also amazing - we dropped our centerpieces and other décor items off earlier in the day, and they set everything up for us. The bartenders were lovely, and all our guests loved the food. Everything went so smoothly and that was due to the great team at Bigsby's!
My wife and I visited from out of town and we loved it. The wine selection was great and we found these cute little treats to bring home to our boy! Definitely would recommend to anyone!
We are so happy we decided to have our wedding reception at Bigsby's Folly. From the very start, the event coordinator was responsive, helpful, easy to work with, and made the planning process fun. She even let us drop off our flowers the night before to keep them cool. When we showed up the day of the party, the space was set up beautifully inside and out, it was absolutely perfect for our 80+ guests to mingle, dine and dance. The space felt festive and open, there was never a line at the bar. The appetizers were great, and the dinner was even better. Many of our guests continued to tell me for days how good the food was - no small feat to serve a buffet that is both fresh and delicious to that many people. The staff working our event were friendly, welcoming and made the night even more fun. We are so so grateful to Cassie and her team for pulling off an amazing party. Thank you!
Bigsby's is the perfect place for a wedding. We had around 100 guests and it was the perfect event space for us. Having the back patio to do the ceremony and the dancing and then the inside space for the reception is the perfect setup.
Cassie made the entire process a breeze. Having the venue handle everything including the food and beverages, as well as all of the extra equipment you really don't think about makes things so much simpler.
On top of that, the food was absolutely amazing. We've had many guests tell us it was the best food they've had at a wedding. The staff is also extremely friendly and helpful, we did not want for anything the entire day.
What a fantastic event venue with wonderful people working there. Our son's wedding celebration was perfect! The atmosphere, food and service were all excellent. The piece de resistance was 14 months after the ceremony, Kent texted me to say that a ring that I had lost the night of wedding celebration had been found. The fact that he remembered I had lost a very sentimental piece of jewelry (it was my mother's) and then went to work on finding me over a year later, speaks to the wonderful ownership and management. I can't say enough good things about the both experiences.... the wedding celebration and the thoughtful and kind follow up.
We used Bigsby's Folly for our wedding venue for both the ceremony and reception for 115 people. There are not enough words to express how pleased we were with the entire experience from beginning to end. The Venue Coordinator (Cassie) planned and organized with us for about a year. Meeting with us many different times, getting to know us and our vibe, and always making us feel special. She worked professionally and personally with us as well as wedding planner and other vendors which made the day effortless for us. She even worked with us on other details such as tables, chairs, and other details that required coordination outside of the venue. Above and beyond service doesn't even begin to describe it.
PICTURES LOOK INCREDIBLE HERE! The venue is a one-of-a-kind space that allowed us to bring our friends and family to our favorite neighborhood in Denver. And it offers a sort of timeless, historic vibe with just enough grit to make it it edgy. There are two outdoor spaces (we used the back patio for our ceremony) and a large indoor space for seating and then dancing. The venue is also within walking distance to two hotels which is where our guests stayed.
To this day, our friends and family keep mentioning how excellent the food was; and it really was. We choose to go the family style route with the short rib and salmon as the main course (they also offer dietary restrictive guests an option as well). In addition we had the carrots, broccolini, mushroom risotto, and a watermelon arugula salad. During cocktail hour we had various passed small bites out as well and finished the night off with mac and cheese for late night snacks. Literally every single dish and app that was served was fantastic. On top of that we also used them for our open bar and they kept the beverages flowing all night. The staff was extremely nice and on top of it all and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves as well.
I could go on-and-on about this place. If you are looking for a space to host your wedding or event, I would 1000% recommend having it here. In addition, if you're just looking for a place for brunch or dinner this is also an amazing spot to just enjoy your time. We look forward to coming back again soon!
I'm obsessed with the look of this place. So cozy and comfy for wine tasting! The food is also pretty good. I knocked off a star because we had some trouble with service. We were a party of five seated in a space that was set apart from the main room (maybe a private party space?). Our waitress forgot about us a few times and we had to keep getting up for our orders. There was a wedding in the back so I imagine there were just a few distractions. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of the visit.
Cauliflower breakfast flat bread is absolutely a must. I’m not even gluten free but wow it’s good! We got ours with sausage. The drinks are decent (they do not have espresso for martinis and even the “cold brew” listed on the menu is just a cold water French press according to the waiter...). Service was okay, and atmosphere was just perfect. Directions/signage to get to this place is difficult and could be improved significantly but maybe they want to remain low key? Overall 4/5
Can't give enough kudos to Cassie Sullivan and her team as well as an amazing chef for our corporate event. Seriously the best we've had in venue, service, quality of food, bar and wine. It was almost embarrassing with people thanking me for choosing Bigsby's!
We had a large event of approximately 200 attendees. Bigsby’s Folly was a wonderful venue. The atmosphere was great with a variety of seating spaces both indoors and out. Planning the event with Cassie Sullivan was smooth and she accommodated our every need. The food was outstandingly delicious and everyone on staff was friendly and expedient in their service. I highly recommend Bigsby’s Folly with five stars and two thumbs up! 👍👍
Stumbled here looking to kill some time before our flights and ended up having a great meal and a wine flight. Everything was wonderful including the service. Kinda weird to get to/park but other than that a very nice experience.
