I have a high cheesesteak standard and I'd heard wonderful reviews about the original Denver Ted's. So I went into my first DT experience with high expectations. I am very happy to say, even if my waistline will be paying a serious price over the next several months, that those expectations were met and exceeded. The staff was wonderful. Friendly, quick to serve, super helpful in parsing the menu. The bar was delightful, as was Jay behind the bar. And the food... the food was, and I mean this is the most complimentary of ways, all Philly. Not in the "booing Santa Claus" way, but in the "perfect roll, steak exactly as it should be, and the gooeyness of whiz" kind of way.
I imagine I would have a great time there even if I just sat at the bar and didn't get a sandwich. I'll probably never actually prove this because I can't imagine a scenario where I don't get a sandwich. But that's the kind of the place the New Denver Ted's is. Go, enjoy, get the meat sweats, swear you'll never eat that much again, and then later that day start making plans for your next visit.
The best cheesesteaks anywhere, with an incredible array of toppings choices, and easily multiple steps up in quality from any other cheesesteak place in Denver. They have other amazing sandwiches too. The Chicken Bacon BBQ & the Buffalo Chicken are both awesome!
Denver Teds is back baby! And it’s better than ever. Still the best cheesesteak in Denver. Get you some!
I honestly didn't even think I liked cheese steaks until I ate at Denver Ted's. I got my cheese steak full of jalapenos and banana peppers and was so happy I ordered two more to take home and eat later. Everything was perfect.
I don't know how I have not known about this place until last night. A must try! The bread that it comes on melts in your mouth (not in a soggy way). I will try and keep my new addiction to a once a week. Great price for the size as well!
I decided never to eat Philly cheese steak except in P A. Well I have now found a place comparable to those in Philly, PA.
I'm from South Jersey/Philly area born and raised, and I've tried every cheesesteak place in Denver, Boulder, and the Springs. This is literally as good as it gets. I crave this place more than I'd like to admit! It's amazing.
Best cheesesteaks in Denver, still pretty bummed you guys are moving but guess I'll have another reason to walk downtown. good luck at your new location
Denvers best cheesesteak. I will always recommended this place to anyone !
The classic hole-in-the-wall with awesome food. I have the pepper mushroom cheese steak on a pretty regular basis.
The only thing better than a business with a great product is a business with great staff. My wife and I ate at Denver Teds one morning and I left my wallet on the table. Didn't notice it gone until the next day after I drove home 300+ miles away. I called and spoke to the owner and sure enough, he said they found it and had it in the safe. He offered to mail it to me. I told him to take some cash out of it to pay for his time and shipping but he refused. Within a week he mailed my wallet and texted me the shipping info. When I got it, it still had the $200 cash that was in it and all the important documents I dreaded replacing. It's great to know there's still good, honest, hard working people out there. Food was delicious, service was top notch. Thanks again Denver Teds.
Some of best cheesesteak in town and awesome staff! Don't forget to try the ice cream sandwiches!!
The food was pretty standard. Good, but not mind blowing. The wait was over an hour and the food took another hour. They were short staffed for taste of CO. Our server was very nice and comped our drinks. I like other places for brunch better, but this is a good change of pace.
Out by the street, there's a good view of the coors field. When we went inside, we were seated right away. We had great coffee with delicious complimentary Blueberry bread and butter for breakfast. Mmm! And I had the breakfast burrito with reindeer sausage. Yum! Cool staff, fun atmosphere and great location. Will definitely go back for more, especially to try their lunch/dinner menu!
It's a Thursday and I'm having a bottomless mimosa, WHAAAAT? Great service, great food. I had the "your omelet" and it was delicious. Not a huge fan of the grits but I'm not usually a fan in general. The wheat toast is so thick and yummy and is paired with a delicious homemade jam.
PRO ADVICE: NO MATTER WHAT YOU ORDER ASK FOR A SIDE OF THE GREEN CHILI!
Chase was our server and he really made it a five star experience.
Pop's Place is an absolute MUST...for Newcomers and Colorado Natives alike. The atmosphere, staff and food are simply amazing. Although I live down south, this will undoubtedly be a regular Hot Spot on my culinary travels. Be sure to introduce yourself to the Owner Steve Kleinman - most affable and gracious to boot. Oh, and the Hot Wings are Killer!!

The only reason this place doesn't get a 5 star is because of the crazy long wait we had for 3 people. But the food was delicious! The staff was very friendly. And a very sweet man came and dropped off some delicious complimentary bread as soon as we sat down (everyone got this not just us because we waited for so long) so that was a nice touch. Pricing was very fair as well. Great spot for all to enjoy, and I will definitely go back!
Black Mussels were excellent as was the sous vide asparagus arugula salad! Wonderful flavor and the wait staff was exceptional. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu! Loved the atmosphere
Just had lunch at Pop's Place. Had the El Paso burger smothered in Chile Verde with a side of shaved root vegetable slaw. Excellent! Highly recommend the place and the chef is a good guy too! :-)
Only been here for breakfast, but I've heard lunch is good too(specifically the chicken sandwich). I had the chicken and waffles one time and an omelette the other. Wouldn't recommend the chicken and waffles since you only get a small piece of chicken and waffle comes with no butter or whipped cream
Had the chicken and waffles for breakfast this morning. Everything tasted very good and I felt priced right. I can't speak for the other meals of the day (yet), but I hope this place gets busy enough to last.
Stumbled upon this place on a walk this morning. The restaurant is comfortable and inviting. I was greeted by who I assume the chef on my arrival.
The biscuit gravy with chorizo was awesome
Great service. Fun atmosphere and a world class breakfast burrito. The coffee was also very good. I'll be back to try the brunch.
We tried Pops Place for the first time today and the experience was amazing. The place is full of positive ambiance, the staff was attentive and the food was fantastic! We will definitely visit Pops Place again.
One of the best dining experiences we've had. The staff and owner were beyond friendly and accomodating and the food was just as great.
Very friendly staff, the biscuit sandwich was amazing and the Denver omelette was out of this world. Great breakfast!
Great food and the chef was the nicest helped my little family out and gave us free breakfast the chicken and waffles were good
This place is very good and the service is excellent. We've came here for a vacation dinner. Easy 5/5.
Great service. The sourdough pancakes were the best pancakes I have ever had!
