As close to an artistic heaven as I've found in Denver. The cafe and courtyard are a visual delight. Everywhere I looked I found something pleasing to the eye. Even so, the place never felt too busy and there was a feeling of kindness and calmness about the place. The courtyard in the back of Zook's reminded me of the amazing courtyards you might see in Spain. The Cafe Americano was perfectly made by Dave. The cafe even has tiny cakes and scones for when you just want a little something with your coffee or tea. Just wonderful!

Best coffee shop in Denver. Yes really. The coffer is strong, tasty, and not overpriced. The owners are very nice and always say hi and remember my name. AND the Denver puppet theatre is next to it so you can check it out while you drink coffee. And if that that wasn't enough, the patio is awesome and has a huge fountain rivaled only by Casa Bonita.

I bring my kids to the puppet theater every summer. After the show we have lunch in the courtyard and then hang out in the coffee shop and play board games. Great coffee and treats. One of our favorite places to go.

Very welcoming coffee shop. Love the interior color scheme, great atmosphere, came here to get some work & use their wifi but also seems like a good spot to meet friends too. Guy who made my mocha was very friendly and I liked the music they played.

Friendly and welcoming owner. Great guitarist 1st Friday of every month makes for an even cozier spot for a coffee or ice cream cone :). We also brought our toddlers with us - puppet store next door is also fun!

Outstanding! The best decaf coffee anywhere. Food is fresh and inventive. Dave (Zook) is now also doing outside grilled specials. Wonderful quiet lush garden with fountain. And a puppet theater that's like a puppet museum. A Must In Denver. No

We live in the West Highlands/Berkeley area, and upon moving here in September, we found that most of the area coffee shops felt kind of unwelcoming and cold... Zook's was a pleasant surprise, and now our favorite haunt! Dave, who runs the coffee shop and Annie, who runs the puppet theatre next door (husband and wife) are an absolutely wonderful older couple who make you feel right at home from your first time in the place! Atmosphere is our favorite part, with a book collection, board games, and an array of mis-matched tables and chairs.. But! Let's talk about the coffee. Dave makes a mean espresso, and we highly recommend his white mocha. They also serve Vietnamese coffee if you've got a sweet tooth, and their tea menu is nearly unparalleled in this area (try the Morrocan Madness, a black tea generously mixed with mint leaves!). There's a modest menu of sandwiches, salads, and other snacks, and they also serve Little Man ice cream. On Saturday mornings starting at 10, they serve pancakes, which are delicious, and a big portion too. If you're one of those people who goes to a coffee shop to sit in a corner and not be bothered, this is not your place. If you go to meet people and feel at home while sipping some great coffee, Zook's is the best.

A delight of a neighborhood gem. Coffee, soda, pastries and a puppet theater! The courtyard is a marvelous escape from the bustle of the burb into a concealed magic space.
