Love the fact that they don't load the cheese enchiladas with onions. The atmosphere reminded me of being back home in Texas. Great service, and I would have given 5 stars if they served Chile con queso with tortilla chips, but I guess that is a Tex-Mex thing. Back for a second time, and tried their salsa. Best I have had in Colorado. 5 stars!

Decent Mexican food and a great happy hour. $1.50 draft Bud and Bud Light, $2 bottles Bud and Bud Light M-F 4 pm to 7 pm. Service was great, pricing is great. The only downside were the chips with the free chips and salsa, they tasted like they were out of a bag and they weren't great quality. Salsa was spicy though! Will go back.

I live in the condos across the street and found this place about 5 years ago when we moved in. As a Mexican, I can proudly say this place has the best Mexican food! There are usually only 1-2 servers in the place but they work their butts off for you. Be forewarned this place is kind of a hole in the wall but if you want genuine Mexican food made by genuine Mexicans this is the place for you. I hope they never remodel. Denver needs these kind of restaurants to survive. I always see loads of white people at the chain Mexican restaurant next door and shake my head. They've got the real thing next door. Their prices are so cheap and I am assuming that's why they can't remodel their bathrooms. LOL! Yeah, the bathrooms suck but it's a small price to pay for the genuine food they serve. Oh yeah, great salsa made in the restaurant! Yum!

I had the fish tacos, they we're good. I enjoyed the heat to the salsa they give with the chips, reminded me of the New Mexican food I'm familiar with. Service seems a little slow, but I was there during the lunch rush so it's understandable. I'll be going back!

I have been eating at Bella Vista for years. This family owned restaurant has always been one of my favorites. The staff is excellent. The food and drinks are really good. Very affordable. I highly recommend them.

Quick and easy Mex food. Green chile is unique but awesome. Not too spicy. Top dishes are the supreme combo and my new favorite the carnitas plate. Pretty consistent and a great fast lunch spot

Roommate took us to this little place. I was wanting real mexican food. I got it. Fantastic service, friendly and listened when I asked about things. I'm a spice wuss, and my boyfriend is a spice Marine. My food came out with just the right amount of spice for me, and his came with the right for him. Portions were great, drinks never were empty, and everything tasted fantastic. I got a bite of the boyfriend's tamale... heaven. Perfect flavors, fresh ingredients. And honestly, for less than we usually spend at Taco Bell trying to get full, we got better food and still got full! We're all going back any time we want mexican food. The menu, by the way, has so many good options that I couldn't decide what I really wanted to try. Now that we know it's this great, I can try something different each time we go. So even your picky eaters should find something to eat here!

Update 6/1/2020: Bella Vista has permanently closed. There is no justice in the world. Update 4/13,/2020: Hoping like crazy that Bella Visa makes it through the pandemic and opens again. Best Tex Mex in town. Update 1/4/2019: Devastated that Bella Vista has stopped serving dinner. One of our favorite places, too. Old Review: My partner and I have enjoyed Bella Vista at least 60 times in the last 15 years, and we can always count on tasty Tex Mex flavors. The menu is extensive, but if you ask them, they can rustle up something not on the menu, like the chorizo and bean burrito I asked for one night. The salsa is fresh and bright, feisty enough for me but not so much that my pantywaist partner can't enjoy it. Service during the dinner hour is inconsistent. Marcus is usually doing the job by himself, so we cut him some slack. Go to the register when you get your check. These days we usually just go stand by the register even before we get the check, and Marcus gets to us right away. Bella Vista is a little seedy and not for everyone, but we think It's the best Tex-Mex in town. There's a line out the door during the lunch hour, so others must agree. The price is right, too. Dinner for two with a couple bottles of Negra Modelo runs $30.

Stopped for lunch..Food was very fresh, staff was very nice, well worth the price! One of those good hole-in-the wall restaurants. I will definitely go again if I'm in town.

Reasonably priced. Authentic Mexican food. Delicious. The only thing I would change would be the tortilla chips. They are thick and I prefer thin chips. Will go back first chance I get.
