Basil Doc's Pizza & Bistro in Denver recently had the honor of serving me dinner, and I must say it was a beautiful experience that left my taste senses satisfied and my heart warm. This restaurant, which is tucked away in a charming area of the city, emanates a warm atmosphere with its rustic design and helpful personnel.
The extensive menu that seemed to have something for every taste was what first drew my eye. Although pizza is the bistro's specialty, a wide variety of salads, pastas, and sandwiches are also available, making it a great choice for groups with a variety of dietary choices.
I've heard about this place for years. I had some extra time so decided to drop by and try out one of their breakfast burritos. That burrito blew my socks off it was so good. I'm not going to make this place sound like it's the fountain of youth but it is a good place. it is worth going there and trying it out
Basil Doc’s is always my recommendation if you want a delicious breakfast burrito or biscuit sandwich. Their biscuits are made fresh everyday and they pack it with delicious ingredients-everything from bacon, egg and cheese to chorizo and green chili. Definitely want to try the pizza next!
I get biscuits on weekend morning and they are perfect. Their Ppizza and clazone in the evening are fantastic. One of the few places where I can get my favorites, pepperoni and goat cheese.
The 4 stars is for the service. Customer service was amazing. The pizza was a 3. Still good. The oatmeal raisin cookie we had while waiting was a 5 star.
Some of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had 😁
I've actually never had their pizza but I come here exclusively for their breakfast burritos. For 6 bucks and some change, you get a HUGE, freshly made burrito (by huge I mean bigger than Chipotle!). And it's served nice and hot. Probably the best overall burrito deal I'm town!
I have eaten Basil Docs pizza for many years, but in the last few years have found myself going in for breakfast. They make a pretty good and fairly priced made to order custom breakfast burrito that is filling and satisfying. If you are into higher end coffee and teas they do a nice job, again, reasonably priced. Definitely worth stopping in on the way to work or just because you don't want to cook.
Very yummy pizza. Tried regular and gluten free. The pepperoni is very, very good. The gluten free crust is soft and chewy. Would return for more!
excellent pizza, they followed the special instructions to a T! Some of the best pizza I have had in Denver
My favorite pizza in Denver, and the breakfast burritos are awesome. So grateful to have food this good in the neighborhood.
Had take away from here many times. And it's great pizza until you make your own from your sourdough starter, which is what we do now. Also be careful when you call, you may be calling the location that's not closest to you. This would be 3 stars but the owner does a lot for the bicycling community.
Pizza is awesome. A little pricey but they are big. A cheese pizza is a good price for quality, crisp, and size.
Breakfast biscuits are inexpensive and amazing! Gotta go with classic bacon, egg, cheese. Great biscuit!
I called in a pizza order after looking at their online menu. This is at the place on 3rd and Holly, Denver 80220. The margherita pizza online is $22 and I guessed the two additional toppings would be maybe $5.
The actual cost of the pie at the store was $34.59 (with tax). Come to find out the cost of the pizza is $4 more than it states on their online site (I was under by $1 on my guess for the 2 toppings being at $6). Why do businesses do this? Is it an intentional mislead or an oversight. When I complained to the cashier I was told he hears that a lot and said "I don't know why the owner doesn't change that."
REVISED: The menu I looked at was a tab on Google site not the menu on BD's site. Those prices are correct. Still a good pizza.
