Amazing!! I contacted Sarah via email 5 days before a Friday delivery and she easily made it happen. I asked for a simple “Joanna Gaines” ish white cake with a classy pumpkin theme. She nailed it. The cake was beautiful but also incredibly delicious. Soft airy cake, not dense. Frosting sweet but not too sweet. Not chalky at all.
Delivery was seamless to my office in centennial/Aurora.
we devoured this cake and there were no leftovers! Have a life long customer in me :)

I am a little confused. As far as I can see place is called Buttercream Bakery. Regardless they are a cute shop with fantastic baked goods. Yes they are a little high in price $4.75 for a cupcake. Other places in Denver that I enjoy going to for macarons sell these little tiny French cookies for $2.50 each. I came in to see if they had macarons. They do not. I left with a chocolate flourless cupcake with cream cheese frosting. To say I was leary is an understatement. I am so picky with cupcakes and frosting as I love to bake myself. The girl behind the counter was super friendly and knowledgeable. I was not going to try the cupcake immediately because I had to be somewhere. Alas I failed. I had to try it. The cupcake did not disappoint. The frosting is great. Not too sweet and not grainy like frosting can get. I could have done without the sprinkles maybe some chocolate drizzle instead. The cupcake itself was baked perfect. Now if you get the flourless chocolate cake you need to remember that this will have more of a brownie consistency. My biggest issue will be to change flavors every now and then. Why? Because I really like what I like. Maybe I will get 2 flavors next time and bring one to my husband too. That way I get to try both. Thank you for the great experience. NEW PRODUCT Sugar cookie with lemon butter cream and raspberry filling. So good!
We ordered a birthday cake from Buttercream and it was outstanding. Everyone was blown away by how good it was and how nice it looked. Sarah was very responsive and super easy to work with and helped put together an amazing marble cake with only 4 days notice. So glad I found Buttercream!
My girlfriend and I came in Valentines day! (About noon). The cupcakes we ordered were amazing. I will say this the lady behind the counter was engaging and very polite. The owners did a awesome job on hiring her! Thank you for the lovely experience and great treat!
I came across Buttercream Bakery via an online search - the reviews, variety of flavors and online gallery made my decision a no-brainer. I ordered a small round “cut cake” and several mini-cupcakes for my wedding. Sarah delivered and set them up for us. The display was absolutely perfect - the cakes were exactly what I had envisioned! Sarah was incredibly responsive and patient as we email back and forth about what I wanted. Sarah and her team are amazingly talented. The wedding cake cupcake is my all-time favorite with banana salted caramel being a close second. I can’t wait to order a cake for my 1-year anniversary. I cannot say enough good things about this bakery. I’m a Buttercream Bakery customer for life. Thanks for being amazing, Sarah & Team!
Buttercream Bakeshop did an excellent job accommodating my order of 4 dozen cake pops in a short amount of time. And they were delicious! This bakery was extremely easy to work with and the end product was great and was a great value.
This place is amazing in so many ways! I ordered cake pops for my daughters party and they were delicious. The flavors that are available for cupcakes are out of this world, the bread is so moist and great tasting. I personally recommend the vanilla bean cupcake, it is going to melt in your mouth!!
Literally Best. Cupcakes. Ever. I consider myself a cupcake connoisseur and this is hands down the best in Denver. I used to live nearby and would get cupcakes every time I could make an excuse for it (birthday? Here's a cupcake! You're pregnant? Time for a cupcake! Boss is a jerk? A cupcake will do you good!).
I've since moved and will still make the drive to this specific shop when I'm in need of a treat (candy is my favorite, but there are a lot of amazing flavors). Seriously. Best ever.
I LOVE BIG FAT CUPCAKE!!! I have been to many cupcake places and this is BY FAR my favorite. It became a regular stop in college. From the environment, to the cute pink colors, and the enthusiastic employees, I wouldn't pick a better cupcake bakery. The employees are always making conversation, getting to know us, and their cupcakes are absolutely delicious. I'm pretty sure I've tired every single one. Would most definitely recommend. I bring friends here every chance I get!
Where to begin? When you walk into the store you are not only welcomed by smiles but a homey feeling. The cupcakes are phenomenal and the display of them are so cute. The staff are super friendly and the story is amazing. I absolutely love coming here and taking a big bit out of that famous big fat cupcake!

I work downtown in the same building as Big Fat Cupcake. I have made it my personal mission to try every one of these delicious cupcakes. So far my fav is the Salty Caramel followed closely by the Boston Cream Pie and the Host-yes.
It is to my detriment that Big Fat Cupcake has a such a great product and friendly knowledgeable staff. (go ahead, ask them about any of the cupcakes. They can and will answer all your questions)
Will definitely have to increase work outs in order to full fill my mission this summer!
My boss bought a half dozen variety cupcakes from Big Fat Cupcake and they were so tasty! I couldn't eat a whole one, but sharing was the perfect amount. One was smothered in mini M&Ms and it was such a creative presentation and a wonderful surprise. Perfect for birthdays at the office!
Thank you BFC! I had a client at Children's Hospital Colorado who was having a hectic week. I called here since they were nearby the hospital and their menu looked delicious online. I was flexible on the delivery date and easily ordered two dozen cupcakes. The lovely woman helping me ironically is a patient and offered to deliver personally before her appointment on the following Monday (a day they don't normally deliver). My client was beyond excited with the cupcakes.

I bought cake pops for my daughter birthday and they are AMAZING. They are the perfect size, texture, flavor. I am in love with them. I highly recommend this bakery and will be buying from them again.
My roommate bought home two 4 packs of various flavors and by far my favorite is the Banana Creme cupcake we ate it in the middle of happy crying. The cookies and creme cupcake has an amazing crumb and the frosting tastes like childhood. I’m already preplanning ordering a special order cake of the banana. Yuuuuum!
Big Fat Cupcake is the cutest little cupcake shop in the Denver Area! I'm from out of town but this place is so good it's unforgettable. I love the way it's decorated too. Plus it's a clean, friendly environment for all ages.
Came in for cupcakes and ended up with ice cream too. What a great surprise. The ice cream serving was generous. Cupcakes were moist and the icing was delicious. Gal that helped was super nice and patient with the indecisive kids. Ordered an ice cream cake for the hubby's birthday. Can't wait to get it home!
What a great cupcake shop! I haven't had a cupcake here that I didn't enjoy and the staff is so friendly. I think the lemon cupcake is my favorite but there are many close seconds. There are always so many choices each time I come in. You can't beat the fresh cupcake smell of this place either.
