Excellent authentic Italian dinner and wine selections. The service was wonderful. The atmosphere was casual, warm and a little loud, there isn’t a place to wait for your table except in the doorway. Everything we had was delightful and felt like we were dining in a trattoria in northern Italy.

I came here with my family for a celebration last night. Very good food. It’s a small place which makes the atmosphere very cozy but not in a uncomfortable ( sitting on top of other guests) kind of way. My only ( very subjective) critique is that I think the Panna Cotta has too much gelatin in it. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to come back.

This was our first time here and it was a good experience! If you make reservations, though, make sure to show up a few minutes before or right at your reservation time slot because of how busy they get. If you show up too early, like we did, you may not be able to get seated. We showed up about 25 minutes prior to our reservation time, hoping we might get lucky and get seated early, but ended up having to go wait in our car until it was closer to our reserved time. There is metered parking on the streets, so be prepared for that too. Atmosphere was nice. This is not a big restaurant, so be prepared for close quarters when you get seated. I recommend making reservations for a high table or sit at the bar, if possible. The table we got sat at was right by the front door and in front of the fireplace, unfortunately. It ended up working out for us, though, since it was later in the evening. However, I can see that table being a bit inconvenient for some because of its close proximity to the front door. There isn't anywhere for people who walk in to stand except right next to that table. Service was also good, Leonardo took care of us. Don't be afraid to ask questions about things, though. Otherwise, it may just be assumed you know what you're doing whether you do or not. I ordered the Taglierini Al Cinghiale Tossed in Parmigiano (braised wild boar ragu), which was very good, and I highly recommend this, especially if you like the traditional bolgnese pasta dishes! He ordered the Garganelli Al Ragu D'Agnello (garganelli pasta with lamb), which he said was also very good! Leonardo recommended both of these, and I was happy he did! I was very satisfied with mine! For dessert, we ordered the Creme Brulee and the Tiramisu. The Tiramisu was better because the Creme Brulee had too much custard and the caramelized sugar topping was a little burnt, so it had a weird flavor. Overall, we had a great first visit! The only gripe I have is that I wish the serving sizes were larger based on the prices. I also wish the bread basket was included, they do charge for this, so be prepared. I would recommend this place to someone who hasn't been here so they can experience it because our first visit went well!

If you love Italian food and cheese, this is the place for you. We absolutely loved every dish. The only downside is they charge you for bread which is basically included in every other Italian restaurant. Still I’d go back because food is really good.

This authentic Italian restaurant always impresses… Lo Stella Ristorante stands as one of my favorite restaurants in Colorado; they offer the most authentic Italian cuisine & their recipes have been passed down for generations. One of their newer features is the Pasta Dalla Forma where their freshly cooked pasta is finished in a large cheese wheel before being served (note this is done in the kitchen, but patrons can observe their pasta being tossed through the kitchen window). We arrived at Lo Stella and were seated at the front of the restaurant, next to the main bay window. Lo Stella's aesthetic is classic Italian - intimate & relaxed with natural shades of oak & mahogany throughout the space. Restaurant staff - Iris, Luca & Leo - led us through our meal. All of them were so amazing and knowledgeable on the menu (Lo Stella’s staff is known for making customers feel like family). Owner, Alessandro was inhouse and was incredible (per usual). It was a busy Friday night, and he was active on the restaurant floor ensuring every customer and every member of his staff had what they needed. Alessandro started us off with prosecco - salute! For cocktails, Ashley and I had the Italian Cosmo made with vodka, grand marnier, cranberry juice, & lime. The Cosmos were delightfully refreshing & sweet with balancing sour from the lime. For Antipasta we had the Caprese Di Bufala Campana Dop and the Prosciutto Di Parma E Burrata Pugliese. The Caprese featured mozzarella that was bright & creamy. The taste of the cheese was cut by the acidity of the juicy tomatoes & aromatic basil. The prosciutto appetizer combined creamy burrata & delicately salty prosciutto that everyone loved. The Spaghetti Cacio E Pepe was prepared ‘Pasta Dalla Forma’ in the cheese wheel and was made with butter, toasted peppercorn, and pecorino romano. Sharp and salty with a bit of spice from the freshly cracked pepper, this pasta celebrated the flavors of the classic Roman dish. The spaghetti was beautifully textured from the pecorino cheese - so good. The Ravioli di Pesce in Crema di Gamberi is homemade Fish Ravioli with creamy shrimp sauce (a recipe that has been used since 1940). The Ravioli is my favorite dish at Lo Stella. The homemade raviolis delicately enveloped a lovely sea bass filling. The mild sea bass was a great match for the decadent shrimp sauce. When all the raviolis had been devoured, we used the shrimp sauce left on the plate for our bread. A must order! The filet was served with Italian raclette on top. The filet was cooked perfectly and the raclette made for a luxurious topping with epic cheese pulls. The Taglierini Verdi Al Funghi E Polpo was made with homemade spinach taglierini with octopus, mushrooms, & white wine. A beautiful veggie pasta enriched with a mix of earthy mushrooms & tender octopus. For dessert we had Espresso Martinis - the perfect ending to a perfect meal.

We went to Lo Stella on a Friday, with an 8:30 reservation. It was incredibly busy, to the point that we got sat about 15 minutes late and at a kind of awkward table that didn't feel like it was supposed to be there. That however was out only complaint, the appetizers were absolutely delicious and perfectly sized, one of our party ordered and drink and had to wait about 15 minutes to receive it, at which point it was comped by our waiter. The mains were absolutely delicious, half of us got the Taglierini Verdi ai fungi e polpo and the other half got the Taglierini al cighiale. Both dishes were absolutely perfect, the octopus was so tender and the boar ragu was melt in your mouth. The mains were also perfectly sized with all of our party finishing mains but not feeling overly full. Overall it was a great experience that suffered a little due to what felt like over booking, regardless we will be back, most likely on a quieter night.

Everything was absolutely delicious, fresh and flavorful. Cacio e Pepe was out of this world. Boar wagu was tasty as well. Tiramisu was a great night cap. Best Italian I’ve had in Denver! Definitely coming back here.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a few years now since they had my favorite pasta, but then found out they also had one of my favorite Italian red wines and dessert so now it’s my new favorite Italian restaurant in Denver. We had the Bresaola e Crescenza for our appetizer and it was amazing. The cheese was so creamy. I had the tagliatelle bolognese and my date had the cacio e pepe, which were both a good portion and very flavorful. We both had the panna cotta which is my go to and it was also amazing!

Great food, sat at the bar with Broncos playing pre season on the bar TVs. Numerous specials available, I’m glad I chose the scallops, tender with rich sauce. Then the ravioli. Amazing. Great menu, I wanted to try it all so I’ll be back soon. Eat at the bar or tables. Paid and free parking near the front door. Great service. Try it, you’ll like it.

What a lovely place to celebrate a friend's birthday! We laughed, we dined, our wait staff was lovely! The fish ravioli was amaaaaaaazing! I ate my leftovers cold, by the light of my fridge, when I got back home. Lemon tart left a lot to be desired bymut the tiramisi was divine!

Absolutely stellar experience at Lo Stella Ristorante! The prosciutto was exquisite, and the wild boar pasta was a mouthwatering delight. The service was top-notch, and the wine selection added the perfect touch to our meal. A must-visit for foodies! Don’t fight it. Just go. Now. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amazing! This was the best meal I've had in a long time. Braised wild boar, homemade noodles, and all tossed in a parmesan wheel. So so so good! Highly recommended.

Lo Stella is my go to restaurant anytime my husband and I crave real italian food. Fresh and healthy. The whole staff is so welcoming and friendly. You really feel like you are part of an italian family. We truly enjoy sitting by the kitchen and observing the chef preparing our fresh dishes. Last time we shared a bottle of Super Toscana and caprese salad as an appetizer followed by fish ravioli. Extremely delicate yet rich in flavor. My husband had the Spaghetti Nonno Puppo. Very simple but so scrumptious. We didn't have room for dessert but we got to meet Luca the manager, who kindly offered us some grappa and chat with us about food, wine and the italian culture. Excellent !!

Beautiful restaurant. I devoured the Pasta Cacio e Pepe condita nella forma di Pecorino Romano. Bread and focaccia and the Caprese di Bufala Campana were fresh and delicious. The staff was amazing. We had Leonardo and he took great care of our large group. My husband and I will definitely be back.

Feels like family here. They run their operation very similar to how I grew up. Very personal not like a chain restaurant where the experience feels more robotic. Usually, I order one of their amazing pasta dishes, but this time I decided to keep it low carb. I decided upon their Fish of the day which was Mahi Mahi. It came to me grilled to perfection and I ordered it with the Tricolore salad. Nice to know I can come to one of my favorite Italian spots and still eat clean!
