I had a fantastic time at this place and would easily rate it 5/5! The coffee and food were both outstanding, and the atmosphere was just perfect. It's a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a great coffeehouse experience.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is its atmosphere. It’s a haven for those seeking a cozy and inviting ambiance to enjoy their coffee and meals. The decor, lighting, and overall vibe create a relaxing and enjoyable environment that makes you want to stay a little longer and savor every moment.
In addition to the great coffee and food, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which added to the overall positive experience. It’s clear that they take pride in what they do and go the extra mile to ensure guests have a memorable time.
Easily the best place in town.
As a friend visiting from out of town from Oakland, CA – Honey Hill Cafe is what I’d consider to be one of the best undiscovered spots in Denver. While not making it onto any of the “Best coffee shops in Denver” lists I stumbled upon – it surpasses much of what I saw online about other spots in terms of atmosphere. It provides a great coffee shop work environment and has the pastries, ice cream, and caffeinated beverages to boot. Top it off with an exceptional and friendly staff and I’d be happy if this place stays off the radar so it doesn’t get more crowded!
Vibes: Immaculate. All the plants have names, I got a new interior decorating idea from the bathroom, there’s plenty of seating (including a community table for groups & laptop people as well as a shaded outdoor patio), and there’s an adorable window with notes of positivity taped all over it. 🥹
Busyness: When I ordered at 8:15 am, there was no line at all. When I left at 9:30 am, there was a pretty significant line, maybe 7 groups long. Granted, it was a Saturday, so that may have factored in that.
Food: I got the Hippie breakfast sandwich, and, let me say, I was surprised by how spicy it was! I saw there was a chipotle mayo on it but for some reason thought it wouldn’t be very spicy. 🤦♀️ Whoops! I am not a huge spicy person, though, so for someone who likes buffalo sauce and takis, this might be for you. My friend got the avocado toast and loved it!!! Would recommend both dishes.
Drinks: I didn’t get any drinks, but my friend got a dirty chai and said it was very good. I wish they had more of a selection, it seemed like a place like this should have more coffee & tea options, just by pure vibes alone.
This spot was recommended to me multiple times as a newcomer to Denver. And it did not disappoint. Such a darling cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. I was late making it within lunch timing but the chia seed pudding and chai latte was clearly the right choice. Can’t wait to show others this place.
Such a great atmosphere with lots of light and indoor/outdoor seating. The food was delicious with very generous portions. We parked on the street nearby. Staff was super friendly.
This picture doesn't do it justice--the burrito bowl (and burrito itself) is fantastic. The green chile!! Even when there's a long line, the service is quick, and the staff is so kind. And, of course, the coffee is great--really balanced and flavorful. (Try the nitro cold brew if you haven't.) I wholeheartedly recommend!
Absolutely loved Honey Hill Cafe! I stayed in an Air Bnb very close by and had breakfast there several times. The Quinoa Bowl (minus egg to be vegan) was delicious and nutritious and the avocado toast was perfect. I enjoyed sitting both on the patio and inside, where it still feels very connected to the outdoors. The staff were all very sweet and the food came out quickly, even when they were super busy. Thank you!
I haven't been here in 6 years, it seems to have changed ownership and name. I liked the new space arrangement, looks more spacious inside. Plenty of seats inside and outside.
It was a busy time of day, so some of the service was slow (the sign said they were understaffed). So please be patient with your neighborhood coffee shop staff.
My hot chocolate came with a flower pattern on top and tasted delicious. The blueberry scone was gluten free and was very generous with blueberries.
Delightful neighborhood Cafe. Staff was cheerful and helpful. Got the breakfast burrito with chorizo and it was amazing! So big I could only eat half. Got a chocolate chip cookie for later too. Will be back!
I really like the vibes and they do have a lots of fun food options. Definitely a community watering hole which is amazing.
I did want to highlight two things that could be better
1. They defaulted to giving everyone paper cups, I saw tons of people at tables with togo cups instead of reusable cups and it breaks my heart
2. The quality of the espresso drinks wasn't very high. I do have high standards. The latte flavor was mild and they just poured over the milk rather than pouring it in and doing latte art
Also, please add some more vegan breakfast options <3
