The best hot & sour soup I've ever tasted. The rice is always delicious and never pasty. The chicken portion of the General Tsing Chicken is enough to fill even the most ravenous stomach. And the people there, George, James, & company, are just wonderful.

The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is personal. The owner, George, regularly walks around and chats with the guests and always has a sucker for the little kids. Their Crab Rangoon has a delicious green onion flavor to it and I just can't get enough of their fried rice. Definitely one of the best Chinese places in St. Louis!

Wow! Evie and I dropped in for some take out (needed some foodage before bowling) and were instantly impressed with the cashew chicken and egg roll. We will be back for more!

Really really good. The crab Rangoon are awesome. The pork lo mein gave me frissons... An entire family of six came in, while I was eating, and every one of them ordered Mongolian Beef. Sooo...I think I'm going to get that next time.

We have eaten here before but they have been closed due to remodeling. Let me tell you it was worth the wait! The food was outstanding! The soup was hot and flavorful, the fried rice was full of spices and tasted fresh. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, not to spicy but just enough heat. Our service was great, they kept apologizing for our wait but honestly it was not long for hot fresh food. She was very polite, attentive and we had everything we needed. Cant wait to go again!

I highly recommend the Chinese Tea at this place. They source their tea directly from China, and you can truly discern the quality compared to regular tea bags. While it might seem a bit pricey for an individual, it's the kind of tea experience that's worth the indulgence. Consider gathering your family for this delightful tea, as the shared experience makes the cost worthwhile. A must-try for tea enthusiasts!

I recently had an amazing dining experience at this Chinese restaurant. The ambiance was delightful, and the staff was incredibly attentive. The dishes were not only visually appealing but also bursting with authentic flavors. The attention to detail in each dish was impressive, and I appreciated the freshness of the ingredients. I highly recommend trying their black pepper chicken—it was a highlight of the meal. Overall, a fantastic place for anyone looking to savor delicious Chinese cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.

This Chinese restaurant is a culinary gem. The Mongolian Beef is a symphony of savory and sweet perfection, with tender slices of beef that melt in your mouth. The Pad Thai noodles are a flavor explosion, expertly balancing textures and tastes in a delightful dance of freshness. A must-visit for anyone craving an authentic and memorable Chinese dining experience.

I’ve been coming here ever since I was a teenager, my parent took me here very often and I’m also very fond of this place. I heard from a friend that this place had re-opened and was so excited to order some of my favorite dishes. They had me in stupor as they had completely renovated the entire place and it looked amazing. The staff were also very nice and attentive constantly asking if everything is alright with my meal. They did have a new owner though and they changed the menu and the recipe for some of dishes though. The Mongolian Beef had always been my favorite dish and was surprised when I got it with lot of white onion inside. I’ve always had it without any white onion inside so it came off as a surprise for me and mind you that I’m not very fond of white onion. Other than that everything else about it was perfect. The beef was tender and the sauce was just like the cherry on top for the dish. Overall I had a pretty good experience here after the re-opening but I would like them to get rid of the addition of white onion in the Mongolian Beef or maybe next time I’ll just ask for it without the white onion.

This was our first visit here since the restaurant was renovated. To our surprise, their food was surprisingly good. The restaurant is beautiful and the servers are very considerate even when they are busy.

The beef lo mein at this place was really enjoyable. The beef was tender, and the noodles had a good texture. The sauce that came with it added a nice savory flavor, and the vegetables provided a pleasant crunch. It was a satisfying and tasty dish overall.

I rarely see a Chinese food establishment with over 4 stars. This restaurant does and deserves it. The food was delicious, the service was attentive but not overly so and the atmosphere was fun. They were busy and we only saw two servers and the two owners, still nice service. We had the crab Rangoon, bean curd (tofu) vegetables and the fried rice. All delicious.

I visited Wan Fu Chinese Restaurant on Manchester Road in St. Louis for a Saturday night dinner with my family. We ordered vegetable Lo Mein and shrimp with garlic sauce. The vegetable lo mein were good with a variety of vegetables. The shrimp in garlic sauce was also good, but little on the sweeter side. They were somehat busy but the food came quickly. It seemed like many diners were locals who frequented the establishment, which is always a good sign. I recommend this restaurant.

Edited 12/12/23: Sadly, I had to change my review. The restaurant is under new ownership and there were many changes made (as would be expected). They did some nice renovations inside and the new staff is very nice and attentive. However, the menu has changed considerably (looks like a few old menu items were kept). So we tried several things to get a better idea of the changes overall. First, I thought it was a nice touch to offer fruit infused water pitchers on each table. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was not as impressive. Very, very, disappointing to find out that not only did the crab rangoon recipe change, but it changed so much they made them sweet now. It would have been nice if they at least offered a savory one as well since that was what the original one offered and was well known for. They did have a new addition of scallion pancakes that was good, but the other appetizers were what you would expect from any basic Chinese restaurant. For entrees, we tried the Black Pepper Chicken & Hibachi Chicken. The Black Pepper Chicken was good, but the Hibachi Chicken tasted like a mix of BBQ, teriyaki, and gravy. However, they do give you a lot of food with the Hibachi option (soup, salad, spring roll, edamame, & white or fried rice….fried rice was not good). Overall, the food was not bad, but it definitely was not what we had come to love and expect. Since we have to drive about 30 mins to get there, not sure if/how often we will be back since we have other Chinese takeouts near us with very similar food. Wow!! This food is AMAZING! If you like savory crab rangoon or have never tried crab rangoon, you MUST get an order (or 2). The entree portions are generous and the food came out very hot. I got a variation on the sesame chicken (ask for Yen Ching sesame chicken) that is not breaded and is absolutely mouthwatering. The restaurant has been short staffed (sadly like all businesses these days) so the owners are serving guests, bussing tables, and helping in the kitchen. This is now our favorite Chinese restaurant and we would recommend it to everyone!

Outstanding General Tsing chicken! I ate every bite. The Thai Shrimp Panang Curry was amazing too. Don't let this unassuming storefront fool you, this is Asian cuisine at its finest!!!

Our family came here on a Saturday night, and they were not busy which was surprising; as this place came highly recommended. The food was outstanding! The service was great! And the owner came out several times to say hi to our daughter and give her a few lollipops. A great family feel, and probably the best Chinese I’ve had outside of China town in S.F. My wife had the lo mein, I had Wan Fu vegetables, and stir fried rice. My in-laws had cashew chicken and sweet and sour chicken, both they loved. The crab Rangoon was crispy and tasty, and full of flavor! Will definitely be going back!

I have been coming to Wan Fu since it opened. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States. Wan Fu has become the gold standard for which all other Chinese restaurants are judged. Love the owners, the food, the service, everything. Highly recommend. Best egg rolls on the planet — and their combination fried rice and combination Mongolian are to die for! Make an effort to stop by this amazing restaurant— you won’t be disappointed!

Local restaurant with tasty Hong Kong style cuisine. The food arrived quickly, hot, and delicious! The staff were friendly and seemed to take pride in their dishes. We ordered the crab Rangoon, which was one of the better kinds we've had. We also got the General Tsing chicken and Chicken and Beef Hong Kong style. The first dish was lightly breaded and fried white meat chicken in a mild sweet and savory sauce. The second one had white meat chicken slices with vegetables in a creamy yet not fishy white sauce separated from the brown sauced savory beef and vegetables. Very good and decently priced, will visit again! Edit: Visited again in February, still great. Orange chicken was lightly fried white meat chunks with a non-spicy yet flavorful light orange sauce. Think more like a tempura instead of the standard super crispy boneless wing style. Potstickers were lightly fried with a thick tasty wrapper and minced meat filling.

Excellent service! Staff took active interest in each of our opinions of the food, really wanting to pinpoint good/bad as they will continue to tune in their dishes. Hot and Sour soup, Orange Chicken, Combination Lo Mein all excellent. Egg drop was just ok. Crab Rangoon beautiful presentation. Mongolian Beef was a bit salty, and Pad Thai bland. We will be back to try more dishes!
