As y'all can tell, I like me Some Del Taco. Most of the time it's just an average predictable and dependable source of protein. That's why I eat there so often. Every once in a while, not very often I get surprised. This Del Taco is currently off the scale for Del Taco and any fast food. I say currently because the reviews on the other app are poor with many customer complaints. First thing I noticed when walking into the dining area is the cleanliness. At first the ladies seemed kinda rude. After watching them work for a moment I realized the place was slammed and they were super busy. These ladies worked like a NASCAR pit crew. Elegant in motion silent and effective. It was pretty cool to watch. What they produced was amazing. This Del Taco is every bit as good or better than the original Del Taco in Barstow and for sure better than the one in Baker CA. Most people consider Barstow to be the best Del Taco and I agreed until eating here. I thought maybe this was a one off lucky shot by the restaurant. So I went back for breakfast the next day. Man there was so much cheese on my breakfast burrito I almost went back and paid extra. Again amazing food. So good after work I went back for dinner. I ordered some grilled chicken something burrito and I could actually taste seasoned grilled chicken in the burrito. This restaurant is a few miles north of the interstate 10 and yes the area is a little colorful with its local fare of alternative living. But if you want to eat at one of the best Del Taco ever the adventure is worth it
The employees and there are way more than seem necessary... But what do I know about secret restaurant stuff...lol. .. they are quiet except with each other. Some go out of there way to avoid talking to you. Language barrier I assume, but totally creepy anyway
The double del was fresh, hot, quality meat bread even stood out as tasty. Loved it. The crispybfish taco was delish.
But my cousin was there for the first time, and he said no cheese in his bean and cheese, and no one told or suggested sauces, so he figured he didn't have any. Have to take 1 star from that (would be only 1/2 star) but no option for it.
The soda machine in the lobby was down, but the staff was nice to fill the water cup as needed and refill soda (was +107°)
Lobby eas clean sucks. You have to get buzzed into the bathroom. Don't be in a rush!
I would suggest to have managers or shift leaders be assigned to taking orders and the registers specially on busy days like Tuesdays and Thursdays, having young adults on the registers and taking orders is a recipe for disaster as you get to the window and a mistake is make they have to call the manager to fix the issue. I often get the wrong order and I am asked to wait by the window or drive to one of the parking spaces to get my order.
Freshly painted both inside and outside the building giving it a very clean feeling
Decent service... Food could be a Lil better though.
