It was lunch time, and we hadn't had breakfast--and we were hungry. We didn't want any fancy, just some food--quick before we came unglued.
We had never been to this restaurants or any of its sisters. It did the job--fed us rather inexpensively.
We went inside the restaurant to order, and since no one else was inside (during Covid times) we ate inside.
I had a Chicken Tostada, and Flan. My partner had a Beef Taco with Guacamole. My tostada was OK, and flan was good.
Took the family for some takeout. Ordered a couple of the chille rellenos combo meals and a couple of wet carne asada burritos. The chille rellenos were delicious, better than most places in the coachella Valley. Hughe portions too. The cashier girl was great too, professional and welcoming.
Update: Keep coming back for more delicious food. Thank you crew at DHS.

I bought the California burrito with guacamole added to it. The burrito was delicious with an insane scale. The burrito might have been 2lbs.
The workers had positive attitude and were playing some great music that they all enjoyed. I enjoyed the music and the staff had positive vibes.
Like most places, they have good and bad days. Some time the food isn’t that great, other times it is delicious. From the sound of some reviews, people got it on a bad day, and never got to experience them on a good day. Nice folks that work there. Would recommend
Delicious food. Whenever I go back to visit I'm for sure stopping here. I would recommend the fish tacos or the carne asada fries.
The Castaneda's menu offers something for everyone, and the Desert Hot Springs location is very nice as fast-food places go, the ingredients are fresh, and the drive-through is convenient.
This is my favorite fast food restaurant because it has authentic flavors in a drive thru. I started dining in to ring the bell.
100% fire tonight. Got the Half order of chili verde nachos.... omg its so much and soooo good. Always worth the wait

Just moved here in the desert and wanted to try this Mexican food for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. The steak burrito was great and very tasty. The girl at the drive thru was very nice and the service was fast as well.
Salsa bar is awesome,clean, and free refills..

You might get your food fast but it definitely Taste Restaurant Style very delicious food very large portions one burrito lasts me three meals literally
