The portions are huge and the service is friendly. Such a great family owned restaurant. I'll be coming back again soon!
The Shop Cafe is a fantastic place that’s located in the Aqua Soleil Hotel! We had 3 different meals (B.L.T.A Sandwich, Fresco Garden Salad, and the Shop Omelet) and each meal was hot, fresh, and extremely delicious! Service was very friendly and professional and the restaurant is very clean and modern looking. They have a good size menu with great choices for breakfast/lunch/dinner along with some choices for a kids menu. I believe this place was listed on Google Reviews and Yelp as one of the top 15 places to eat in Desert Hot Springs, CA.
Great food , great place to eat, fun and friendly place good price.
Burger is 💯. Definitely trying some more items before I leave.

We had a wonderful experience. The shop was recommended by my brother. The atmosphere was a great feeling, very welcoming. There were 3 of us and we ordered The Big Boy, The Burger Life and The BLTA. The food was hot, BIG, and delicious! The fries were a golden color that just draws your hunger! Every bite was tasteful! My compliments to the CHEF!! Awesome! We will be back!
The Breakfast Burger is the BEST BURGER I've ever had!!! Premium meats, perfectly cooked egg and that sauce is something else. The Bloody Mary was on point. We really enjoyed the ambiance of The Shop Cafe and the friendly service. Thrilled to pieces we found this little gem in our travels.

We've stayed at the hotel next door every time we visit Desert Hot Springs, and have always looked forward to eating at The Shop Cafe!
After many meals had between 4-6 adults, we've never had a less than great meal. Breakfast, lunch or dinner; the food served here belongs in a restaurant that comes with valet parking.
I know that sounds out there, but here's why I say it.
Not only is the food fresh, super delicious, and not over-priced; the cooks there pay attention to the details of making a normal dish a great one.
For lunch, I ordered a hamburger. Took a bite, pulled off a piece of meat and told my wife; you HAVE to taste this beef! It was like I just bit into a Ribeye!
I ordered an omelette. Most places, beaten eggs, some meat, cheese and stuff on the inside = good omelette. The Shop Cafe, lightly whipped eggs, tons of fresh ingredients and cheddar cheese on the inside, with lightly browned, crisp parmesan cheese on the top and bottom of the omelette = incredible omelette.
The food looks and tastes like the chefs view the meal as a work of art, like it's being graded for some cooking show.
We'd eat here if in town and not staying at the hotel next door!
This place is a hidden gem! I got the half moon sandwich and it was amazing. Bigger than I expected and fresh fruit on the side. The waitress was so pleasant. Overall great experience and would love to go back again.
Fantastic Family Ran Cafe in Desert Hot Springs California. I've grown up in this town and I've been trying to stay local within my town and give the restaurants within the town a try and it is Fantastic at The Shop Cafe. It is open to the public, so you don't have to be a guest at the Aqua Soleil Hotel. Come on down and try it! Remember it is Family ran so HAVE PATIENCE With the folks working as they are short staffed. The food is Fantastic! And it's right within the town!
I was here not to long ago for dinner &very much enjoyed it and decided to go there with a friend for lunch.... and it was DELICIOUS!
We split the 'burger life' burger and we each ordered a salad.
The burger was soooo soooo tasty! Cooked perfectly, big thick pieces of delicious Bacon with the right amount of melted cheddar cheese. Yum!
They make their own pickles which have a unique, but very good taste. They also make their own salad dressings which are unique & tasty as well.
I forgot to ask if they make their own bread but I'll deff be back so I'll all them then!
