A few weeks ago, I started thinking about where I wanted to take my wife to dinner for our two year anniversary. I had never been to Roma before and had always wanted to go, as I absolutely love Italian food. I called and made reservations for a Tuesday evening, asked for a booth, and mentioned that it was our anniversary. I figured I would wait until we arrived to arrange any special requests as I wasn't sure how busy they would be.
When we arrived, we were greeted with what I would call an abundance of hospitality; our table wasn't quite ready, so we were invited to wait in the lounge while our table was prepared - to our pleasant surprise, we were each given a drink on the house.
It didn't take long for our booth to be ready, and when we were being led back to the dining area, we found that they had prepared one of their large corner booths for us; flowers and a candle on the table. Our server arrived not long after and announced the specials - and for the entire time we were there, she and the entire serving staff made us feel like we were the only ones there. We were brought complimentary flutes of champagne; there was very romantic jazz music playing over the speakers - and played "At Last" (our first dance song at our wedding) - at my request.
My wife and I both ordered the cioppino - it was absolutely amazing. We of course had salad and bread to go with our meal, and we had also ordered one of their appetizers. Every bite of food was wonderful and the atmosphere was also.
From the moment we walked in, Kristin and her staff made the entire night magical and romantic - they all went above and beyond to make our time there very special.
We are so grateful to the service we received; we will definitely be back.

Recently held a retirement party for a VIP with 70 guests and it was an excellent event. Thanks to great food, drink and then staff Kristin and Joe have. Highly recommend Roma for your special event or just a great meal or cocktail & apps night out.
We had happy hour at Sul Tempo before our dinner! Joe and Kristin have this place on point. Staff is wonderful and food is consistently yummy. Always our go to for a good time!
I’m from the Philadelphia area, and had dinner on Saturday at Roma for the first time. The food was very good — finally found real Italian food in southern Delaware, apart from what my sister makes at home in her own kitchen with ingredients schlepped from Philly. Our waitress, Bella, was lovely, and the service prompt and responsive. If you haven’t been, it’s worth the trip.
Madison was an Excellent bar tender and the ambiance was Smooth and Pleasant. And Kevin McCove was great as usual. The shrimp cocktail was delish and the Rustic Lemonade yum yum! Also I recommend the Lobster Ravioli had it there before Mmmm.
Our book club was in last night for our monthly discussion. In an unfortunate turn of events, two of our vehicles were smashed together by a motorist driving off the road and into the parking lot. First of all, thank God everyone was okay! (Driver of the vehicle left in an ambulance, but was walking around beforehand.) The owner and the team at Roma were extremely apologetic and helpful. They dealt with us running in and out, served us all our delicious meals, and even comped us each a glass of wine and our amazingly beautiful and delicious dessert sampler! I can't say enough about how well we were treated and how much patience everyone had with us! Special kudos to Joe, our server Jessica, and the awesome young man- forgive me for not remembering his name- who kept us comfortable and made us feel as at ease as we could, during the evening. We are all so thankful and appreciative!!!
My wife and I met friends from out of state for race weekend. We ordered appetizers, anti pasta and mushroom risotto. The risotto was absolutely amazing! I had the Veal Marcella so tender you could cut the veal with a fork. My wife had the Caesar salad, the best Caesar dressing I've ever tasted.
I think my wife and I have found our go to spot.
Oh yea btw the prices were great too.
I went for my birthday dinner at the Roma Italian restaurant in Dover de last week we had the best seafood dinner with wonderful salads the services couldn't have been any better they gave me a free dessert for my birthday it was a very nice experience.we will go back
Roma / Sul Tempo is the Best Italian restaurant and cocktail lounge in Delaware! Great menu, Terrific staff and Chef Joe and Kristen are top notch!
Services was amazing and the food was great. I can only think of a few places where attion to detail was so heighten. Worth the drive, we will be back.
The food was excellent and so was our waitress Ashley. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to friends.
Food was excellent. Staff was terrific. Warm welcome when we arrived. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Highly recommend.
This place was amazing the staff are on point and very nice and friendly. All of the food that me and my fiance had tried was an experience. It took you on a journey of flavor to the heavens I will be coming back and I hope everyone that reads this review gets a chance to eat at this place.
Straight design , romantic atmosphere , glass of wine and pleasant music. This is a major combination for the romantic date. And as a result it was fantistic one! And special thanks to waiters who cares about us)
Pasta and white vine. This is two things that definitelly should be on my table when I'm visiting Italian restraurant. Waiters are cool, answer on my question and help me to choose best dish what i like. The taste is magic, I've remember the time in Lazio, when I spend a time at the tables on a street with couple of vine. That was fantastic time. Thanks you for get me in the my past! (without masks and this COVID sh*t)))
I'm a 25 year native of the area and somehow, until now, I had not visited Roma. The setting inside is very nice and comfortable and the staff were very welcoming to us. We sat in the Sul Tempo lounge and started with a few well made drinks with bread and oil. The cheese board and ahi tuna starter were excellent and the entrees (Lobster Ravioli) were all fantastic! Compared to my experiences at other Italian restaurants this was a home run. Portion sizing was appropriate and we didn't feel like we were being under-served wduring our visit. Absolutely will visit again and recommend to others.
Our server Alex was great! Very attentive and knowledgeable. After we were done eating, Igor was quick to box up our leftovers and return them to our table as well as bring us the dessert menu. It really was a fantastic meal with great service.
Probably the best place to eat at in Dover. The food fresh and hot, Their drinks on point. You can't get better service anywhere you go. All happy and smiling faces working here, and working as a team.
Service and food were amazing. Never disappoints!!
