Dover Forge is a 5 Star establishment and one of my all time favorite places in the Mount Snow Area. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone I know back in New York, Long Island, Jersey, and Los Angeles. Anyone who vacations in the Dover /Wilmington area and or lives there. I gear this toward visitors, only because I doubt that theres anyone in the community that hasn’t been there and doesn’t already love it. Not only is it a beautiful restaurant with the sweetest staff you’ll ever meet, the food is second to none, with the freshest of ingredients that you can see both in taste and presentation, are cooked with love and attention to detail. Allen the manager greets his guests like family, which always makes a place extra special to me. You just don’t get that everywhere. He smiles from his heart and you can feel it. It seems the whole place has a whole lot of heart in it. The nightlife here is also amazing. The staff in the back bar are excellent and the bartenders in both the restaurant bar and the back bar are exceptional. They have open mic nights too in addition to live music which is excellent. The band that night was a beautiful girl with an amazing acoustic guitar player and singer male partner. They were awesome. I love this place
Dover Forge was the perfect place for our group of 23 to celebrate a birthday. We had a spacious private room that allowed for a rousing cocktail hour; the tables were set in a u shape where we could see and communicate easily; the waitresses were so nice and accommodating; and the food came in a timely fashion and was great! I recommend the smoked ribs! A fun,comfortable, rustic,informal atmosphere.
Such an amazing venue with amazing views, rustic charm, great decor with such amazing customer service and hospitality the food was amazing and Allan and his team made sure everything went on without any hiccups, they even decorated for us. I recommend to anyone that is having a wedding or just dinning out! Will be back for sure.

The Dover Forge was perfect for our October wedding. My husband and I live close by and wanted a local VT venue. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Alan, the manager, was so helpful and worked out every detail perfectly. Great food and awesome location. Our day was more perfect than we could have imagined!
We had our daughter wedding there yesterday!!! The staff was PHENOMENAL!!!!! Thank you to all of them!!! The food was so fantastic!!! If anyone needs a great venue to have a wedding this is it!!!! They put so much personal attention to us and accommodated us with so much, thank you again Alan to you in your staff!!! You helped make this a truly memorable day!!!!

New chef/staff are great. Went during the busy week of Christmas/New Year's and 6/6 of us had fantastic meals. Can't wait to go back. Best food I've had there since it opened!

Best ribs I have ever had. Very tender, perfectly smoked, with good barbecue sauce. Interesting side orders: street corn and fried pickles. We got a takeout order due to the pandemic, but did like the rustic atmosphere inside and would like to come back to eat inside. Nice staff.
Place cool and unique. We really liked the atmosphere (inside and out). The food was alright - not bad but nothing special.

Experience was great, got seated right away on a Thursday night without a reservation, on another night might need one. The place is a restaurant and pool hall combo but separated enough so it’s not weird. The food was tasty, tried a special skirt steak blue cheese app, truffle polenta fries and the rack of lamb special. Decor was also perfect, old school ski chalet chick.
Best BBQ this side of the Mason-Dixon.

The ribs were awsome. The fried pickles and fried greenbeans were wonderful. You will not leave hungry
