By Far best place for Mixology type drinks in Bucks County and rivals some of the good spots in NYC/Philly. A slice of speakeasy heaven if you have a chance to do events downstairs.

Cozy little place tucked inside the Doylestown Marketplace. Great service and friendly atmosphere and of course a great cocktail ! Bonus: food service from 3 adjoining restaurants can be ordered and served to you here.

Drinks were pricey, but consistent and spot on. This isn't your typical bartender bar....it had to have had Mixologists behind the bar because of the consistency and taste.
Amazing drinks handcrafted specifically for you and your tastes. The delicious smell from the smoke infused drinks drew us in. I had two different drinks, both were fantastic, while my husband enjoyed the "hops" selections. We will definitely be back!

Your mixologist Shaun, is straight from Fleetwoods in Mauii, (fleetwoodsonfrontst) He is not a "bartender", he is a connoisseur of the spirits! It's wonderful to find someone who loves their job and takes pride in something as silly as a cocktail and knows their stuff. Everything you should order should be off menu, and spend a moment to give basic directions of like \ dislikes and then stay hands off. Most if not all drinks have a custom in house made ingredient. Oh, and did I mention that it's wonderfully hand crafted cocktails, but are priced SO reasonable there is no argument for me to sit and get a drink anywhere else in Dtown again.. ever. I pray they don't ever get full of themselves down the road, and jack up prices. It's a craft cocktail that for the moment is all about just a great product at a fair price. Kudos to a beautiful new addition to the Boro! Wishing you many happy years to come!

Not many can say they have found their “bar”, if you watch any sit coms you know what I’m referring to. It is hard to find those places now a days, a simple sit down bar where you can grab a drink after work with your buddies. Well after going to hop/scotch for over 4 years. I can say I have found my bar.
Unlike the other bars around town, hop/scotch does their routine a bit different. What do I mean? They are inclusive and offer more variety in their business.

Everyday is different but two things I can always expect walking in. One, The warm welcome and amazing customer service of Christian, Lindsay, Michael, Rachel, Abby, and Sam (and others that I forget their names sorry). Two, the incredible food choices! The pizza from the restaurant they work with is absolutely perfect.
If I had to add one note is this.
- is not for everybody, believe me, is not a “college bar” or a “smoke bar”. It is something better.
Had our engagement party in the downstairs bar areas and everything was perfect! Christian was so pleasant and easy to work with, the bartenders did an incredible job, and everyone had a great time. We also ordered pizzas and salad from Sputino, which was all delicious.
Enjoy fancy freakin cocktails and atmosphere? Go here! Expertly crafted drinks, local craft beers (Moss Mill!) and a unique tapas and pizza menu that is sure to meet anyone’s appetite (fancy quesadilla, grilled cheese, and slider flights, anyone?).
My skinny margarita was exactly what i needed it to be!!! As a diabetic it’s hard to get drinks that are actually unsweet. The bartender Lindsay made it perfect 👌🏻
We had a fabulous time here today! I was very confused at first entering the marketplace and saw the pizza place and the PA Soup & Seafood etc, (thought Hops/Scotch was a restaurant) sat down at Hops/Scotch and the most fabulous server ever-Christian-explained to us that they serve cocktails/beer but they can order food from anywhere in the marketplace. I had the pizza (fabulous) my mom LOVED LOVED LOVED her salmon sandwich and soup and my sister had a great burger. I loved my cocktail Half Shaft/Half Superman ? I think that's what it's called...had 2 so I'm not sure! All the staff there was great, will most definitely be back!!! Thanks for a great night!
A great bar with attentive service and great drinks.
Only complaint is the noise level. Saturday evening (around 6pm) the sound level at the main bar was deafening - no band or live music, just people talking and some background music! You will lose your voice after a short time of talking at a volume that can be heard by someone sitting right next to you. Fix this, and five stars.
Came for the $5 Mai Tais special on Tuesday. They did not skimp on the alcohol. Very pleasant staff. I can see how it’d be a fun spot to go on a weekend.
Large drink selection, I clouding non-alcoholic. Didn’t try the food, but the atmosphere was really cool- kinda like a little secret pub where everyone has a great drink they’re enjoying. Parking is rough because it’s in the middle of town, and the waitress wasn’t super attentive. We went awhile without water and drinks being refilled. She also asked us to close out an afternoon tab with her to start an evening tab with her- same waitress so kinda didn’t make sense to me. But overall, it’s a cool place with a good variety of drinks.
Lucas is a GREAT bartender. Seriously, he was on point from the minute we walked in. He made the best old fashions. Because of him, we'll definitely be back!
Fun bar, nice atmosphere, good service from pleasant bartenders. Cool smoke infused scotch based cocktails are a favorite. This is a bar to come to for dinner, as you can grab a table and order from one of the little restaurants in the building, including the excellent Spuntino wood fired pizza. There is seating outside in the back, or down in the dungeon, for maximum atmosphere.
Went out for drinks, and the place was nice and chill. Drinks were made very well, especially "curmudgeon".
Great craft cocktails and beers you won't find at other Doylestown bars. Trivia and other events weekly.
Finally!! Doylestown has a truly authentic and top notch cocktail bar that is on par with the best of NYC. My new go to place and I currently live in NYC. Smoked drinks here are a MUST

Very cute bar vibe. Seasonal cocktails were out of date but bartenders make good drinks. Pizzas were great. A perfect neighborhood hang.
