Sri Vasantha Bhavan South Indian vegetarian restaurant is a hidden gem in Dublin, California. The menu is extensive, with something for everyone, but I highly recommend the dosa and upathadum. Sri also offers a wide variety of other South Indian vegetarian dishes, such as idli, vada, and uttapam. The service at Sri is always friendly and attentive. The staff is happy to help you choose dishes and explain the menu. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, making it the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal with friends and family. I highly recommend Sri Vasantha Bhavan South Indian vegetarian restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic South Indian dining experience. The dosa and upathadum are must-tries!

There are so many choices for dosa places in the Tri Valley but this place is the absolute best for their choice of dosas. Clean place, friendly people and amazing dosas ! Do try the exotic onion chilli rava masala dosa if you want to try something different. Highly recommended for simple affordable vegetarian South Indian fare. This is an update to my previous experience- we went back again a few times and found the service to be totally deplorable. So I guess consistency is not the name of the game!!

Very good Indian vegetarian restaurant. The taste is much better than the ambience or the service. Not even once they came and filled the water jugs on the table, unless we asked for it. Service leaves one much desired. Food is awesome and simply tasteful. With so many variety of things and so much taste you may want to try one after another, as it happened with us. Had a great time with family.

This is one of the best restaurants to work for! I worked here as Cashier for 6 months and truly a cherishing one. Special mention to the owners Shankar and Hema here, who are more like friends to their employees. I have hardly seen them yell or boss around anyone. Now this is an example to be set in the food industry for a good work environment! I met here friends for life. About food, most dishes made with real quality ingredients just like home.

I always enjoy dining at Vasanta Bhavan during my visits to the Bay Area! The south-Indian dishes, snacks and filter coffee are tasty and refreshing; a great taste for those far from home! The owner/manager is very courteous, following up on our orders, providing his personal recommendations and takes feedback positively.

Had the Vasantha special thali for $13.10 after tax. 11 vegetarian sides with rice and papadum. I was stuffed. The atmosphere here is extremely casual. Parking is difficult. 11/2/18 Update: Tried their lunch buffet on Friday for $14.25 after tax. The favors were too heavy/oily and many dishes weren't well-heated, but the fresh dosa was excellent. For the quality, I didn't feel it was worth the price. 11/5/18 Update: Upgrading to 5 stars. Had the Andra Spicy Thali. Excellent flavors and variety. For overall quality and cleanliness, in comparation with other local Bhavan, this restaurant deserves 5 stars. Yet to try: their dosas.

Highly recommend trying Sri Vasantha Bhavan in Dublin if you are craving some South Indian food. We have tried their dosas and some appetizers like Onion Spinach Pakoda and loved the food here. My personal favorite is the Onion Chilly Masala Rava Dosa (there is a version without chilies if you prefer less spicy). Food quality is good and service is quick. Special mention to the main person at the counter (Mani) for his friendly service and great recommendations. A must try if you are in the area 🙂

We ordered for two people for early dinner dine-in. We ordered SVB special idli, rava dosa, and SVB thali. As a South Indian, I felt this place lived up to my expectations. The special podi idli was absolutely amazing! Rava dosa was solid but the complimenting chutneys were very tasty. The thali was very filling and satisfying. And best thing is great value for price!
