This place is amazing! I have nothing bad to say about it. We were meeting up with family, and looking for a mid point. 2 vegetarians from NY and 2 meat eaters from PA, so I called ahead to see if they could accommodate everyone's food preferences. We ate in the Parlor Car, and the food was fantastic! I had the filet, which was perfect. And, my family members said it was the best veggie burger they had ever tasted! After dinner, we stopped by the Brew works car for a drink, and sat on the deck outside, just catching up. We would've loved to play mini golf but it was pouring out, so that'll be the plan for next time. We all loved how unique the place was, and everyone had a great time. Definitely worth traveling to!
We had dinner in the Parlor car for our anniversary. The food was incredible and the service was wonderful. We have eaten in the diner several times also and it is one of our favorite places to go.
Loved the 50s dining car! Our waitress was very nice, food was excellent! Loved the pizza roll appetizers! Went to the ice cream shop for dessert, we had a great experience and will go back for sure!!
What an amazing place. Best hamburger I have ever had. Amazing railway history as well. Highly recommend visiting.
Cute place to eat and check out some historical trains!! Staff was friendly and the best Reuben ever!!! Visiting from NC
This place is amazing! We ate in the 50s dining car and had the lobster bisque, which my sister said was the best she ever had and was loaded with lobster and I had the butternut squash bisque which was equally as good! We had the chopped salad and enjoyed them, as well. We took a tour of the 1913 parlor car which has a farm to table fresh menu - we browsed the menu and are anxious to go back & take our friends! we also want to try the train car which has the Penn State creamery ice cream and their hotdogs, which they acquired The recipe for Bailey's secret sauce!!
Lucked into being there for the New Year’s weekend Parlor Car chef tasting menu sampler~everything tasted amazing!! Best rolls I’ve ever had~crusty on the outside but soft inside.
Three trips in five days says it all!
Fish fry was excellent, service was top notch on 6/2.
Ice cream trip Sunday was unbelievable! When my cone was handed out the window I thought it was a mistake! It was not they are just that big.
Well I had the bring the hubby in for dinner. The information about the car we were invited to tour was awesome. Once again we had a wonderful time and a delicious fish sandwich. We tried the Penn State creamery ice cream and it was everything I anticipated and more!
We will definitely return again soon.
This place is awesome...so excited about having such a cool place to eat and play in our neighborhood.
We stopped at the Doolitle Depot on our way from Cleveland to NY. It was a cute little place that is made to look like a train station straight out of yesteryear. There is a small mini golf course that little children might enjoy. There was also a dinosaur museum that was closed when we were there so we were unable to explore it. The old trains that they have there are fascinating, assuming you’re a train fanatic. One of the trains was one that President Franklyn D. Roosevelt was on, and there is a picture of him on that train. One of trains is set up to look like a 50’s diner.
I don't get to go here very often, as I live quite far away. But when work gives me the opportunity to come here, I'm ecstatic!
The experience of eating in the decomissioned rail cars is wonderful, and food is quite good. In addition, the whole of the Depot is a delightful spot of weirdness on an otherwise uneventful drive across the state.
Seeing the Bigfoot and T-Rex out front really brings a smile to my face!
Hamburgers are delicious, I had the Breakfast Burger. Sundaes are a two person dessert. Rootbeer float was fantastic. Did I mention the Ice Cream is from the Penn State Creamery..... All in all was nice meal. Wish I could have tried the Box Car Brewery, literally a couple of box cars up. Will definitely be stopping back.
We ate at the parlor car for a New Year’s Eve chef tasting menu and it was all delicious! It took 3 hours for dinner so don’t be in a hurry. What a cool experience to eat on a historic train car.
I love his collection of different railcars. I randomly drive down from Buffalo, NY for a mini road trip just to hang out for a dinner. The Boxcar brewery is my favorite. You won't be disappointed. The only thing I wished the owner to do is light up the railroad signals around the property.
Thanks for being open New Years Eve.

AWESOME! Great staff, excellent food, and an amazing atmosphere. We ate in the diner car ,definitely get a milkshake and enjoy the hand cut chips.
This is a fascinating place to visit. They're working hard to make it a premier spot. We didn't have time to eat, but the food and atmosphere look good.
