Best dining experience I have had on my visit here. Being from Louisiana, I am very particular about my food. This place did not disappoint at all. Clam chowder outstanding!! Fry breading has a wonderrful flavor and the perfect crispness. Service from Sparky was an added plus along with all the attentiveness from all who work there. Pretty sure I will make my way back before I leave town.
Really nice Tiki bar on the river. Stephanie was my server and she did an excellent job. The super Grouper and Fried Mushrooms were excellent
Stopped in to grab some lunch after paddling. I tried the seafood mac and cheese and it was very good and very affordable. I was surprised at the number of large scallops I received. I enjoyed being able to sit at the tall counter overlooking the river. The only thing I did not like was the parking area. I don't know if there is another parking lot, but the lot we parked in was tiny and difficult to navigate because people were just parking anywhere they could squeeze a car.
Blue Gator had everything that I LOVE in an eating establishment! ❤️❤️❤️ Great wait staff, amazing view of the Withlacoocie River and outstanding food. The Gator bites were better than I expected and the mushroom swiss burger melted in my mouth...💯💯💯

What a gem of a Riverside restaurant. Fantastic seafood. My wife and I ate here three times in as many days. We loved the extensive outdoor seating and opted for the bar stool seating overlooking the river option. This is a non-pretentious come as you are place. I had the Angler Platter for dinner and sampled fried clamstrips, fried grouper and blackened scallops. All were excellent and fresh catch tasting. The batter was perfect on the clams and fish. The hush puppies were some of the best we ever had. Golfball size, perfectly fried and a nice sweet moist interior with a crispy coating. Another best ever were the clam strips. I’ve had bigger but not better. Perfectly fried with a crunchy batter and tender sweet clams! They were so good I ordered them as my entree the following day. We also loved the baby bakers as a side. Mini baked potatoes. Good size portion. I recommend ordering a side of sour cream for dipping. Their sweet potato fries were tasty too. They also offer a might tasty New England Clam Chowder. Great staff. Crystal is a sweet and sassy waitress that we loved. We will be back !! Did I mention reasonable prices!
Great bar food! I had the Black and Blue Burger--it was outstanding! Cooked to order, fresh, and well plated for bar food! 2 thumbs up from me!!

I’m not generally a person who goes for hush puppies, but theirs were outstanding and I’ll get them every time.
The blackened grouper was very tasty along with the fried shrimp.

I really enjoyed this place and what I had. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was cool. I had the blue gator for a drink and you couldn’t even tell there was alcohol in it. We also had the seafood Mac and cheese yummy for sure and the trio app. I was surprised how good the fried green beans were.
We got the Cuban sandwich and the Black and Bleu burger. Both were excellent! The blue cheese, ranch, and bang bang sauces are homemade. You've really gotta check it out. Sparky was our waitress and she rocked!
This place is fantastic !! The fish was so fresh. My wife loved the salmon salad and because a little lady eating there told me their Cubans were good I ordered one. It was hands down the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had. Server was great and atmosphere was comfortable. We were visiting the area when we visited there. Now we can't wait to go back !!
P.S. The gator bites are absolutely the freshest and the best that we have ever had .
Good food, if it was warmer out we would have loved sitting out on their deck!
AMAZING PLACE. We had lunch for two on the outside deck overlooking the river. Very cool atmosphere a large bag and tons of tables for seating. Both meals were very good and reasonably priced. We are two hours away but will definitely make a trip back for this place and to try his Airboat tour or maybe rent a small boat. Super cool place that you must stop at!
Not going to lie... they had a great French dip! Sliders were delicious, Tator tots were crispy, and the gator bites were so good. They get busy so expect to wait sometimes. Not a ton of seating, but it’s a hole in the wall type place so that adds to the allure if you know what i mean. Check them out, it is a go to if your in the area. They are right off rainbow river! I’ll def be back :)
I came back and omg my burger was so good! The waitress was so friendly and helpful as well. My husband got the gumbo and he ate every drop lol 😆
We love this place. Our drinks and food was spot on. Just delicious. Every staff person we spoke with was very friendly and seemed to be happy with their job. I love that about a place. A gentleman (I assume a manager) was walking around checking on people and being very personable. Definitely a place you want to visit often.
The Frog Legs and Gator bites were so good. Oh, and the green drink, a long island with melon liqueur instead of orange liqueur with no sour mix or coke. You're welcome. lol
Me and my friends floated for 2 hours down the beautiful Rainbow River and were in need of food afterwards…The Blue Gator was WITHOUT A DOUBT the perfect place for us to end up. The wooden sculpture is INSANELY ARTISTIC and they have huge fans here. Our server Barbara. was amazing!!!! We looove Barbara, and she loves yellow. Corn nuggets are GAS. Incredible black and blue burger, wonderful atmosphere, and thank you to Barbra for her amazing service!

Conversation about old time had drinks and brunch. The drinks were awesome and the food was outstanding service was on the same level to ever thing I highly recommend if your I the neighbor hood to take the time and stop and say high have a drink and relax

We love sitting on the deck with Millie and enjoying the Withlacoochee River. We recommend the fish basket, hamburgers, mac 'n cheese, and the key lime pie. Great, friendly service!
Laid back spot on the Withlacoochee River to grab a feed and a cold one. I've dropped in several times and have never had a bad experience at Blue Gator. Food is always hot and fresh. I usually stop mid-day on weekdays when they aren't slammed. Tasty burgers and fish & chips. 😋 Dog friendly on the deck. 🐾 Plenty of shade and fans. 👍
