From the pictures on the website, I thought this place was going to be much larger. Although smaller than expected, the atmosphere was beautiful and the food was yummy. I thought this would be more of a “ranch adventure” (whatever that means 😏) but it’s more of a dining experience. The beet salad and veggie burger were delicious! I would definitely come back.

Truly regret not exploring this place until our last day in Durango. If you like/love cheese STOP HERE!!! They have some of the best cow's milk cheese I have tasted. They also offer goat cheese, but I've only had their cow's milk cheese. We went right when they open and had the place to ourselves. My daughters got to see their cows get milked. I wish we didn't have other places to go that morning because they have ice cream made by a local creamery and it looked amazing. But alas, we couldn't take it with us. We'll definitely be heading here first on our next trip to Durango!

The market is a must stop for anyone in the area, even if you're just passing through. The food is delicious, the quality unmatched, and the scenery gorgeous. Most people traveled further to their meal than the meal did to them--all the beef is from the land you can see, and it doesn't at all disappoint. The ambience is great too--relaxed and welcoming to all.

The ice cream is made from the James Ranch eggs and milk and it's great. (we had to buy all the flavours). You can truly taste the quality.

I am from Indiana. The food was fantastic. I especially loved the COCONUT SODA. The view of the mountains was breathtaking. Would suggest to anyone to come and experience a unique place to eat.

Happened upon this gem of a spot while exploring the Animas valley and was pleasantly surprised. The market attendant who was a member of the family was very accommodating and eager to share the history and ethos of the ranch and associated businesses. I support the hyper local food movement and the “table on farm” concept was executed beautifully. A highlight of my trip and an easy recommendation for friends and family.

Fun little store with high quality produce. I will say that while you can expect to pay higher prices for some products, it's to be expected considering the cost of producing at smaller scale. I will definitely be back to try more meats, cheeses, and produce.
