Stopped by today on a whim and am so grateful I did! Walking in the ambience is great- decorations and music definitely sets the mood for a great meal in a relaxing atmosphere. My meal was superb and the dessert to die for. I enjoyed my meal, service and surroundings for nearly two hours, taking my time and enjoying every second. Will definitely be back for more! Next up- the salmon!

Franck's new place exceeded our expectations. Interesting variations on classic dishes (the Caprese Tower & Ravioli with Truffles) and outstanding execution of Coquilles Saint Jacques with saffron sauce! There was music on the patio which added to the ambiance. Great to have Chef Bacquet back!

This is a wonderful place to enjoy superb food with old friends and new. The ambiance stands alone, with a wealth of art that makes you feel both welcomed and relaxed with a feeling like being at home. The dishes are one of a kind, consistent with delicious combinations from the hands of a master artist of foods (Chef Franck). This combination is one of a kind in our beautiful Treasure Valley. The service is remarkable and makes for a completely satiated experience.

Bacquet's Restaurant offer everything we look for when we go to the restaurant...excellent food with authentic flavors, good wine, special relaxing ambiance (often with live music). It's like no other place in the Treasure Valley...it's unique. Lunch and dinner, both are excellent, we have to go back to try everything...last week for lunch I had the quiche and it was so good, light and fluffy with a thin crust with a nice salad...et que dire à propos de la magnifique terrasse entourée de plans de tomates, d'aubergine, basilic et même un petit pommier! C'est magnifique! I hope everybody will try that new Bacquet's Restaurant.

Absolutely the BEST French cuisine we have ever had and we have eaten in France quite a lot! The French onion soup, salmon and escargot were the best we have EVER had!

On Thursday night we stepped into what felt like a Paris Bistro and were greeted at the door by Chef/Owner Franck Bacquet himself as the live music provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our waitress Kim was very knowledgeable about the menu which changes daily depending on what's fresh. She guided us to the "wine library" where Chef Franck himself helped us to pick the perfect bottle of wine to compliment our chosen dishes. We started with the Seafood Flat Bread as our appetizer course and it was excellent. I had the Lamb and my mother had the Veal. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious. We finished with a shared chocolate mousse that was light as air and some espresso. It was a perfect meal and we'll be back again 4SURE.

My husband and I were told about this place when we arrived in Boise, and we decided to give it a shot. We arrived and they were busy, but made time and space for us. They even had a plate of fruit, meat, and cheese for our baby waiting at the table for us. The staff treated us well, and were very engaging. The atmosphere was relaxing and fun, and the food was top tier excellent. After we finished eating, the owner talked with us a bit, and was very kind and outgoing. Our experience was wonderful. I 100% recommend everything about this place!

This is hands down going to be the best review I have ever written. I truly cannot possibility put into words how amazing our experience was! We came for a birthday dinner and this place came highly recommended from a good friend so we had to swing by! The vibe is somewhat casual, there was live music outside on the patio but my husband and I got sat inside in the romantic corner where the owner told us several movies/shows have filmed at! It was so cool to learn a little bit of their history! Our server came by and recommended that we do the wine tour if we were considering ordering a bottle of wine so we did! The owner Michelle took us on a little adventure to their wine nook where she shared some of their favorites and what would go well with our dinner. We got to pick our bottle (we picked a white that was in the cooler) and they served it table side. The wine? Absolutely perfect. We were feeling adventurous and decided to order escargot as an appetizer despite never having tried it! If you are feeling bold, order it! It’s so mild in texture but the flavor is whatever chef whips up! Buttery, salty and so good with their bread! The butter is also piped onto a tiny shell that just seals the deal for a great appetizer experience. Oh, and we did order a bowl of French onion soup too! It was great, I just can’t get over how good the escargot was! For dinner we had the special lobster entree and another pasta dish! The menu changes often so no point in getting into the details of our entree other than to say it was delicious! I cannot imagine ordering anything bad off of their menu! We are dessert lovers and were convinced to order their chocolate mousse simply because we saw several other tables ordering it! We also paired our chocolate mousse with a port, another success. All in all, the dinner and experience was unlike anything we’ve had in downtown Boise. I’m serious Barbacoa, Chandlers and Ruths Chris, sorry but they have you beat! If you’re going to eat this good of food, expect to wait. They are busy with few people on staff so be patient and enjoy the atmosphere! I cannot recommend this place enough, an absolute must!

We were met at the door by the chef's wife and co-owner. The restaurant in very colorful & cute with original artwork by the chef. The service was excellent. The menu has many very good sounding choices that make it difficult to choose. I started off with their famous French onion soup. I thought it was very good but not great or the best I've ever had. I followed it up with the house specialty, an assortment of shell fish over pasta in a nice broth with garlic bread. I thought the broth was a little bland. The portion was gigantic with a lot of the shellfish. I'm a big eater and could barely get past half the serving. I took it home and the next day the broth was more tastey. My wife had veal that she liked very much. It was also a huge portion and was great the next day. Their wine menu is unique and very interesting, with an explanation of the wines, that included tastings at the serving bar. We had a really nice experience at a cute place. We are looking forward to trying it again.

Best dinner in Boise! (Eagle) We were blown away... Every dish we tried was perfect. Handmade from scratch. Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was so comfortable and fun. My wife and I love good food, but we don't want the typical chain or franchise. Bacquet's delivers in every aspect, and Christian, our waiter, was friendly and helpful. He had very thoughtful recommendations for our food and wine choices. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. This is what a night out with my wife should be. We can't wait to go back... I'm already making my menu plans for next time!

Having spent a good amount of time in France, I am likely to be more discriminating than most. Without going into an exhausting dissertation ... it's EXCELLENT! Bon appetit! Service was outstanding! Only two suggestions: Create a wine list and limit the Corkage fee to $15. To the response:typiquement français arrogant homme
