This place is THE BEST kabob restaurant in Lansing. So good. Well priced too for the huge portions! The staff recognizes people even after one time and is super helpful and kind.
I've order twice from Sparty's and I was delighted both times. For the first time I ordered through uber eats and had the Iraqi salad, hummus, and tandoori chicken with rice. It was delicious and the salad was very refreshing. I also had the cheesecake, which was so good that I went back and ordered it the second time. The second time I came it was dine-in, and I appreciated the booths as they offered some seclusion while I ate (they also offer tables outside). For my second order I kept the tandoori chicken and ordered the eggplant salad, baba ganoush, and of course the cheesecake. The Iraqi tea paired well. I would also like to highlight the tandoori chicken, because it was so wonderfully tender and perfectly seasoned. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Accidentally found this gem while visiting MSU. Rayan, the owner was very nice in explaining all the options available. My favorite was the lamb shank with kabsa, add the salad and hummus. While you're there, don't miss out the baklava and bird nest, they were really truly delicious. All in all, the food was fantastic, the place was nice and clean, the owners were very friendly. Will visit again next time we're in Michigan.
I got the sparty’s regular plate with Greek salad, eggplant salad, white rice, and lamb kebabs. I quite enjoyed the meal, especially the lamb kebabs and rice. The eggplant salad wasn’t for me, but my little brother loved it. The restaurant had no wait time and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall I’d definitely recommend trying Sparty’s
The guy working was amazing, we got two vegan plate and they were far beyond phenomenal, definitely will find myself coming back.
Love their chicken sandwich! I picked my own ingredients, but the best part was how good that was! Chicken is tender, juicy, and hopeful they add pickled turnips back on the menu.
Prices are really good too lol.
Spartys Kabob was a terrific little family owned restaurant, and they claim to be distinctively Iraqi cuisine, with different entrees than the other mediterrenian restaurants in the area. They certainly have good kabobs, and the lamb shank was super tender. It was quiet when we were there, and since we got there during closing time, our salad selection wasn't the best, but man, the kabobs were good and so was their rice. The Okra soup was poured over the rice and it soaked in to form a great flavor and texture. Overall very good with generous portions for the price. We will put this one on our "must visit again" list.
I ordered to go so don't mind the presentation. The food was excellent! Prices were very reasonable. This plate came with 2 scoops of my choice of salads. A serving of rice. Beans (or ocra) and a choice of meat. I got lamb. If you're looking for a great place to eat, I would recommend! Their service was quick and polite! I was in and out within 5 minutes!
Food is excellent and reasonably priced! They had many of my usual arabic food favorites along with their unique cuisine from the Iraq region. I was thrilled to see many vegetarian/vegan options for a vegetarian friend- including veggie meatless kabobs! They also have ground chicken kabob which was awesome for non red meat fans like myself. I was also excited to see they have a rice alternative (bulgar wheat) for a healthier choice. Pricing is good... and they offer many a la carte options for those that want to try multiple things. The seating area is nice and clean (and accommodates social distancing). They had a few tables outside in the breezeway as well that looked inviting for nice weather. Locally owned and family operated- the owners are very nice and were appreciative of us stopping in to give their delicious food a chance. Highly reccomend- great addition to good healthy food close to MSU campus!
friendly service, great food, and quite a broad and unique variety of tasty dishes. for vegetarians and meat eaters.

If you haven't been here you need to go now! It's amazing the food is great and the family was more than kind to me not knowing how to pronounce things! Thanks again you guys! Cinnamon rice 👌
First time here, we will be going back again.
When I got there it smelt so good I wanted to try everything! They made us a sampler and it was the best food I have had in Lansing.
Its hard to explain how happy my taste buds are.
Thank you for this amazing food!
Amazing Iraqi food! The combo platters are great for sharing! Everything is very flavorful. The tandoori chicken is spicy but delicious. Highly recommend the egg plant salad. One of my favorite restaurants in the area.
What great food and generous, friendly owners. We need to support businesses like Sparty's Kabob!
Finally gave this place a try- so glad I did. Great food and service close to campus. I have a new favorite place for lunch.
Amazing! Huge portions and so well done. Very excited to add Iraqi cuisine to Lansing.
Among the best, if not the best, Middle Eastern restaurant in EL. I recommend their catering above anything else as their dine in experience and catering are vastly different. The staff are also very kind and attentive. Their eggplant salad, babagnoush, Burgulr, & Lamb Shank are a must-try. Cheese cake is always a pleasure to have.
Got the Chicken Schwarma Sandwich with garlic sauce. It was so flavorful and juicy. I forgot to take a picture because I was really hungry and inhaled this thing! Also got the baklava, which was the perfect sweet end to my lunch. Be advised, do not try to eat this sandwich while driving, you will end up covered in it like I did. But sooooo worth it!
