The food was excellent, I can't eat the shrimp but man did I eat the catfish! Do NOT judge a book by the cover. Food is made fresh to order. If you are around check this place out!
The food from here is awesome. My mom and I loved the catfish nuggets and the fried okra we bought for dinner. We order a pound of nuggets and a large okra to feed 3 adults and one kid. Service is a bit slow when they are busy, but that is to be expected when everything is made fresh to order. There is no lingering smell or taste of fish on the other foods so you know they are using a quality oil, changing it often, and that they are not frying everything together. I will be back again soon to get more food. I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family if you like high quality fish at a good price.
I am from Memphis, Tennessee and I know good catfish when I taste it and it is so good. I have been going to the Catfish Basket for about 15 years and the food is excellent

Cute little dive restaurant, with BIG flavor and great service!! The catfish, butterfly shrimp, and wings were off-the-hook! No pun intended. Oh, and the fried okra was beyond delicious and the hush puppies were spot on. This place comes highly recommended and the bonus is the owner is present to ensure you have everything you need. Stop by and try it out, you will be happy you did!
Hidden gem! It ain’t much to look at but you won’t care as you’re elbows deep in this food! The fish! Oh lord - it’s amazing. Reminds me of fish fry’s back home in the Midwest. Hush puppies had to be the best I have had. Service is to order - so pull up a chair and wait.
I'm not big on catfish, so I got the wings. Those wings were huge and hit. They even snuck some toast under the wings.
Been coming here for years! The catfish is perfect every single time! We live in Socorro and will do the 45 mins drive just to have some. So glad they opened back up dinning in because we'd have to eat in the truck before lol 10/10 best catfish I've EVER had.
Super friendly staff and tasty catfish done just right with delicious okra and the sweetest free refillable tea. Worth the price as quantities are not shy in serving size.
All I can say is mmmmm, mmmmm good. This place really knows what it takes to keep a customer satisfied. Best fish in town. And the tea is on hit. I highly recommend it, and I shall be returning.
Went right when they opened up. The fish was good kinda over cooked. It's a lot of food for the price easily feeds 2 people. I just didn't like the fact that the lady co-owner was prepping the tartar sauce cups in the dining area. Really off putting
