A local favorite burritos and sandwiches, ribs on Saturday. The potato salad is the best ever! One of the great local places run by the same woman for a few decades.

Johnny's Pit Barbeque, on the outside is a fairly nondescript place on Doniphan Dr. That, is where average ends for Johnny's.
I went there with my fiance, and we were promply greeted by a friendly, enthusiastic lady who promptly started that the ribs were still available. Music to my ears!
Of course, I ordered a half rack of ribs.
Perfectly cooked, just enough smoke to let you know, but still allowing the flavor of the meat to speak for itself. So darn good I didn't even take a picture!
The Barbeque sauce, had just enough vinegar to open the taste buds but not enough to be pungent. Again, still allowing the meat to speak for itself.
Additionally, we ordered the Big Johnny.
The bun, toasted to perfection. However, it barely contained the brisket, and fixings. Brisket was smoked perfectly, just like the ribs. Not dry, not greasy. Topped with pickles, mustard, bbq sauce, onions and jalapeños.
In still thinking about this sandwich a day later.
Everyone thinks their BBQ is the best.
I could recommend Johnny's ribs over my own.
The Big Johnny is an amazing and highly devourable brisket sandwich. The chili beans were good too, nice portion size even on the small. Excellent fast and friendly service.
Fantastic takeout baby back ribs and brisket sandwich. Tender meat, tasty sauce, Packaged very nicely with extra bbq sauce. Good cole slaw and macaroni salad. Too bad ribs aren't available every day. Nothing else negative to say.
Been coming to Johnny's Pit Barbecue since I was a kid now. Female owned and operated, I believe. Awesome BBQ. Get the Big Johnny, and ask for 1/2 brisket and 1/2 hot links. Unreal.
These ladies just ROCK the BBQ! I've had good BBQ and ribs at other places, but this place IS THE BEST place to get yummy, fall off the bone, flavorful ribs! The coleslaw was spectacular and from what I hear, the macaroni salad was some of the best my fiance has ever had! If we ever visit El Paso again, we're definitely going back to this place!
The food was great and the people welcomed us Kansans like we were family.
1st time going to this place, decided to go real quick on my lunch and it was great. Fast service took about 5 minutes to get my food. I ordered the johnny burger and it was great.
Terrific people and services. Had the #3 serves 7-8 AND full rack of ribs. Ribs SO tender, pulled pork: EXCELLENT, and brisket was delicious.
This place does not disappoint. Tasty and filling!! Try a brisket burrito with cheese and everything on it, they are pretty amazing!

As always I have to get my BBQ fix and stop at Johnny's Pit BBQ. The sandwich's and ribs are totally awesome and delicious! The amount of meat that they stack on the sandwich's is well worth the sandwich and price. The sides are also very good which are homemade.
A shout out to all the ladies behind the counter who are super,super nice and very customer friendly. Also, kudos to the cooks! I appreciate everyone in what they do!
I highly recommended Johnny's Pit BBQ to anyone who is looking for a great BBQ sandwich/ribs!

A nice woman owned business with delicious food and kind service. A must have are the pork ribs only available on Saturday after 12:30, but they sell out quick. Potato salad is more close to a mashed potato salad, and it's so f#¢king delicious I always buy a larger serving to take home and enjoy. The Big Johnny is a meaty monster of a sandwich. Anything you get from the menu is going to be delicious.
Grab a brownie or three when you're there!
I had the Big Johnny, a lot of brisket, very tender and juicy, delicious. It's a very large sandwich, I highly recommend.
GREAT brisket, moist and tender!! Potato salad very tasty.
Had a very good sliced brisket sandwich with bark on sides. Sauce thin and unremarkable which was ok because the meat flavor came thru.
Disappointing was side order of potato salad which was basically a bowl of cold mashed potatoes with only a few soft chunks of potatoes. Would not order this again. Brisket sandwich absolutely.
Decent brisket barbecue and great portions. I got their regular size brisket sandwich and it was great! Seems like really good people there too!
