Good food, efficient service, clean building. It’s been years since I’ve been here, and it was as good as I remembered. My nephew doesn’t do spicy food and said the cheeseburger and hot dog were good as well.
OMG RATED TACOS!!!
If you are visiting OR you live in El Paso, Tx. You must bless yourself with these tacos.
The simplicity, the crunch, and the rich flavor is there from first bite to the last bite.
BTW, I do not hand out OMG RATING to every restaurant. And they've earned it in my book.
I ordered their famous double order rolled beef tacos. Delicious!!!!
Must try: Rolled beef tacos, with green sauce.
A childhood staple for me and my family..it was good when I was younger then it was a miss as I got older..and now it seems like they are BACK!! And a lot friendlier than when I was a kid!! Hard times have made them humble!!! When I come from Dallas I have to get my fix!!
Came here from AZ just driving thru. Saw this from Maps for Mexican food. Great food.
200 percent Excellent service in general.. we love this place ! Chicos Tacos “Rock” 4/ever! Ofelia Montoya
The last time I was here was 2015, I hope I don't have to go so long again. This place is iconic and still has such great eats. The wife and kids want to come back on our next vacation, and I'll bring them!
Come on, it’s Chico’s Tacos! You know what you’re getting here even before you show up! The famous tacos were and always are spot on! The fries are always good! The hot sauce is excellent! Love this place!

For those unfamiliar with Chico's, think west coast rolled tacos (minus the avocado and sour cream) in a tomato broth with shredded cheddar on top.
If you eat them quick they will be crispy and crunchy, but they will get soft in the broth. If you want some spice pour over the jalapeno sauce.
Try the single which has three tacos or the double that comes with 6 if you're up for it.
Also if you're not sure about the sauce you can order it separately and pour it in at will or dip the tacos.
Chico's has been around for decades. They keep the tables and floors clean, at least when we visited there. Food was good as has always been the case. Service was prompt, and even though there was a line we didn't wait very long. There seems to be someone looking out to clean out the tables and booths when someone leaves so that tables remain clean for others to sit and enjoy their food. Simple, quick, clean, & tasty. Only thing, the fries could have been a little crisper and hotter.
I like this Chico's it's the food and people and booths you expect. During the day you will find a seat and by midnight you will not. If you go you go for the novelty of being at a Chico's. The people the language and the atmosphere is different. 3 singles, 2 fries, 1 regular cheeseburger and 2 drinks for 17 and change.
El Paso tradition, I try to go whenever I am in El Paso. No frills delicious rolled tacos, the sauce and the ridiculous amount of cheese is what makes it special. The sauce is tomato based but very light with a hint of spice, it's so good. The restaurant itself leaves a lot to be desired, older building not so great area. Cash only. Must try, highly recommend!
Nice to try something local with history similar to some places at home
Love the place. Just off the beaten path.
Fiod was delicious and the workers were very friendly. Hoped to get a shirt but they were all out. Next time I'm here I'll try to get one. Keep up the good work and many blessings to you.
If you want some delicious Chicos Tacos.. come to this location! This location and the one near Washington Park are the only good ones nowadays. The food was definitely hot, the drinks were cold. Expect a line when you’re ready to order but it’s all worth it! Your food is served fairly quickly unless you order a burger/hotdog.
Old establishment that has not changed since I left El paso since late 80s. Only takes cash so make sure you do. ATM in the store charges a fee if you want to avoid fees.
