A friend and I stop by to give it a try. Ordered the Texas Burrito. Nice size and the price was good. Had free chips as we waited. The wait staff was very nice. I love how clean it was and the bathroom where even very clean. The only downside if I had to pick one would be the music it was a little loud and a little hard to talk to the person sitting right across from you.
Cheese dip was better than usual, wasn't as runny. Thicker is better. Always good salsa. My boys always order the ACP and never disappoints. I change it up, had the chihuahua this time (beef, chicken and bacon.

I really suggest the Barria..packed with flavor!!its not on the menu yet..but is available if you ask. They should also have a lamb dish upcoming..along with updated menu and sign....its actually Mi Cancun now. !!
Beautiful restaurant with a really good menu. Food and prices were very good, definitely would recommend the street taco plate. Our waitress Kristy was very nice and helpful with everything. Good choice for a quick bite or a long meal.
Takeout and dine in are both open. Quick takeout service. $13 for Don Ramon tacos and $12 for Cheese Dip burrito seems ok. $7.50 for two plates of rice with cheese dip is a bit much. Food was standard Mexican fare...nothing to rave about but still good. Rated as 4 stars due to value is a bit on lower end due to high prices.
My Son and I had lunch here and the waitress was very friendly & the food was delicious. This is the most authentic Mexican food I’ve had since I moved here 2 years ago! I would recommend the tacos with a corn tortilla. Definitely worth a try!
My husband and I frequently eat here. This week we learned it changed ownership to MI Cancun. The food was amazing. The customer service was impeccable and the prices are very reasonable. Great authentic ambience with upbeat music and very whimsical art. They offered additional complimentary chips and salsa compared to the previous owners. We were also surprised how quickly our order arrived. Very generous portions. Absolutely one of our favorite places to eat in Elizabeth City.
Had the nicest server assist me with my take-out order. The 4 tacos plate was absolutely divine! Will definitely have to check out the bar now that they've settled into their new building
First time here and the food was delicious!!! From the chips and the salsa to my meal!!
It was great when Happy Taco was a taco truck, and now it's great as a sit down restaurant. There are some very authentic items on the menu, and the tortillas are incredible... The food is great, and the service is always friendly. Overall, it's a great little restaurant. Oh and do yourself a favor and try the chorro's and horchata!
