Texas Roadhouse had about 60 people waiting so we tried something new, only had about 3 cars in parking lot when we pulled in. I haven't tried all their award winning BBQ, but they had the 2nd best steak I've ate and probably best chicken too. Not a fan of the Potato salad but great salad with the house made ranch, was very unique.
I got the 14oz outlaw ribeye and my fiancé got the Hawaiian chicken. Highly recommend both.
The food was great, especially the brisket. They have that down for sure. Good tasting BBQ sauce. We had a new server who didn't know all of the menu yet, but she was a great server and wasn't afraid to ask coworkers to get us the right answer to our food questions.

An exceptional great meal! Nice atmosphere, well trained and attentive staff! As a professionally trained chef, it’s never hard for me to find something to critic about most restaurants, but this was such a pleasant surprise.. nothing to find fault with! Ribs -outstanding...steak, aged to perfection, yeast rolls like my grandmother made! Homemade ranch dressing - stellar!!! Not in this area often, but if I ever have cause to be, this will be a ‘must stop!’
Tried this place while in the area for work. I was skeptical at first when I ordered ribs and steak and they were out of ribs. So I went with the Outlaw Cut Ribeye and I must say it has to be one of the best steaks I’ve ever had the pleasure to eat, and I’m a beef man. Everything about the steak was perfect, will definitely eat here again if I’m back in town.
Great Place to eat. Our server Maudie was super nice. She had a party table but kept up with our needs. And at one point she kept Jacob entertained. Awesome atmosphere.
Maudie was great server and the BQ was great. It was as good as it was at the Toledo Rib off where they won 1st place
Stop due to traffic backed up and couldn’t have found a better place to eat. Ribs are awesome, brisket is the bomb, pulled pork was great. If you’re in the area I would highly suggest stopping and eating here.

We went there with a group of eight on a Saturday around 6pm and were seated within 5 minutes. Our waitress Maudi was excellent and kept all our drinks full and checked on us often. She made sure the kids' meals came out in the first round and ours followed closely behind. Food was excellent as always and my medium rare steak was cooked perfectly. Our guests were very impressed with the food and service. Our go to place for date night and we always have great service at the bar.
We are from Illinois and stopped here for dinner! The wait staff was quick, friendly, and so nice. I also have to appreciate that our waitress, Maudie, gave us the military discount, even though we didn’t ask for it, after she heard us talking about my fiancé being in the Army. I think it’s amazing when stores honor our military men and women!
Aside from that, the food was fantastic! The steak didn’t even need sauce, the ranch dressing is definitely homemade and delicious, and the loaded baked potato is a meal on its own! Next time I am in the area, I will definitely be back!!
Thank you Maudie and the rest of the crew. You all have created a wonderful dining experience!!
I'd have to say I had be convinced by a coworker to eat here. There was something about the curb appeal that was lacking. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It was a lot better than any chain and the hostess was overly helpful.
Ribs were delicious and falling off the bone. Service was friendly and speedy. Overall great experience and great food
I eat at Texas outlaw on occasions. Their BBQ can be the best around depending on which day you visit. When their ribs are on, they are hard to beat. Spare ribs are my favorite and most of the times their ribs kick major butt. Their pulled pork is delicious as well. They use two different types of sauces; one is honey based and the other is on the spicy side, combined it's very good. Most of the times their smoked BBQ is hard to beat. That's why I usually go back. The prices are a little high but I will pay it to get quality BBQ.
Horrible name, okay 'cue.... ...but nothin' special. I actually avoided this place for years because with a name like that I assumed it was a chain. If you're a local place you should be "Kentucky Outlaw" or something suitable. Plus it's on the interstate and looks like a generic chain restaurant. I miss the old Tas-Tee-BBQ that used to be in an old gas station on the Dixie near Hawkins Drive...
Although short staffed (delays for service), our waitstaff (Wilma) was wonderful and catered to us. She didn't let the circumstances spoil her awesome personality. That said, the food was great! Will make a future trip back here. There's a reason why it's the #1 BBQ!
Enjoyed Texas Outlaw at the Ribfest. The ribs were seasoned well, the sauce was good and it was very tender. Loved the option of adding my own extra sauce after receiving my order. 4 stars because the ribs taste like they were boiled and then put on the grill.
Had a salad, Hot Pepper cheese cubes and a tall beer. Price wise everything was great. Only issue was the beer wasn't cold and the mug wasn't either. Other than that service was great food came out quick and we didn't have to wait an hour and 40 minutes to eat at Texas Roadhouse. Lot of people were ordering the ribs and they did look fantastic and smelled great.
My fiance and I wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse, but that place was busy so we decided to come here instead. And it was honestly pretty good. I ordered the ribs and grilled chicken while my fiance ordered the Outlaw Burger. The photo is a potato appetizer we had which we got since they were out of Blooming Onion. The reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is because they seemed to be out of a lot of stuff (Blooming onion, mashed potatoes, salmon burger, pretty much a lot of stuff we wanted) and the fact that they seem to be short staffed a lot (which is admittedly not much of their fault in this economy). Overall a really nice place with some cool decor and really good ribs.
Everything was wonderful! Our waitress was awesome as well! Blooming onion and mushrooms are a must!!! I don't think you can go wrong with anything though!
Food was really good. No wait to be seated but there was one Server for several tables and she had to get or make everyone's drink from the bar. They also must have been short in the kitchen because it took awhile to get our food. Server was working hard and very polite. We will definitely go back to see how it is when it is not Mothers Day.
On our way heading back up to Indiana and decided to give this place a try. We got the steak combo, one with ribs and other with shrimp. We got our food in a timely matter and everything tasted good. The waitress was also really friendly and made sure we were taking care of. Definitely glad we stopped and will again if we’re close by.
