Visiting Elk Grove for wedding but no stranger to the Bay Area. Came out from Atlanta and yhis our first really hanging in Elk Grove.
Looking for a great sandwich and found the West Coast Sourdough. As a Sourdough Bread aficionado, I really wanted to try this place out.
I had the chicken pesto sandwich and couldn't wait to try the Sourdough bread. I did t have any expecting but this sandwich was on point. Very good quality and fresh toppings. The pesto sauce was tangy and fresh.
The big question was the bread for me. I would say it wasn't the best Sourdough bread I've ever had but it was very good and had that crunch especially when heated. One of my all time Sourdough bread is from Pescadero out by Halfmoon Bay.
This establishment Sourdough bread is very good and complimented the sandwich with all of the other flavors. Very good quality.
I would highly recommend this place if you're out in the Sac and Elk Grove area.
Went in for early dinner yesterday and had an amazing Turkey Sandwich! The bread was soft and wonderful. Staff friendly and fun! I definitely recommend visiting WC Sourdough!!
It's your basic sandwich shop - which is a good thing! Ingredients are fresh, clam chowder is tasty. The bread is really good, especially right out of the oven.
This is a great place to eat. Staff is friendly, and well... it's a damn good sandwich!
Best bread I’ve ever had outside of Boudienes in SF. The Deli meats and bacon are perfect. All the cheeses are like artisan quality and it’s REAL food. We always get the sand which with soup cause the tomato bisque is so good. I want to try the soup out of a bread bowl next. Seriously best quality sandwich in town I eat here atleast twice a month for the last year since I found at the beginning of the pandemic through DoorDash.
Let's face it,.. we all go for the clam chowder. Pick up and bring home. Dash of fresh cracked pepper and enjoy. Best clam chowder in Elk Grove.
