Great authentic Mexican!
Located in the Enchanted Forest Shopping Center, Ernesto’s is in the corner. Plenty of seating areas, and outdoor dining as well. The bar area is very small. So not so many seats there. But like I said, they have great authentic Mexican food.
This place is and always will be my go to for Mexican food. Prices aren’t bad and the food is “Fine Mexican Food”. It all tastes fresh and the hot salsa, I love spicy food, is so good! My only issue is sometimes they forget to put it in my take out order, which can make me a little sad.
Great price for the quality of food. The authentic taste proves and setting is great for a date night or celebrating festivities with friends. Drinks are well priced also. If you like authentic Mexican cuisine and an intimate setting, this is more fitting. Highly recommend the fish tacos and Tortilla Soup.
They have definitely redeemed themselves since the last time I was here. All of the staff members were very friendly.
The margaritas were pretty good and the smoked salsa is absolutely delicious.
The stuffed jalapeno appetizer is a must if you like jalapenos. It was very, very good.
Also, the cinnamon mints are a nice touch.
This place is awesome. Fantastic food, drinks and service. Everyone is always so friendly. My daughter and I love it here.
In my opinion, Ernesto's has the best Mexican food in Howard County. The fajitas are our usual choice at the restaurant. We've tried them all -- steak, chicken, shrimp, veggie and a combo. Everything is grilled beautifully. The food comes out to your table wonderfully fresh and with a great aroma. The vegetables are cooked just right; not over cooked or under cooked.
There is one special dish that we have ordered a few times. It is flamed at table side and is a tower of shrimp, chicken and beef. I'm not sure of what it is called but just ask the waiter about the flaming tower, and they will know what you are talking about. I recommend sharing it with a friend or plan on bringing leftovers home.
Even the chips and salsa served when you are first seated are better than those at other Mexican restaurants. The prices are very reasonable especially given the quality and quantity of the food. Our usual choice, the combo fajitas (shrimp/chicken), are $16.99. You can also get them for two for about $28.00. We've tried other dishes and were always happy with our choices, but the fajitas are the best selection in my opinion.
Oh, did I forget to mention the margaritas. They are huge and very, very good. We brought a number of friends to the restaurant and everyone has loved it.
Food was great as was the service. It does get crowded so you may have to wait for a table. We waited 10 minutes on a Wednesday night at 8pm.
Favorite spot in the area! Great food. Friendly service. Awesome queso!
