Umi Sushi was a good visit. Took one of my kiddos there for a birthday lunch. It looks like a small restaurant on the inside but there is a patio out back with lots of seating available outside. It is very well set up with nice atmosphere.
For lunch I got shrimp tempura roll which is my favorite roll and Hibachi steak and shrimp. I think it was my first time having the Hibachi dish but I would definitely have it again. The steak was cooked well and moist. And the shrimp was a good compliment.
Great sushi from this place. The tuna sample was amazing.
Didn't love the salad dressing. (Big deal). And the sashimi plate we got wasn't my favorite.
But presentation and flavor was great!
Finally found the best sushi I've had in Maryland since I was in Japan! Excellent customer service and all the crew were very attentive. Will be back for sure!
best sushi i’ve had at a very fair price. the clear soup was the best i’ve had. the garlic chili tofu is perfectly crisp on the outside while very soft on the inside. the vegetable tempura has a large serving size with a delicious sauce. the angry lobster roll is hands down the best roll i’ve tried. highly recommend, great service, one of my favorite places to eat.
The best sushi I’ve ever had paired with incredible presentation & a beautiful patio on the river. We’re obsessed and will definitely be back. Did I mention the price point is right on par with less “fancy” restaurants? Truly a unicorn

I didn't realize I had not left a review here. we showed up about 2 days after they officially opened a few years ago and they made a wonderful impression on us then. the staff were extremely friendly and willing to talk to you about the menu if you had any questions. we got a free dessert with our meal that I think they continued through the pandemic if you ordered to go as many times we would have two mini cheesecakes included with our order for free. every single sushi piece we have tried we have enjoyed. they do a wonderful job with their meat selection and the combination of sushi that they come up with. they have a variety of sushi from fried to raw to vegetarian. they also serve poke bowls and several other dishes. we have ordered to go several times and it's always been an easy order and pick up. dining inside is just as nice and it seems they have expanded to have a patio area outside. the place is extremely clean and every employee we've met friendly. I am happy to see this place is still doing well and will continue to eat wonderful food from there myself.
Beautiful outdoor dining area in the backyard. The salmon dish was good or bad, as each time the amount of the salmon fish on my plate varies. Too disappointed to take a photo of it today, very thinly sliced, wheras my previous experience was better . I feel it could not be sold by weight, as once explained to me by the staff. I will try something else next time.
Made reservations for Saturday night, place was busy and packed and was pleasantly surprised how quick the service was and that food came out very quickly. I got the omakase nigiri set, and I was again pleasantly surprised at the cuts of fish offered, and that each piece was amazing. Easily the best sushi in MD.
