We waited for a bit to get seated but the visit was awesome. The waitress was so nice and caring, she did everything possible to make us comfortable and happy. I had the club sandwich and my husband had a slam burger, it was delicious, I got a free milkshake because my drink that I ordered was a strawberry lemonade which was very impowering with very sweet strawberries. She was so good to us! We will be returning :)
Came in on a busy Saturday afternoon and our server Jennifer was absolutely awesome!!! We will be back again!!!!!!! She's the best!!!
Saturday August 15, Collier's Rehab and Nsg employees had a get together at Denny's in Ellsworth...must have been over 30 of us or more
The service was excellent... food delivered so we were all eating together... the waitress on my end of the table brought the orders out in order and never had to ask "who had the bacon and eggs" type thing... It was awesome. I posted photos on my page and also am telling anyone who will listen what a wonderful experience it was on Saturday.
The cooks were awesome too... and it seemed that the people at the booths around us had service in a timely manner also.

We we're at Denny's today, the manager came out to tell us his cook just quit and he was doing double duty (Marco) and that our meal was on the house. We ate our food which was good. Marco came out to check on us and again told us our meal was free. We didn't feel right with that so we left the host some money and the put it towards another family's meal. Top notch people!

I just wanted to share my experience that I had last night here. The waitress was super attentive and made sure my friend and I had everything needed. She noticed that food was taking a bit so she went to check on the slip and they ended up losing it. They had to put the order back in and they rushed it. She had apologized over and over and even offered us free salad or desert on the house. We took the desert and she also gave us one to go! When we went to check out, the store manager had informed us that it was going to be a couple minutes before we could cash out because the machine was down and we said it was completely fine. The waitress that was standing there had told him about our whole experience we had from waiting for our food to accidentally spilling my coffee everywhere! She said that we were super respectful and made what could have been a crappy situation for them into a good one. The store manager then asked to see our check and told us he would pay the bill for us. I was honestly shocked beyond belief and when I got in the car I started crying at how unbelievably thankful I was for this guy. It just shows that patients and manners in a restaurant setting goes a long way! Thanks for such a wonderful experience!
We had an amazing meal tonight! The staff was wonderful! Also thank you to the staff for breaking our bills for quarters so we could win 11 stuffed animals! We will be back!
They were swamped! With customers but our server, Meg, was very sweet and welcoming. The kitchen staff and the servers would encourage each other. Very positive, great to see. P.S. the food was perfect too! Great job 👍 Ellsworth Denny's ❣️
We were on vacation , stopped here for breakfast. It was perfect!! Our waitress was wonderfully pleasant, fast and friendly!! Unfortunately, we didn't catch her name but she was probably early 30's, dark hair and nose pierced. She was a ray of sunshine!! The cook, also General manager, Marco, was on a 30 hour straight shift, because of a call off. It didn't affect our food one bit. Food was cooked and presented perfectly!! Marco was still in great spirits!! The waitress said Marco is always cheerful, positive and treats his employees great. She said he was the best boss she has ever had! This was one of the best breakfasts we have had and by far, the best service ever!! We have been to a lot of high, end restaurants and the service we received here was by far better than any of the high end places!! Highly recommend!!
Have been there twice in the last month, we have had the same waitress both times. Kayla Hutchinson from Ellsworth Maine. Excellent service, she checked on us multiple times during our time there. It was so busy there due to short staff one of our nights there and she stayed on task perfect. This waitress will go far. Awesome job Ms. Kayla
Typical Denny's. Food was good, service was acceptable. There was tremendous laugher and joking going on with the staff. As a customer, I felt like an afterthought. Credit card machine wasn't working correctly. Place was clean and comfortable and the food was prepared correctly and promptly
Our waitress Jenny was awesome! She was very timely, friendly and open about chatting with her little soon-to-be bundle of joy! She made our dinner experience great! The food was good too!
Kids had pancakes and enjoyed them. We had the spicy pepper skillet with extra jalapeno, exellent. We were very satisfied. Was much better service than the other big pancake house we stopped at on the way to Bar Harbor.
We went there for breakfast this morning. My mom wanted a Belgium waffle and they didn't ask what she wanted on it so she ended up with a plain Belgium waffle. But it was very good. My breakfast was good as well. Good food good prices.
Food was great as was the service. I wish the portions were a bit bigger and the bacon had been cooked a bit more but overall it was very good. Very glad they had gluten free english muffins!

This location has the absolute friendliest servers.
At this point in time, this is the only restaurant available after 9pm, which is why our family decided to venture down the street to this location.
We were not disappointed and enjoyed our meal as we expected. As my father would and did say, "the 9-grain pancakes were darn good." (That's what he ate during our experience.)
I would also recommend the super strawberry banana split supreme pancaké breakfast. They were good.
Will be trying out the bathroom shortly.
met Midwest friends here just before the supper run on a July Friday. The friends had a 2yo and 1yo. Staff was prompt, attententive, kind, nice, and communicative. The food was just as lovely!
