We stopped in for pie and coffee. If you like pie and coffee, you’ll be VERY happy here. We had the strawberry-rhubarb and the raspberry pies. The strawberry-rhubarb was very good but slightly over sweetened for my taste and without a strong underlying flavor to make it go. The raspberry pie also sweet but had a raspberry punch that made it an excellent pie. All the pies are made on-premise by the way. The coffee, while not gourmet, stands up well to the pie.

Hats off to the staff of The front porch. I was in there today for their Christmas meal. And what an awesome meal it was. I felt like family in there. What a great place, Bob Gustafson.

What a great little spot! Homemade food served by such friendly people, in a great small town! It's a "suggested donation" restaurant with proceeds going to local charities. I felt like I was in Mayberry & I LOVED IT!

We love this spot! We discovered Front Porch Ministries during a summer vacation on Lake Charlevoix and fell in love the first time we ate here. It is a non-profit ministry and the prices are suggested donation. We always give more as the food is excellent. I highly recommend stopping here for breakfast or lunch!

The best hometown restaurant ever. Been coming here since I can remember not always been called the front porch, but still as good as ever. Staff is as friendly as they come. They are quick and courteous. The cooks are great and extremely fast. So glad this place is still open. Prices can't really be beat and portion are very generous. Thanks!!!

As close to a home cooked meal as you can get, the food and service were amazing. we would recommend this to anyone.

This is my wife’s favorite place to escape to. Like Cheers (the TV show) where everybody knows your name. They have all the standards and daily specials that are really a “cut above” the standard fair. Nice deserts especially the home cooked pies usually 3 or 4 variety. Prices are very reasonable. It is a community outreach operation, so please be generous. The restaurant feeds people in need. If we don’t do it who will?
