Good place to try: hole in the wall exterior yummy eats on the interior. Had the chicken taco : very good. Had the carnitas place very good and served with a torilla the size of a manhole cover!

Super good food. Place looks like your typical cheap taco shop. Large food selection. Only bummer is it is a cash only shop, but they have an ATM.
Another vote for the California burrito. Do yourself a favor and get one.
2 words: California burrito! Absolutely the best California burrito in town. If u haven't had one it's a burrito with French fries inside, and it's amazing. Totally worth the $4. Drop in after a surf session and u won't be disappointed. The sign says "Carnitas" in big letters but don't be fooled cuz that's the place!
Sticky Floors = Good Food. Great Leucadia taco shop! The floors are sticky and the line is out the door... You know it's going to be great. Try the California Burrito.
Juanita's also has the Arizona burrito . Â It's like the California burrito, but swaps out the the sour cream and cheese for guacamole and salsa fresca. I actually liked the Arizona better than the California, and I liked the California a lot! Juanita's gives you plenty of salsa to go.
The food was delicious and crafted that every bite had a new flavor and taste. My lovely date, and I, both got the California Burrito. A fresh soft flour tortilla that had a incredible seasoned grilled steak pieces, covered with a generous amount of Mexican Street fries. The cheese was melted perfectly, mixed with the house seasonings and sour cream. We asked for our guacamole on the side. Every bite was as delicious as the first. I enjoyed the burrito and it was worth the price, both in taste and quality, was only able to take down half at the restaurant. That's how big it was. Was only visiting the area but, I just might have to make another visit to try some of their other menu items. I would recommend the restaurant and the staff were very nice and a pleasure having them serve us. I enjoyed the food and will try and make it back soon.
Bacon Breakfast Burrito (add potato) was OUTSTANDING! Carnitas burrito was good. Love the spicy green and red salsas that came with them.

This place has some of the best Carnitas tacos hands down. My wife and I are from Los Angeles and know a thing or two about great tacos. We had was the standard Carnitas tacos and a Machaca burrito with the delicious salsa they serve to compliment the meal. The location is small but it’s big on tasty food. This is one of our definite stops on our way to Baja California.
Great Mexican food, my favorite place to go. I love the chicken tacos in. The burritos are awesome. The place has gotten a bit pricey over the years though
Juanitas is probably my favorite go-to breakfast burrito in SoCal which is saying a lot since there are a lot of Mexican food options down here. Every time I go to Encinitas, I go to Juanitas.
