Great pizza, calzones, and pepperoni and cheese subs! Don’t forget to get a salad with the creamy Italian. Rico started the business long ago and now Sal has continued his fathers business. These are true New Yorkers and I love the size of the pizza’s for price! Not a huge place, but just a great little pizza joint that I truly miss since I moved away from Denver!

It's it's own thing... Brings that "staple" Italian sub/pizza shop on the corner back and then does it's own darn thing. What else you want around here!?!?

Just the best place in town......absolutly the best price food people and atmosphere no where else feels this much like home in Denver.
I have been coming to Rico's for over 25 years. Nothing has changed except for the TV set is now a flat screen. The combo sub with the works is still my favorite. It is the best I've ever had, bar none. Even though I have moved to over a thousand miles away, I keep coming back whenever I'm in town. The home made sub bread is the absolute best, It is totally unique to Rico's, never had any thing similar anywhere in the country. I wish I could take some back home.

Been eating here for 18 yrs and never get sick of it. Italian salad with creamy Italian is a must. Combo sub is my next favorite!!

Looking all over Denver for awesome pizza. Ricos is a very small hole in the wall with decent pizza. Not the ultimate but better than most places in Denver. It is not thin crust, and a bit doughy, the sauce would really go up a notch if they added some Basil/spices.
I give it 3.6 stars.
I've tried top pizza places in virtually every town in Colorado, the best in Colorado is Antonios in Estes Park.

Sometimes when you see a place with more than four star reviews you have to wonder: do the owners/managers have their friends and family advocating for them? Then you run across a place like Rico's.
I used to be a regular customer of businesses along that stretch of South Broadway. Then my employment changed and I wasn't in that neighborhood often. Even when I was a regular I still never stopped in a Rico's (probably because we were always going to the Breakfast Queen a few doors down). Well, I recently found myself on South Broadway and hungry. I needed a place I could walk to and Rico's had better reviews than anywhere else within walking distance so I decided to give them a try.
And it was good. Everything - the whole experience, from being welcomed at the door to ordering to the food itself.
I really only wanted a slice of pizza, maybe a calzone, but my stomach was doing the ordering so I ended up with lasagna entree, side of sausage, garlic bread and a salad. For too much food, but I was a champ and ate it all anyway.
I only have two complaints, both of them minor:
1 - the sausage was a la carte and was sold to me as a nice addition to the cheese lasagna. I thought it would have been sliced and baked in, not on its own plate. And,
2 - the sauce the sausage was smothered in wasn't that great.
Otherwise, everything was fantastic, especially the atmosphere. I have a soft spot for these tiny intimate family-owned restaurants and this one was worth writing about.
Awesome people! After grubhub never showed, and they were already closed, Rico's remade my order and delivered it! The food was great as always! Ten stars!
This is the best pizza I have ever had. The service is always kind and fast, the pizza is always perfect. I always look forward to Fridays when I can order pizza and it makes me feel so happy to eat Rico's. 10/10 would eat again.
