Top notch. Went here for lunch; we each got three pierogis with coleslaw for about $8.50.
These pierogis are HUGE, each one weighing in around 1/4 pound. Mine were stuffed with sweetened cheese, potato and cheddar, and potato cheddar bacon. They come covered with sauteed onions. All three varieties were spectacular and different.
The coleslaw was one of the best I've ever had.
I would recommend this place to anyone.
Awesome food. Everything homemade. Just like grandma used to make. Definitely would recommend.
Went on Leap Day 2012 to satisfy a pierogies craving...oh my God! Huge pierogies, cooked to a nice crisp on the skin, full of potato and bacon, and covered in sweetly sautéed onions. Made me miss my grandma, who always had pierogies on the table for those Sunday dinners.
Mama Dabrowski is as pleasant as she is cheeky. Not the highest quality as meal ingredients go, however, the latter is compensated for by the amount of heart that goes into said dishes. The bacon and cheese pierogies are good, better if they were made fresh instead of mass-produced and frozen !
Food was wonderful. I never had czarnina before and was allowed to sample it here. Not as vinegary as i expected and the cook explained she tones it down. Definitely much better than expected. My wife had the Polish breakfast and was very happy especially with the Polish toast which is a sweet bread. I had the ox roast sandwich, again a first for me. The shredded ox was very tender. I ordered the Polish platter to go and did not eat until the next day. Still, everything had a taste different from other Polish food I've had including in Poland, all to the better. The pierog was the largest I ever saw. I intend to return every time I am in Erie. Current menu attached as of Sept 2021. You'll see that the prices are good.
Polish breakfast is excellent! My grandparents and I got the Polish breakfast with potato pancakes and ate every last bite of it, it was delicious. We love Joyce and loved coming here
Loved this place. My daughter took me there. When I came to visit here last week. I'll make sure to go back. As soon as I make another trip to see her. Great food
Friendly atmosphere and outstanding food! Breakfast or lunch, you can't go wrong. Joyce & Rick are a hoot!
I met a friend here on his recommendation. He raved about the Polish food here and it did not disappoint! The Polish Breakfast special was amazing! It includes 2 eggs made to order, a large potato pancake, a large homemade sausage patty, Polish sweet bread and homemade strawberry jelly that was to die for. Everything was delicious! The place was clean and the service was fast and friendly with a sense of humor, which I like. I've heard their pierogies are the best around, so that'll be the next thing I try. They make 8 different kinds and you can order for take out. I will be frequenting this place, for sure!
Experience was excellent. Food was clearly homemade, and it showed. As a person that has experienced authentic Polish food while in Poland, this stuff was a cut above. Service was great, the owners were incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. My girlfriend is originally from northern Poland, and her exact quote was "It filled my soul".
Fantastic authentic polish food.
Their pierogies are fantastic! I would recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant to anyone. They also offer fresh subs, burgers, and more. Also love their breakfast.

We loved the food and Joyce, who sports the shirt saying "Come for the food, stay for the attitude." A full throated "yes" to both! We dug the Polish bread, sausage and potato pancakes. Everything, including the strawberry jam was made here. Don't miss the display case celebrating Polish dolls and alcohol.
