My father and I stayed this last weekend and wow what a beautiful historic building! Ed and suzell were super nice to meet and talk with. Friday we got in just in time for the fish dinner and I have to say 5 out of 5! Beautiful place, awesome people, and great food!
Just left a beautiful wedding/reception... Everything was so perfect... from the placing of the ceremony, to cocktails, to an absolutely INCREDIBLE binner buffet...to mouth watering dessert. The wait staff was kind and VERY considerate... The dinner buffet.. WOW!.. chicken and pork were done to perfection ( my compliments to the chefs).. LOVED the strawberry cashew salad... my favorite... and the desserts!!!!... YUMMMMM!. Sam and Austins wedding day was just perfect ... :)
Excellent service! The food was absolutely delicious! Our table of 5 could have not been happier! Will spread the word and we all will be back!
A gem in the city of Escanaba. The fish fry is wünderbarn... the deep fried pickles and gimlets inspire my dreams.
Great place to stay, super friendly staff and owners, and excellent food and drinks

Always enjoyed going there for dinner. Been going there off on for about 12 years.
Phenomenal historic place! We stayed overnight at the hotel and were greeted warmly by Suzell. Our room was impeccably clean and comfortable with buttery soft sheets on the bed and plenty of cozy seating to watch the incoming storm over Lake Michigan. Our dinner was superb and we were treated to fantastic stories by Ed as we wound down our evening at the bar. Thank you both for an incredible stay -- we'll definitely be back again!!

Very nice and wonderful atmosphere. Food was great.
For sure my favorite place in town to eat. Always great friendly service
Great food nice place to Eat and the soups are the best ...
Imagine the bustle of century old booming port here. Didn't expect a lot for 150 year old building, but pleasantly surprised at how much I loved the eery, quaint and charming character of this place. Beautiful view if Little Bay deNoc and comfy bed. Nobody around ... Can walk into the Irish pub and help yourself a nightcap i imagine if you left a $20 for the keepers. It is being sold and likely redeveloped so glad we got to experience it.
I LOVE the House of Ludington. It is elegance and charm wrapped up in a very comfortable atmosphere. My daughter's wedding was an absolute dream come true thanks to the exceptional staff and attention to detail. I would highly recommend for dinner as well as a banquet. Suzelle's cooking is VERY tough to beat!!!
Dinner was exceptional, my family and I loved it. We will definitely be back!

After hearing from some co-workers this week about what a good fish fry is to be had here at the House of Ludington, Tom and i thought we'd try it. Haven't been here in a number of years. The waiter/bartender was very nice and accommodating, was able to make Tom's favorite drink which is a Singapore Sling blended and my Bloody was perfect with a nice sized Widow Maker to chase it with. He actually didn't even bother asking Tom if he wanted another drink but just brought the pitcher over and refilled his glass stating there was enough, yet, for him and the other bartender to try after work. They were out of the soup, as we didn't get there until about 8:00, so he offered an upgraded salad for the replacement which was the strawberry cashew with mixed greens and was so big that we shared this. Tom ordered the delicious Crab-stuffed Whitefish, huge portion. That was made with real crab meat, I was worried it would be imitation like a lot of places around here try to get away with. He also ordered the Fried Cheesy Potato Crock for his side. This was something I'd not seen anywhere else and was fantastic. It was like a re-baked potato at the Stonehouse only in a crock instead of in the peel and then with cheese over it and baked, pretty nice size portion as well. I had heard that the perch was excellent so this is what I ordered and stuck to the basic go withs, i.e., baked potato, coleslaw, and baked beans. The potatoe was baked like I make them sometimes at home with baking them until done then rolling in butter then season the peel with sea salt and other spices and put back in the oven to crisp it up a little... really nicely done and I like to eat the peel they are healthy for you. The slaw was finely grated and believe it or not was also as delish as coleslaw can be. The perch is ordered by the ounces or the pound... I ordered 1/2 #. They were nice sized and i got 7 or 8 fillets, probably should have ordered only 6 ounces but Tom and I shared, took our time and were able to polish it all off. They were lightly breaded and not greasy which I liked. Their hours were that they close at 9 but we didn't feel rushed and several other tables were seated after us... very relaxing. Also, saw an old friend there and a retired co-worker who said their meals were perfect as well. Will definitely be going back.
Not only wonderful food. But, I got my gorgeous English Springer Spaniel there.
Had my wedding and reception there very nice people!!!!!
