Outstanding seafood and kids meals were delicious. Baked haddock boat w/ onion rings were great. Both The fried calamari and clam chowder soup were the best I’ve ever had. The kids chicken fingers were great too, lightly battered and fried.
Just as good as the "big name" fish shacks that draw in tourists, without the line. The batter could use a little seasoning, but nothing a bit of salt and pepper can't fix. The portions are generous, and the fish portions are huge. Definitely would recommend.
This is our new go to seafood place. The portions are plentiful, tastes great and the prices aren't too outrageous
I ordered the Fisherman (Seafood) Plate. The price was a little hefty 38.99, no local clams due to Red Tide in the area, the ones served were from Maine and were delicious and safe to eat. The food was fantastic and well worth the price. There was so much food on this plate. It was loaded with clams, scallops, shrimp, haddock, fries and onion rings. Everything was perfectly cooked and was piping hot when we got it. I would suggest sharing a plate because I had a lot leftover. The staff was very nice and the building was very clean. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for some amazing New England Seafood but do not want to wait in the long lines of other more well known establishments. Essex Seafood taste better and is a more pleasant dining experience.
Nice place. It's counter service but they have a nice dining area. Food was ready fast. I got lobster roll and fries and both were very good. We also got fried scallops which were a bit sandy but I think that's inevitable. It was a bit pricey but I guess that's the season. $67- lobster roll, scallop basket and two fountain drinks.
Wow. I've had many, and I mean MANY, fried clams in my life and these were some of the best I've ever had. In my top 3.
I can't forget to talk about the tartar sauce. It is almost as important as the food. I mean really it can make or break a meal. And, well, it's phenomenal. Absolutely perfect
Practically empty at 2PM, great food with generous portions. Very clean, extra tartar sauce provided with a smile. Not crazy about the cole slaw, but fries, onion rings, fish, and clam strips were great. We'll be back.
The sea food is good but I would say it is on par with most places. I ordered the fried clams meal and thought the ratio of clams to onion strings and fries was a little heavier on the fry and string side compared to other places. Wife got the lobster roll which she said was good but nothing that fantastic. Good food but not extraordinary. I recommend but high prices.
Great fresh seafood eatery! I went with a friend and we split both our meals, mine a lobster roll with onion rings, my friends a clam boat with fries in addition to some clam chowder and a tiny coleslaw. We didn't know that this restaurant predominantly serves fried seafood.
My family's #1 go to place for some delicious fried seafood plates. We usually all go for the 4 seafood plate which has generous portions of fried haddock, fried shrimp, fried clams, fried scallops, french fries and onion rings. Like, the plates are huge and just heaping with deliciousness. The batter is fairly light and allows for the flavors of the seafood to shine through. Prices are based on the market and season. Going at the beginning of May 2018, each plate was approx $31 each, your price may vary. Plenty enough to share,or ensure you have leftovers for "round 2" at home. The restaurant is smallish and kinda cramped, but is always full of people. In the summer months, it sure is hot in there, even with the ceiling fans. One side is booths and the other is tables with 4 chairs. Parking is onsite, and when busy, kinda limited.
