This is how breakfast ought to be. Big, delicious omelettes, big portions of hash browns, good Jewish rye toast, and hot, strong coffee.
The servers were very attentive, keeping our coffee cups full as needed.
Prices are pretty much is line with other California restaurants we've eaten at, but the food was much better here at the House of Omelettes..
Stopped here for breakfast on the way out of town: after wading though their huge menu (breakfast is four pages) I settled on the breakfast special and an order of cheese blintz from the dessert menu (because it was there, that's why).
The crab omelet was simply amazing and generously stuffed with crab meat. The cheese blintz was melt-in-your-mouth creamy goodness.
Wait staff and uber friendly and the food portions are huge so come hungry.
Just OK!. Kitsch decor, friendly staff, always crowded. Not gourmet, but better than Denny's.....
Yum. We ate there for breakfast based on another review from Urbanspoon. It was delicious! Think of Grandma's house with lace curtains, mauve wallpaper and the smell of fresh brewed coffee. My husband had the biscuits and gravy. They were"buttery and delicious". I had the Chalet Omelette. It was bacon, avocado, and cheese PACKED. Great service and price. Definitely will satisfy any breakfast hunger!
Local breakfast gem!. This place just gives me all kinds of good feelings. I've been eating here regularly since 2006, and have yet to be disappointed. Staff are always personable, polite, and focused on your satisfaction. The food is nothing fancy, but it's quick, the quality is good, and portions are very large (usually). This is the little place that all the locals know and love, so you may end up waiting a while for a table on a busy Sat or Sun morning.
We enjoyed our experience. The service and atmosphere is very pleasant...but beware, the portions may be more than what you're use to🤓
Working in the area and first time here. Was looking for a breakfast restaurant that served blueberry pancakes. Today, Saturday it was packed at 08:20 when I ordered to go. Staff, although very busy, were super friendly and took my order quickly. Spanish omelet, hashbrowns w/gravy, two blueberry pancakes. Wow, the food came out very fast with huge pancakes and lots of blueberries inside and on top of pancakes, huge omelet and hashbrowns. Plenty for two breakfasts. It was all excellent! Great job by cooks and wait staff. No wonder they’re packed as soon as they open.
This is the second time we have eaten here. Both times: VERY satisfied. The servers and hostesses are quick, friendly and made sure to make you feel special. Appreciated the friendliness so very much. The food comes out quickly. Great quality. Recently, the last few places I ordered country gravy from had been...sub-par. This was not the case here. It's great food, all around. Linquica and eggs: yum! Good prices. Definitely recommend this place.
Hands down the best breakfast in Humboldt... or anywhere. Food is cooked perfectly even on a busy day. So friendly and the service is exceptional.
Great local breakfast spot; reviews led us there. Food was good; not ground breaking, but all seemed fresh, and generous portions on deck.
Granted, we are southerners and as such, are accustomed to breakfast fare containing a bit more salt to awaken things, and most things we've encountered here in CA are seemingly prepared without the stuff. No biggie... It's on the table.
Our waitress was great, both as a server and impromptu tour guide, going so far as to bring us handwritten directions to a couple things we needed to see while in the area.
Very busy on a Saturday morning. Took my elderly father here and the waitresses were phenomenal.
Food was home cooked and delicious. Great atmosphere, I can see why they're so popular. Wonderful service.
If your around Eureka you have to stop here for Breakfast or lunch . We were just passing through on our road trip and decided to stop and had the most amazing breakfast with the best services. We had Olivia as our waitress and she was so sweet and gave us tips and ideas on what to do in the area. This place has a very welcoming atmosphere and I couldn’t recommend it enough.
Stopped in on Father's Day for a takeout order of breakfast sandwiches and despite being extraordinarily busy, staff was super sweet and the food turned out excellent. Our server even offered to refill our to-go coffees before leaving! A nice little mom & pop diner vibe with some good food selections.
Breakfast all day is great. All breakfast orders were great. Waitresses were friendly, & frequently came by table to ask if we needed more beverage, if we needed anything, & if meal was ok.
It wasnt to crowded and the staff came right to oyr table and gave us coffee and took our order and didnt have to wait a long time to get our food and it was cook perfectly
