Dinner here was fine, but nothing special to be honest. The wine was decent, but the food was inconsistent. Specifically, most of the seafood was overcooked and somewhat rubbery in texture as a result. Noteworthy tasty things were the bucatini amatriciana along with the Tiramisu which were delicious
After driving to Evanston from Chicago, we parked our car and arrived. The host turned us away saying the whole restaurant is booked. There were three active tables. This was at 4pm. We came back at 5:15 pm and it was still empty.
Great place for Italian. We got the fried calamari appetizer, which was some of the best I've had. I had the lamb special which was excellent. My wife got cacio e pepe and loved it as well. Make a reservation if you're going during peak dinner times.
They say it's Italian, well just because the serve pasta doesn't make it so. I came early enough so there was no crowd but the service is really slow. Just start with the bread which was dense and terrible then I ordered the fish over mashed potatoes it just happened to be tuna over mashed potatoes

We ordered the meat lasagne which is $18. The portion is small, bland and you can’t find the three different types of meat.
Also ordered a pizza with mushroom and sausage. Tasted like a premade crust which they added cooked sausage and mushroom and heated it. I
The food is always fresh! Love all the salads and especially the pizza!!! Great service, friendly staff! Always a great place to get great food and enjoy it with friends and family!
It was nice but got extremely busy after 6p and my mushroom papperdelle had no sauce and I was told chef was too busy to provide me with any. It was taken off my bill so that was good. Eggplant n chx ravioli was delish.
By far the best pizza, pasta and salads in Evanston. Pizzas are thin crust with fresh meat and veggies cooked perfectly every time. Pollo di ravioli, delivered by accident, changed my life. Respect. 🙏
